EL PROCEDIMIENTO COMPRENDE LAS ETAPAS DE CONECTAR LOS CLIENTES, TALES COMO TELÉFONOS INTELIGENTES U ORDENADORES, EN UNA CONEXIÓN DE BAJO ANCHO DE BANDA CONSTANTE, USANDO EL PROTOCOLO/RED DE BAJO ANCHO DE BANDA DE LOS ENCAMINADORES, Y PARA ACTIVAR EL PROTOCOLO DE ALTO ANCHO DE BANDA DEL ENCAMINADOR, PROPORCIONAR DE ESTA MANERA UNA CONEXIÓN DE ALTO ANCHO DE BANDA A CLIENTES, ÚNICAMENTE CUANDO SE ENVÍA UNA SOLICITUD POR EL CLIENTE, O EL FICHERO A TRANSFERIR TIENE UN TAMAÑO IMPORTANTE PARA SER SOPORTADO POR LA CONEXIÓN DE BAJO ANCHO DE BANDA.
