Abstract

Se proporciona una planta y un método en el cual una primera alimentación que comprende hidrocarburos se sujeta a un reformado eléctrico con vapor de metano (e-SMR) para generar una primera corriente de gas de síntesis. Una sección de mejoramiento recibe la corriente de gas de síntesis y genera una primera corriente de producto y una corriente de efluente gaseoso a partir de la corriente de gas de síntesis. Un generador de energía recibe por lo menos una porción de la corriente de efluente gaseoso y/o una porción de la primera corriente de producto de la sección de mejoramiento y/o una porción de la primera alimentación y genera un segundo flujo de electricidad. Por lo menos una porción del segundo flujo de electricidad se dispone para proporcionar por lo menos una parte del primer flujo de electricidad al reactor de e- SMR.
