Die Wirkungsweise der beschriebenen Ausführungsbeispiele ist folgende: U m die erzeugten ultravioletten Strahlen, t an zum Beispiel 400 Milliontel Millimeter Länge, zu einem Strahlenbündel zusammen zufassen, sind die Durchbildung und die Anordnung des Reflektors und Strahlen sammlers so :;
Irradiation apparatus for healing purposes: The subject of the present invention is an irradiation apparatus for healing purposes. The same has a housing having at least one opening, serving as a reflector, in the center of which the electric arc is generated, the mentioned opening being closed by a radiation collector which receives the emitting tube, the whole thing for the purpose of emanating from the electric arc To combine rays into a bundle and to be able to direct the body surfaces to be healed and body cavities in the direction of the central axis of the radiating tube.
In the accompanying drawing, two embodiments of the subject invention are shown. It shows: Fig. 1 in partial vertical section a side view of the first embodiment, and Fig. 2 in a side view, the second embodiment example.
In FIG. 1, 1 denotes the stand (partially drawn) to which the apparatus is attached, which is based on the principle of the intensive arc lamp. The lamp housing 9 is formed down to a three-quarter ball and. represents the reflector 4. The coals 3 fastened in the lamp housing 9 are used to generate the arc.
The arrangement is such that the arc is generated in the center of the spherical reflector 4, so that both the rays emanating directly from the arc and the reflected rays combine to form a bundle of rays) 1, in the direction of the light axis of the reflector 4 be thrown back.
The latter is completed by a removable, also designed as a reflector radiation collector 12; the latter has a beam passage opening to which the larger opening of the conically tapered emitting tube 5 connects, the longitudinal axis of which coincides with the light axis of the beam. The joint connection 6 has the Z-greck to facilitate the insertion of the end 8 of the mouthpiece 7 into body cavities.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, the apparatus is intended as an ordinary arc lamp. 11 again means a stand on which the irradiation apparatus is fastened. 9 'represents the lamp housing in which the carbon holders 14 are fastened, which receive the coals 13 standing obliquely one above the other. The latter protrude with their holders into the reflector housing 4 'and are pivotably arranged: Narrow slots (not visible in the drawing) in the partition 15, which separates the reflector housing 4' from the lamp housing 9 ', allow the coal holder 14 to enter the reflector housing 4 '.
This partition 15 also acts as a reflector. The open part of the reflector housing 4 'is completed by the Strahlensamm ler 12', to which the latter the radiation tube 5 'and mouthpiece 7' be fastened.
A strut 10 of the tripod gives the apparatus a good hold in its a set position, and the latter is adjustable in height.
The mode of operation of the exemplary embodiments described is as follows: To combine the ultraviolet rays generated, for example 400 millionths of a millimeter in length, into a beam, the formation and arrangement of the reflector and radiation collector are as follows:;
met that both. directly on the reflector 4 respectively. 'Striking rays a, as well as those on the beam lexis collector 12 respectively. <B> 19 '</B> impinging and from this on the reflector 4 respectively. 4 'reflected rays, h, e,
in the direction of the light axis of the reflector 4 respectively. 4 \ are thrown back and when they pass through the radiation tube 5 respectively. Combine 5 'with the rays cl emanating directly from the arc and lying in this direction to form a bundle of rays.
The apparatus described offers the possibility of fully utilizing the reflector whirling of the reflector and of the radiation collector, that is to say using the entire reflector surface as a reflective surface. Loss of radiation is almost impossible because apart from the carbon and the holders, there are no parts that obstruct the beam path and protrude into the interior of the reflector.
It goes without saying that the device can be attached to the ceiling or a wall instead of a tripod.
Likewise, the shape of the mouth piece 7 could also be chosen differently than as shown in the drawing.
