Description

Process for the production of a plant protection product. In its various forms of compound, copper is used extensively for combating plant pests. It has now been shown that the fungicidal effect it has against fungi, for example against downy mildew viticolu D. By. the vine, exercising, experiences a substantial increase when it is in metal or salt form. Zinc or zinc salts is combined.
The present invention is, on the basis of this new experience, a process for the production of a plant protection agent, according to which caper sulfate and zinc sulfate solutions are mixed with one another and the mixed solution is treated with alkaline-reacting substances, which produces a sparingly soluble precipitate . A spray mixture produced with this precipitate contains the active components in finely divided, sparingly soluble form.
Example: Dissolve 75 gr copper sulfate (CiiSO, - 5H, 0) and 75 gr zinc sulfate (ZÜSO, - 711.0) in 5 liters of water. In addition, 125 gr of freshly burnt lime, add 5 liters, stir the mixture to form a uniform milk of lime and pour the copper zinc sulphate solution into this milk of lime while stirring. one. Basic copper zinc salts precipitate in a very finely divided form. - The broth prepared in the above manner is readily ready for use.
Although only 0.75% copper vitriol was used to make the broth, as has been established through experiments, its fungicidal effect is equivalent to a copper lime broth for its production double the amount, that is 1.5 '/ o, copper vitriol was used. By combining them with zinc, sicl-1 can save 50 '/ o copper.
Since zinc and zinc compounds have only weak, in most cases no fungicidal properties at all, the present case is not a matter of summing up the action of two fungicides, but a combination effect that could not be foreseen.
In addition to the increase in effectiveness, the reason for which is not the fine distribution of the active components but the physical interaction between the copper salt and zinc salt, the new process also brings one Discount with see, there. a large part of the expensive copper can be replaced by the cheaper zinc.
The precipitates of basic copper zinc salts obtained can be sucked off and sold in paste form. In order to achieve better dispatchability, they can also be dried and brought into the form of a fine powder that is easily dispersible in water.
