Método para la extracción relativamente rápida de embriones a partir de granos de espigas de maíz inmaduras, comprende: -Exponer el tejido o estructura interna de los granos de una espiga por medio de cortar o separar una porción de las coronas de los granos en la espiga; -Hacer rotar la espiga con las coronas extraídas alrededor de su eje longitudinal; -Recolectar los embriones expulsados; otros métodos; aparato para extraer embriones de granos de una espiga de maíz; otros aparatos.
