Abstract
<p>Un sistema para convertir granos de maíz enteros en masa dentro de un periodo breve de tiempo. Un sistema que incluye un aparato para remover el pericarpio y tallo de los granos y residuos que son molidos en una harina de tamaños de partícula adecuados. Esta harina es combinada con cal y agua y mezclada durante 6 minutos - 12 minutos alcanzando una temperatura terminal de aproximadamente 50 grados Celsius y/o donde ocurre la gelatinización, formando una masa. Un aparato adicional que fragmenta entonces la masa en tamaños para su procesamiento adicional.</p>
