Abstract

Una válvula cardiaca protésica incluye un marco anular expandible que tiene un extremo de entrada, un extremo de salida, un interior, un exterior, un sinnúmero de aberturas y un eje longitudinal; un sinnúmero de elementos de soporte de comisuras fuera del marco; y un sinnúmero de valvas de válvula cuadriláteras, cada una de las cuales tiene un cuerpo principal que tiene un borde de entrada y un borde de salida, y un par de lengüetas de valvas opuestas que se extienden desde lados opuestos del cuerpo principal, cada lengüeta de valvas está emparejada con una lengüeta de valvas adyacente de una valva adyacente, cada par de lengüetas de valvas se extiende a través de una abertura respectiva del marco y se acopla a uno de los soportes de comisura para formar un conjunto de lengüeta de comisura, donde cada conjunto de lengüeta de comisura está ubicado en el exterior del marco y el cuerpo principal de cada valva se encuentra en el interior del marco.
