Abstract
Una secuencia de imágenes es codificada en un flujo de bits como una serie de unidades de imagen PU-01~03. Cada unidad de imagen corresponde a una imagen codificada e incluye una o más unidades de capa de abstracción de red (NAL) NAL-01~23. Las unidades NAL pueden ser unidades NAL de capa de codificación de vídeo (VCL), cada una de las cuales contiene datos de imagen codificados o un conjunto de parámetros adaptativos (APS) que contienen cada una un conjunto de parámetros adaptativos (APS) que tienen parámetros para realizar uno o más tipos de operación de procesamiento en los datos de imagen contenidos en una o más unidades NAL VCL. Las unidades NAL APS pueden ser unidades NAL con prefijo APS P-APS o unidades NAL con sufijo APS S-APS. Se aplica una restricción adicional al flujo de bits que prohíbe la inclusión, en una unidad de imagen, de una unidad NAL con prefijo APS después de la primera unidad NAL de la unidad de imagen en cuestión. Esto puede evitar que se aplique más de un APS a secciones pertenecientes a la misma unidad de imagen, y por lo tanto reducir el tamaño de una memoria intermedia de APS. Alternativamente, o además, se permite la inclusión, en la misma unidad de imagen, de una unidad NAL con prefijo APS y una unidad NAL con sufijo APS que tengan el mismo tipo de APS y el mismo identificador de APS pero diferentes contenidos. Esto puede reducir las operaciones de reescritura cuando se realiza la decodificación de acceso aleatorio en un momento específico de la secuencia de vídeo codificada.
