Abstract

Description
本发明涉及吸收制品。所述吸收制品包括用多孔薄膜包覆的吸收芯子材料。本发明的吸收制品可以用于各种用途,包括卫生保护用品、尿布和绷带。
使用吸收用品如卫生巾、一次性尿布和绷带来吸收体液如经血、尿和伤口排出液。这些吸收用品通常要求其吸收衬垫或者吸收制品能吸收大量的体液。在某些情况下,所述吸收组分必须能吸收其重量大于吸收材料本身重量的体液。同时也要求吸收用品和身体接触的表面干燥,或者相对干燥,即使在吸收用品已经吸收了设计用来接受的体液之后。
美国专利No.3,929,135揭示了包含吸收材料和多孔薄膜的吸收结构。吸收材料例如可以是粉碎的木浆。多孔薄膜用作吸收结构的覆盖片。多孔薄膜一面是光滑的,而在另一面上具有凸起。多孔薄膜的凸起面向吸收材料,由此形成吸收结构。
美国专利No.4,341,217揭示了一次性吸收制品。所述吸收制品具有由例如粉碎木浆的材料制成的吸收芯子。多孔薄膜包覆着吸收芯子。多孔薄膜具有可面向吸收芯子两个主表面的凸起。
不管上述专利所揭示的内容如何,仍然要求吸收制品能够吸收大量的液体,而在吸收液体之后仍能提供使用者皮肤干爽的感觉。
本发明提供包括有内部吸收芯子材料的吸收制品,该吸收芯子具有第一主表面和第二主表面,即底层和顶层。吸收制品的底层是具有开孔面积和凸起的多孔薄膜,底层的取向,是使其凸起面向内部吸收芯子材料。吸收制品的顶层是具有开孔面积和凸起的多孔薄膜,顶层的取向,是使其凸起背向内部吸收芯子材料。
由于本发明制品的设计,以包括顶层和底层的多孔薄膜的凸起的取向为基础,本发明的制品能够吸收大量的液体。本发明制品的底层面向要吸收的液体。液体从吸收制品的底层流入吸收芯子。
吸收芯子能够吸收液体。由于顶层上凸起的具体取向,吸收制品的该顶层可以防止液体进入所述吸收制品。
吸收芯子可以由各种材料制成,包括人造纤维、天然纤维如(但不限于)棉花纤维和木浆纤维、合成纤维如(但不限于)聚酯纤维、聚酰胺纤维和聚烯烃纤维,以及它们的混合物。纤维可以是双组分纤维。例如,所述双组分纤维可以是表皮-芯子的结构,其中所述表皮是一种聚合物,所述芯子是另一种聚合物。也可以使用具有其它结构例如并排结构的双组分纤维。
构成吸收芯子的纤维最好在它们相互交叉并接触的点上粘合起来。例如,可以将纤维加热,使其软化并在交叉点处熔合在一起,来获得这种粘合。纤维也可以使用胶粘剂来粘合,所述胶粘剂可以通过例如喷涂或者凹版印刷方法施加。纤维通常是实心的,但是纤维或者其一些部分可以是中空的。具有约3-10但尼尔的纤维有利于用作吸收芯子。吸收芯子的基重没有限制,但是通常为0.003-0.015g/cm2。
在一优选的实施方案中,吸收芯子是由双组分纤维制得的非织造织物,它们使用热空气进行了熔化粘合。所述双组分纤维是表皮-芯子纤维,其中表皮材料是聚乙烯,所述芯子材料是聚酯。所述表皮-芯子纤维的但尼尔约为3。所述非织造织物的基重约为2盎司/码2。
本发明制品的顶层和底层由具有开孔面积和许多凸起的多孔薄膜制得。在美国专利No.3,929,135、美国专利No.4,324,246、美国专利No.4,342,045和美国专利No.5,006,394中揭示了这种多孔薄膜,其内容参考结合于此。
尤其有用的多孔薄膜包括由Tredeger提供的Vispore多孔薄膜。这种多孔薄膜包括,但不限于那些市售的商品名为Tredeger X-6799、Tredeger X-6845、Tredeger X-6923、Tredeger X-6944和Tredeger X-6844的产品。这些薄膜具有光滑的阴面,以及由于凸起而不太光滑的阳面。所述多孔薄膜可以由任何聚合材料制得,包括但不限于聚乙烯、茂金属催化聚乙烯、聚丙烯、以及它们的共聚物,和乙烯-乙酸乙烯酯共聚物。可以使用一种类型的多孔薄膜作为顶层,而另一种多孔薄膜用作底层。但是,通常使用相同的多孔薄膜作为底层和顶层。
本发明吸收制品的底层和顶层的多孔薄膜,其开孔面积定义为被开孔占据的面积。本发明制品的顶层和底层的开孔面积可以为多孔薄膜总面积的5-30%,宜为10-25%。
本发明制品的底层可以用疏水表面活性剂处理,所述表面活性剂包括但不限于山梨糖醇的月桂酸酯以及用环氧乙烷缩合的山梨糖醇酐,如聚山梨醇酯20、聚山梨醇酯40、聚山梨醇酯60以及聚山梨醇酯80;环氧乙烷/环氧丙烷共聚物;辛基苯酚乙氧基化物;壬基苯酚乙氧基化物和乙氧基化醇。术语“处理过”是指在用来制造有作底层的聚合树脂的聚合过程中将疏水表面活性剂结合进入到底层中;或者在制造多孔薄膜的过程中将疏水表面活性剂结合进入到聚合物中;或者在制得底层之后对底层用疏水表面活性剂涂覆。
若需要的话,多孔薄膜可以以抗微生物的有效量包含Triclosan或者类似的抗微生物剂。多孔薄膜有个光滑面和一个具有凸起的面。本发明吸收制品底层的取向,应使得多孔薄膜的有凸起的面向着粘合的吸收芯子。本发明制品顶层的取向,应使得多孔薄膜的有凸起的面向着吸收制品的外面。
通过本技术领域已知的方法,可以将本发明吸收制品的底层和顶层固定在吸收芯子材料上。例如将合适的胶粘剂施涂到吸收芯子材料的上面,然后将顶层置于吸收芯子上。然后,用胶粘剂涂覆吸收芯子的底面,将底层置于吸收芯子的底面。也可以使用本技术领域中已知的其它方法例如超声波粘合。
胶粘剂可以由包括溶液聚合或分散液聚合的工艺制得。胶粘剂可以是热熔胶粘剂。合适胶粘剂的例子包括,但不限于以苯乙烯嵌段共聚物和粘性树脂为基础的那些胶粘剂,如来自HB-Fuller Co.(st.Paul MN)的HL-1491、来自ATO-Findley(Wawataisa,WI)的H-2543、以及来自National Starch&Chemical(Bridgewater,NJ)的34-5534。也可以用乙烯共聚物,包括乙烯-乙酸乙烯酯共聚物。合适的胶粘剂也可包括丙烯酸基、糊精基以及氨基甲酸乙酯基胶粘剂,以及天然和合成弹性体。所述胶粘剂也可以包括无定形聚烯烃,包括无定形聚丙烯,如来自HB Fuller的HL-1308或者来自Huntsman(Odesssa,TX)的Rextac RT 2373。胶粘剂可以和Kraton合成橡胶等,或者具有增粘剂和抗氧化操作助剂的天然橡胶配合使用。
胶粘剂可以在熔融阶段施涂、喷涂或者缝口模头涂覆。所述喷涂可以采用控制涂覆、控制织造、控制纤维化、熔融喷吹、橡胶板轮转涂覆、丝网印刷或者其它非连续涂覆方法进行。
本发明也提供使用上述材料的方法。所述方法包括:将具有凸起的多孔薄膜置于表面上,凸起朝上;将胶粘剂施涂到吸收芯子材料的上表面上;将所述吸收芯子材料的上表面置于所述多孔薄膜上;将具有凸起的另一片多孔薄膜置于上表面上,凸起朝上;将胶粘剂施涂到该另一片多孔薄膜的上表面上;将吸收芯子材料的底表面置于该另一片多孔薄膜的上表面上;由此形成所述吸收制品。
本发明的吸收制品可以制成任何所需的形状,包括但不限于圆形、椭圆形、矩形、正方形以及三角形。本发明吸收制品的尺寸随所需的用途而不同。
本发明的吸收制品可以用作各种产品,或者产品的部件,包括但不限于绷带、卫生保护衬垫、尿布以及携带和/或施加抗痒剂、痤疮治疗剂、润湿剂(moisturizer)等的用品。对绷带而言,本发明的吸收制品可以是正方形、矩形、圆形、椭圆形或者三角形。绷带的尺寸根据绷带的形状以及用绷带包扎的伤口的尺寸而言。通常,正方形绷带的尺寸从5cm×5cm到15cm×15cm,宜为7.5cm×7.5cm到12.5cm×12.5cm。矩形绷带的长度为5-15cm,宜为7.5-12.5cm。矩形绷带的宽度为0.5-5cm,宜为1-3cm。圆形绷带的外径可以为5-20cm,宜为7.5-17.5cm,更好为10-15cm。
本发明吸收制品的厚度根据用途而异,但是通常可以为0.25-5mm,宜为1-3mm,更好为1-2mm。
当本发明的吸收制品用作和伤口接触的绷带用的衬垫时,吸收制品的底层朝向有伤口的皮肤,起着伤口隔离层的作用,即所述层不会粘到施加绷带的伤口上。底层由上述的多孔薄膜制成。所述绷带的顶层也由上述多孔薄膜制成。
当用作胶布绷带接触伤口的衬垫时,吸收制品顶层的开孔面积和吸收制品底层的开孔面积可以相同或者不同。为了降低绷带和伤口的接触面积,吸收制品底层的开孔面积可以是多孔薄膜总面积的5-30%,宜为10-25%。减小和伤口接触的面积可以降低将绷带剥离伤口的的作用力,也就降低了伤口再次受损的可能性。吸收制品的顶层可以具有比绷带底层更小的开孔面积。使用具有开孔面积较小的顶层可以防止液体不适宜地从内部吸收芯子中流出。
在胶布绷带的一种实施方案中,本发明的吸收制品通过胶粘剂固定到是任何密度聚乙烯泡沫材料或者复合各种密度的聚乙烯的背衬上。泡沫材料的密度为0.008-0.160g/cm3。泡沫材料可以是穿了孔的。所穿孔的尺寸为0.01-5mm。总的孔面积为总泡沫材料面积的10-80%。这些孔可以通过挤压、机械加工、热棒穿孔或者超声波穿孔。绷带的厚度可以为1-3mm。

现在试看这些附图,它们显示了本发明吸收制品的实施方案。试看图1和图2,吸收制品20包括吸收芯子24、底层28和顶层32。吸收芯子24具有第一主(或上)表面25和第二主(或下)表面26。顶层32例如通过胶粘剂固定在吸收芯子的上表面25上,而底层28例如通过胶粘剂固定在吸收芯子的下表面上。本领域的技术人员应当理解,上表面32和下表面28除了可以用胶粘剂固定在吸收芯子上以外,例如也可以通过热封的方式。当使用胶粘剂时,宜以不连续的方式进行施涂,例如通过喷涂、丝网印刷、凹版印刷等。类似地,热封也宜以不连续的方式进行。
吸收芯子24中可以包含任何所需厚度的单一织物,也可以包含两种或多种这类织物。如图2所示,吸收芯子24包含三种纤维织物24a、24b和24c。
底层28宜是多孔塑料薄膜,如图3所示,它包括许多个凸起,每个凸起在薄膜平面P中有个基面38和远离基面的顶点40。在顶点40有顶端开孔42。在基面38则有基面开孔44。基面开孔44大于顶端开孔42。底层28置于吸收芯子24的下表面26上,使其凸起37的顶点40和吸收芯子的下表面接触,且其凸起37的基面38则与吸收芯子的下表面有距离。
吸收制品20的上表面32宜是和用作底层28的薄膜相同的开孔塑料薄膜。但是,顶层32相对于吸收芯子的取向和底层28的取向不同。具体地说,由图3可见,顶层32置于吸收芯子24的上表面25上,其凸起37的顶点40与吸收芯子的上表面有距离,且其凸起的基面38放置在邻近所述吸收芯子上表面的地方。
顶层32和底层28各自具有实际厚度C1和表观厚度C2。实际厚度C1是在形成凸起37之前材料的厚度。表观厚度C2是在形成凸起37之后材料“使用时”的厚度,是从基面38到凸起37的顶点40所的距离。
现在试看图4,此图是胶布绷带的透视图,它使用本发明的吸收制品作为其接触伤口的衬垫。胶布绷带50包括背衬52,它可以是包含例如聚氯乙烯、聚乙烯、聚氨酯等泡沫材料或薄的塑料膜。背衬52的一个主表面53具有施涂其上的胶粘剂54(在图4中以许多点表示)。胶粘剂54可以是本领域熟知和使用的任何胶粘剂,且可以使用任何熟知的胶粘剂施涂方法将其施涂到表面53上。
胶布绷带50还包括接触伤口的衬垫58,它通过胶粘剂54以已知的方式固定在背衬52上。在以下讨论的实施方案中,接触伤口的衬垫58在宽度上和背衬材料52一致,但是比背衬材料短。如本领域已知的,接触伤口的衬垫58定位在背衬52一端到另一端的中央部位。
接触伤口的衬垫58具有上述图1所示的吸收制品20的三层结构。衬垫58在背衬52涂覆胶粘剂的表面上,应使吸收制品20的顶层32的凸起37和胶粘剂54接触(见图3)。结果,位于平面P(见图3)的底层28表面背向涂覆胶粘剂的表面53,在使用时,和绷带使用者想要保护和/或治疗的伤口接触。
现在试看图5和6,此两个图显示了本发明胶布绷带的另一实施方案。胶布绷带70包括一个背衬72,在其一个主表面73上施涂了胶粘剂74。胶布绷带70还包括一个接触伤口的衬垫78。在这一实施方案中,背衬72是本文以上所述的一片多孔薄膜,即此多孔薄膜具有开孔面积和凸起37。通过衬垫背面的胶粘剂74将接触伤口的衬垫78固定在背衬72上。接触伤口的衬垫78包括织物层80和覆盖层82。接触伤口的衬垫78在背衬72上的取向,应使其织物层82和胶粘剂74接触。结果,覆盖层82与胶粘剂有一定距离,并在最终使用时和伤口W接触,伤口W是使用者想要保护或以其它方式治疗的。
覆盖层82,如同背衬层72一样,是具有开孔面积以及许多凸起37的多孔薄膜。如图6所示,覆盖层82在织物层80上的取向,应使其凸起37面对织物层80与其接触。
以下一些实施例是为了说明本发明吸收制品。这些实施例不应认为限制本发明的范围。
实施例1-吸收衬垫的制造
使Tredegar X-6799多孔薄膜展开,切割成20cm×27cm,见方凸起朝上地放置。将Findley HM 3210胶粘剂施涂到20cm×27cm的PGI FB035C非织造材料(粘合双组分纤维)的整个上表面上。将此非织造材料衬垫以施涂了胶粘剂的面朝下置于上述多孔薄膜的有向上凸的面上。这就是绷带衬垫的原料。将此绷带衬垫的原料切割成2.1cm×1.2cm的绷带衬垫。将第二块Tredegar X-6799多孔薄膜展开,切割成7.6cm×1.9cm的带子。将此带子凸起朝下地放置。将Findley 3210胶粘剂施涂到带子朝上的表面上。如上所述制备的绷带衬垫,以其非织造材料面朝下的方式置于所述带子的中央部位。
用各种多孔薄膜Tredegar X-6845、Tredegar X-6923、Tredegar X-6944和Tredegar X-6844代替Tredegar X-6799来重复上述过程,获得样品。
实施例2-伤口剥离试验
对绷带而言,重要的是接触伤口的绷带层不会粘到伤口上。因此,要使用伤口剥离试验来确定绷带的质量,该质量以不会粘结到伤口上来表示。测试在实施例1中制备的吸收衬垫,并和已知为具有良好伤口剥离性能的商品进行比较。在雌性Yorkshire猪上进行所述试验。在测试前的一天子里,给所述动物服用镇静剂,再用电动剪毛器除去动物背部和肋腹的毛。在此部位涂上脱毛洗液。10分钟之后,用金属刮刀除去洗液。用温和的肥皂清清晰该部位,并抹干。次日,给动物服用镇静剂,并用Brown Dermatome以设定为0.08cm的深度沿与脊柱平行的方向在各两个肋腹部位形成一排十二条2.5cm×2.5cm浅的伤口。用砂布海绵擦拭所述伤口,并以垂直于脊柱的方向施加绷带,拉伸之以免绷带移动或脱落。
在大约24小时之后,給动物再服用镇静剂。使用Chatillon数字测力器Model DFGS2来测量除去绷带的作用力,在装置底部支柱上用一根5cm细绳连接有一个色谱用的夹子。将绷带从动物上除去。具体是割掉绷带的胶粘部分从动物上除去,在伤口上仅留下衬垫。将色谱用的夹子接到绷带的顶边或底边。将测力器归零。再将测力器垂直于伤口表面的平面提长,直到所述细绳拉紧。以稳定均匀的速度将所述测力器返向拉,直到绷带从伤口表面上脱落。记录除去绷带的作用力(平均除去作用力)(克)。结果列于表1中。

上列数据证明本发明的吸收制品可以用作绷带,且和已知具有良好伤口剥离性能的商品比较,其伤口剥离性能有改善。
实施例3-吸收性能能试验
本发明制品的潜在用途部要求制品具有高的液体吸收性能能。因此,在实施例1所制备的吸收衬垫以及市售衬垫上进行吸收性能试验,来测定制品吸收液体的速度,以及当施加压力后(称为再次弄湿)在制品中保留了多少液体。试验用改进的IDANA 150.1-90液体穿透时间试验来进行。结果列于表2中。

上列数据证明,由于本发明的制品比已知具有良好液体吸收性能的商品能吸收更多的液体,所以它们在需要液体吸收性能高的用途中会很有用。
实施例4-水分蒸发速度
虽然吸收制品要求具有高的液体吸收性能,但也应具有大的水分蒸发速度。水分蒸发速度大,可使液体从吸收制品的上表面上较快蒸发进入大气中。因此,在实施例1制备的吸收衬垫和市售衬垫上进行了水分蒸发速度试验,测定水从吸收制品蒸发进入大气的速度。通过测量吸收衬垫中水份的重量损失以及计算损失的速度(在37℃)来进行试验。
将一块置有一条胶布绷带的显微镜载玻片进行称重(W1),使用注射器往衬垫上加入大约100mg的去离子水,并称出其重量(W2)。将所述绷带翻过来,使衬垫面向所述玻璃,并且将所述衬垫区域的两边缘用轻胶带如ScotchTape固定密封之。称出载玻片、绷带、水和胶带的重量(W3)。这就是T0点。将此样品置于37℃的烘箱中,在规定的间隔内重新称出其重量,直到观察其不再改变。时间间隔为0、5、10、20、30、60和90分钟。
计算:W2-W1是加入的水量,作为计算T0分钟用的基数(100%)。在T0分钟的W3和Tx分钟的W3之间的重量差异是该时间后的湿气损失,单位以mg计。将mg损失转化为损失%来表示结果。结果列于表3中。

Claims (23)
1.吸收制品,所述吸收制品包括:

底层;
顶层;
所述底层是具有开孔面积和许多凸起的多孔薄膜,所述底层的凸起面向所述吸收芯子,并和所述吸收芯子接触,
所述顶层和所述吸收芯子接触,是具有开孔面积和许多凸起的多孔薄膜,所述顶层的凸起背向所述吸收芯子;
所述许多凸起是许多凸起的孔。
2.权利要求1所述的吸收制品,其特征在于,所述吸收芯子材料选自人造纤维,棉花、木浆、聚酯、聚酰胺、聚烯烃和它们的共聚物,以及它们的混合物。
3.权利要求1所述的吸收制品,其特征在于,所述吸收芯子材料包含双组分纤维。
4.权利要求1所述的吸收制品,其特征在于,所述吸收芯子材料粘合在一起。
5.权利要求1所述的吸收制品,其特征在于,所述底层的多孔薄膜和顶层的多孔薄膜是选自聚乙烯、茂金属催化聚乙烯、聚丙烯和它们的共聚物、以及乙烯-乙酸乙烯酯共聚物的聚合物材料。
6.权利要求1所述的吸收制品,其特征在于,所述制品为尿布。
7.权利要求1所述的吸收制品,其特征在于,所述制品为卫生衬垫。
8.权利要求1所述的吸收制品,其特征在于,所述制品为绷带。
9.权利要求8所述的吸收制品,其特征在于,所述制品的底层用亲水表面活性剂处理过。
10.权利要求9所述的吸收制品,其特征在于,所述亲水表面活性剂选自山梨糖醇的月桂酸酯、用环氧乙烷缩合的山梨糖醇酐、环氧乙烷/环氧丙烷共聚物、辛基苯酚乙氧基化物、壬基苯酚乙氧基化物和乙氧基化醇。
11.权利要求8所述的吸收制品,其特征在于,所述用于绷带底层的开孔面积为所述多孔薄膜总面积的5-30%。
12.权利要求11所述的吸收制品,其特征在于,所述用于绷带底层的开孔面积为所述多孔薄膜总面积的10-25%。
13.权利要求8所述的吸收制品,其特征在于,所述底层为聚乙烯泡沫材料。
14.权利要求13所述的吸收制品,其特征在于,所述聚乙烯泡沫材料的密度为0.008-0.160g/cm3。
15.权利要求13所述的吸收制品,其特征在于,所述总开孔面积为总泡沫材料面积的10-80%。
16.一种方法,所述方法包括:
提供一个具有凸起的多孔薄膜,凸起朝上;
将胶粘剂施涂到一个吸收芯子材料的上表面上;
将所述吸收芯子材料的上表面置于所述多孔薄膜上,使吸收芯子材料的上表面与所述多孔薄膜的背面接触,多孔薄膜的背面是具有凸起的面的反面;
提供另一个具有凸起的多孔薄膜,凸起朝上;
将胶粘剂施涂到所述另一多孔薄膜的上表面上,该上表面是凸起的上表面;
将吸收芯子材料的底表面置于所述另一多孔薄膜的上表面上;
由此,形成吸收制品。
17.权利要求16所述的方法,其特征在于,所述吸收制品是尿布。
18.权利要求16所述的方法,其特征在于,所述吸收制品是卫生衬垫。
19.权利要求16所述的方法,其特征在于,所述吸收制品是绷带。
20.一种胶布绷带,所述胶布绷带包括:
具有长度、宽度和主表面的背衬材料;
接触伤口的衬垫;
所述接触伤口的衬垫固定在所述背衬材料的主表面上,所述接触伤口的衬垫包括具有第一主表面和第二主表面的吸收芯子材料;
底层;
顶层,
所述底层是具有开孔面积和许多凸起的多孔薄膜,所述底层的凸起面向所述吸收芯子,并和所述吸收芯子接触,
所述顶层和所述吸收芯子接触,它是具有开孔面积和许多凸起的多孔薄膜,所述顶层的凸起背向所述吸收芯子。
21.权利要求20所述的胶布绷带,其特征在于,所述接触伤口的衬垫的宽度基本上和所述背衬材料的宽度相同,所述接触伤口的衬垫的长度小于所述背衬材料的长度。
22.权利要求20所述的胶布绷带,其特征在于,所述接触伤口的衬垫的长度小于所述背衬材料的长度,所述接触伤口的衬垫的宽度小于所述背衬材料的宽度。
23.权利要求20所述的胶布绷带,其特征在于,所述背衬材料具有施涂于其上的胶粘剂,所述接触伤口的衬垫通过所述胶粘剂固定在所述背衬材料上,所述伤口接触衬垫的周边位于所述背衬材料周边的内部,由此,一部分施涂到所述背衬材料上的胶粘剂位于所述接触伤口的衬垫周边的外部。
