AC motor with draft ventilation. The invention relates to alternating current motors of the pull-through type of low end medium speed, which are equipped with special bearings arranged outside of their casing. According to the invention, the motor has an air nozzle on the drive side for the entry of all of the fresh air, while the exhaust air exits at one or more points of the otherwise closed housing. The slip rings of the motor sit between the bearing and the rotor star on the shaft and are freely accessible to the outside, as the casing wall on the slip ring side is drawn in towards the rotor hub.
The new engine is in an exemplary embodiment on the drawing Darge provides, in its upper half in section. On the side of the drive, which is indicated by the stub shaft a, the fresh air from a channel or a pipe line of the floor enters the cast on the lower part of the bearing b nozzle c, which in turn with the cladding plate d of the drive-side winding heads e a piece forms. The bearing f on the side of the slip rings g is supported on three arms h which are cast onto the protective shield i of the winding heads k on the slip ring side.
The slip rings g are fixed between the bearing f and the rotor star n on the motor shaft o, outside the casing, which here consists partly of the rotating disk partly of the boiler-like retracted, the continuation of the protective shield i form the shell part q . In order to close the opening between the motor shaft o and the upper half of the protective shield d on the drive side, the casing d is closed off by a further, somewhat drawn-in piece r that extends as far as the shaft o. The terminals for the rotor cables are located under the hood m. The stator housing s surrounds the active part of the motor as a ring-shaped collecting channel for the heated air that exits from the openings t on the housing circumference.
The openings t can also be reduced to one, and a pipe or duct can be connected to these for conveying the exhaust air; in this way the "half-pull type" would be converted into a perfect "pull-through type". The air distribution inside the engine is indicated by arrows. It is determined by the appropriate design of the relevant components and, if necessary, by special ventilation blades v, which are attached here for example to the pressure plates u for the rotor plates and are used to blow the cooling air onto the stator winding heads e and k.
