Fig. 1. 2 und 3 zeigen in Längs- und Querschnitt, sowie in Draufsicht ein Aus führungsbeispiel in doppelter Anwendung bei einem Parallelschraubstock. Jede Backe des selben besitzt einen Satz von Einzelangriffs hacken;
Die Angriffseinzel backen a" (Fig. 1.1 und 15) sind an ihren Berührungsflächen gescheitelt bezw. abge rundet und besitzen zwei Auflagerpunkte. Die Lamellen sämtlicher Backenelemente sind zwischen zwei beweglichen Deckplatten r, eingeschlossen, die von an den äussersten La mellen des Lagersegmentes d:i befestigten, se-mentförmigen 1-Ibschlussplatten r;
Multi-part Baeke for snugly contact with bodies of any shape, with pressure compensation. The subject of the present invention is a multi-part jaw for clinging, with pressure equalization taking place on body of any shape, which has at least one set of juxtaposed, the position mediating single jaws, which are rotatably and in pairs side by side in troughs of a vibrating body symmetrically to a center plane of the same , while pairs of these vibrating bodies are rotatably mounted in troughs of bearing segments, whereby the individual jaws can be brought into such a position to each other for each bearing segment,
that all their center points and the vibrating body (viewed in cross-section) fall in a plane perpendicular to the plane of symmetry of the bearing segment; so that an even distribution of the contact pressure on all contact points of the individual jaws can be achieved even with every change in their position.
A variety of designs of this type of jaw can be used in a wide variety of areas, for example in clamping devices (vices, rotary and clamping chucks), in holding devices (limb and head clamps, foot clamps in surgical and similar instruments) , for support devices and documents (steady rest bearings, supports, chair seats and backrests, operating and hospital chairs), for matrices, automatically adjustable templates, grinding and polishing devices, braking devices, sheet metal straightening machines, bending matrices and stamps. Contact devices for large currents, etc.
In the drawing, some exemplary embodiments of the subject invention are illustrated in various applications.
Fig. 1. 2 and 3 show in longitudinal and cross section, as well as in plan view from an exemplary embodiment in double use with a parallel vice. Each jaw of the same has a set of single attack picks;
which are formed by parallel long pieces in the form of cylinder segments a, which are rotatable or swingable on their lateral surface around their cylinder axes - and in pairs next to each other in two troughs each of a larger, similar cylinder segment b parallel to the axis and symmetrical to Center line of the same are stored.
The cylinder segments b, which are the aforementioned Schwing- Z, 21 are mounted in pairs in the same way in a common cylinder segment or bearing segment c swingable, this with a second, in a common segment d, which the latter is with: its outer surface against the The trough of a back of the jaw e supports the stationary or. is movable.
The individual parts of the jaws can be brought into such a position to one another (Fig. 3, left) that the axes of all Licher segments a, those of all segments b and those of all segments c in a plane that is perpendicular to the axis symmetry plane of the Bearing segment d, lie.
The profile of the single jaws a, the number of which increases or decreases in the set. can be, is designed concave on its system side in the manner shown in the drawing; but it could also be straight forward. The attack parts of the individual jaws a can also be formed by cutting, rolling, rolling or balls.
The individual jaws can be secured in various ways against being lifted out of their troughs, as will be explained in the explanations to be given later. They can also be made of steel and magnetized. so that they adhere to one another enough to be taken along when the screw jaws are opened.
In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the jaw sets are secured against being lifted off the center of the vice by a cover plate f screwed onto each jaw back e; however, the cylinder segments on the cylindrical part of their circumference could also be provided with concentric, protruding guide ribs for the same purposes, and through these, engage in IN, TU th of the troughs.
After introducing an arbitrarily profiled body between the opened vise jaws, when the same is closed, the individual segment jaws, partly rotating around their own axes, partly with their axes pivoting around the axis of the bearing segment that closes them, in a profile shape equilibrium of the body to be tensed, until they find the same resistance at all points on the tensed llantal surface.
4 shows a very irregular body A. with the individual jaws set against its straight and curved lateral surface parts.
The even distribution of the contact pressure on as large a part of the surface area as possible and on as many points of contact as possible protects a tense body from local overloads and damage to its surface, as well as from deformations of its profile even with greater spindle pressure; On the other hand, this even pressure distribution allows the body to be precisely set in a desired position, even with a lower spindle pressure.
The individual brackets themselves are able to lie exactly against the shell surface, so that they are suitable both for clamping and for supporting bodies with any profile.
In order to bring them back into the normal, stretched position after removing the body, they can be moved by springs or magnets.
Fig. 5 shows in section another imple mentation form of the jaw bearing. The individual beams a1 are in the vibrating bodies b1, these in the bearing segments c. etc. held securely by the fact that the cylindrical circumference of the relevant bearing recess encompasses more than half of the circumference of the relevant cylinder segment, so that the eggs 1, 3, 3 serve as holding parts.
In order to clearly express these encompassing edges in the drawing, FIG. 5 is drawn somewhat distorted in terms of the relative position of the jaws axes. Individual segment profiles c2, d3 show a different shape, insofar as the cylindrical jacket surface at 5, 6 is offset to a smaller radius of curvature. Depending on whether such a jaw has to be used for receiving equally offset or smooth Segmen th; the associated storage troughs receive a stepped cross-section or a cylindrical shape.
The he stere version is intended in particular for large sets of jaws in which the construction height is limited and a reduction in the jaw weight, as well as easier mobility of the individual jaws he wants. The bearing pressure is mainly transmitted to the center of the trough by the reduced cylinder surface area, while the side walls of the bearing trough only serve for guidance. Since such jaws oppose their rotation with a smaller frictional torque, they are also easier to move.
In Fig. 6, a lathe bezel bearing for heavy rotating pieces B .ge shown as a further embodiment, the individual attack jaws are gebil det by rollers a4, which are held by segment-shaped oscillating bodies b, which rest in bearing segments c.
The latter are stored in a jaw segment d2 with a stepped jacket surface, and this is supported against a trough-shaped base e3, which is housed in a guide housing g and by means of a left-hand and right-hand screw spindle i and several lifting wedges h is vertically adjustable.
7 shows a lathe chuck with, for example, two clamping claws j, wel = before each receiving a set of jaws for holding an eccentric disk C and, in the faceplate provided with grooves k ge, can be moved by "a clamping screw located in the central slot of the same.
FIGS. 8 and 9 show the use of such multi-part jaws in a sheet metal clamping or straightening machine, the individual attack jaws of which are designed as straightening rollers a4 and can have very small diameters so that they can be moved as close as possible to one another a, in this case with the elements b ,, c, d and - b ,, c, d2 form the multi-part jaw that is built into the stand m.
The trough jaw e3, which lies on the upper pressure jaw d2 and is guided in the stand, is adjusted by an adjusting device n, o, p.
10 illustrates a further exemplary embodiment from being used in an armchair with a pliable seat, which is formed by rods a, which are designed as individual jaws and are connected to the jaw elements b; c, d, e form the clinging multi-part jaw, and this jaw is mounted on both sides in a pocket-like arch guide q. Balls or rollers can be inserted between the larger links d, e of the jaw and between the elemen e and the guide q.
In a similar way, the invention can also be applied to an armchair, whereby this can optionally also be combined with the cradle seat in a common guide segment, for example for stretchers or recliners, in such a way that the backrest extends up to approximately can bring horizontal position. Such seats that hug the body make it unnecessary to attach upholstery, as the body is supported at numerous points.
In the embodiments described so far, there is a perfect fit of the set of jaws only in one direction of the contact surface, namely according to the transverse profile of the body. The generating line of the contact surface can be a straight line, a curved line or a combination of both lines. However, it can also be desirable to obtain a perfect fit not only to the transverse profile, but also to the longitudinal profile of the body by distributing the pressure over a larger number of points, as is the case, for example, when limbs are clamped or supported may be desirable.
For this purpose, the elements of the jaw can be broken down into a number of lamellas transversely to their axes of rotation, so that the jaw can also conform to the longitudinal profile of the body, with this jaw then moving. can rest on a supporting jaw of a similar kind, which shows its flexibility in the direction of the generatrix of the body.
Two exemplary embodiments of this type are illustrated in FIGS. 11 to 13, one of which is shown by FIG. 11 in longitudinal section and side view and by the left half of FIG. 12 in end view, partly in vertical cross section; Fig. 13 shows in longitudinal section and partial side view and the right half of Fig. 12 in end view, partially in section, the other embodiment.
The lamellas of the individual engaging jaws a, which are lined up in a row, nestle against the body F, which are in the sebgrnent-shaped oscillating bodies bzi, these in the bearing segments c ". are rotatably mounted, all these parts advantageously run in V-shaped guide rails.
The individual attack jaws a "(Fig. 1.1 and 15) are parted or rounded at their contact surfaces and have two support points. The lamellae of all jaw elements are enclosed between two movable cover plates r, which are attached to the outermost lamellae of the bearing segment d: i attached, segment-shaped 1-end plates r;
partly covered and guided in the arcuate recesses of the same. The lamellas of the bearing segment e3 have vertical flanks and at right angles to them, steps that are placed on the individual attack bars a. each one below, from the elements a. b, c support the existing set of jaws, the oscillation plane of which is at right angles to that of the shafts of the upper brook.
The trough pieces e, which serve as bearings for the lower jaw sets, are fastened in a housing t.
The lateral pressure occurring transversely to the plane of the bending of the jaw lamellas is absorbed partly by the guideways of the same, partly by the Decli: plates r: L, rss and transferred to the housing t.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 13 and 12 (right half) there are several sets of jaws of greater thickness, the individual attack jaws of which are spherical caps a .., which are claw-like on their support surface at three points (FIGS. 18 and 19) and four are mounted in an oscillating dome b8.
Two calottes b "are in a swinging cylinder segment c;, and pairs of the latter are stored in a cylinder segment d each, while this fin det its bearing in a trough guide jaw c. To accommodate side pressures the segment-shaped cover plates r.
The oval bottom guide jaws e are supported with the flat bottom surfaces of their shoulders against a set of jaws, which are positioned at right angles to them, and which are made of cylindrical bacls a., And cylinder segments b1 and c. exists and together with the trough piece e # - is stored in the housing t.
14 to \? 0 are some examples of means for securing against the lifting of flat or spherical attack single jaws from their tracks.
In Fig. 14 and 15, such a safety is achieved in that the individual jaws a, are encompassed by their storage by more than a semicircle, the profiling prevents lateral displacement. while with the single jaws b ;, c, the profiling of their tracks at the same time provides security against lifting and lateral displacement.
In Fig. 16 and 17 the backup is carried out by case of layers U, z ', av. Which are inserted between the lamellae of the individual brooks and remain in connection with the latter through pin and slot guides. According to FIGS. 18, 19 and 20, the attack claws 12 provided with attack single jaws a $ are held by grasping around the oscillating spherical cap b8 which they serve as a bearing.
The latter can, under certain circumstances, be secured against rotation in the wag right direction in the segments cfl, for wel chem purposes in the segments co, a dovetail groove 9 is provided concentrically to its curved surface and a groove 10 each in the domes b ″.
The groove 9 forms a guide for the slider 11, which is provided with two crossing guide tracks so that on the one hand a rela tive rotation of the domes b3 against the bearing body e9 only in the right-angled direction given by the slider 11 he can follow, and on the other hand, the dovetail profile of the guides provides a safeguard against lifting of the domes b ″ from their path.
