Fig. 3 zeigt ein weiteres Ausführungs beispiel.

Process and device for preventing corrosion. When evaporating liquids in an evaporator, the vapors developed on the liquid can bezw. Gases contain chemically acidic constituents that cause corrosion in the pipes, condensers, pumps, etc., which are connected to the evaporator, especially iron, which lead to rapid wear of these parts.
It is known to build these parts from materials which are as resistant as possible to acid. The chemical neutralization of the liquid to be evaporated is also known. With the increasing use of the vapor compression, in which the vapor is converted back into heating steam by compression, this question gains new importance, as the compressors there have to be protected against attack by acid, because one has to rely on the Should limit use of iron and steel.
Since it is not possible to render all liquids harmless by neutralizing them, because this is not permissible due to the chemical nature of the liquid, and because acidic vapors and / or acid vapors are even obtained from liquids made neutral or basic. If gases can escape, the protective agents previously used are not sufficient.
The purpose of the invention is, respectively, vapors. Gases that contain acidic components can be rendered harmless. that, after they have emerged from the liquid, they are made at least chemically neutral by suitable mixing with a base.
In the accompanying drawings, embodiments of the subject invention are shown schematically in example.
Fig. 1 shows an embodiment with a vaporizer. The Verdarnpfapparat 1 has a dome 2 at the top, which is arranged in such a height above the liquid level that it can be assumed that only vapors without liquid parts go there.
A special separating device for vapor and liquid could also be installed above the liquid level, because it is important to only neutralize the vapor, to save on base and not to change the liquid. In the dome 2 is through the Lei device 3 and the head 4, which has at least one opening, blown ammonia gas.
In order to mix this gas well with the vapors, fixed metal sheets 5 are attached in the dome, which change the direction of the vapors flowing through and thus cause a mixture. The vapors made at least neutral by the addition of ammonia gas go through line 6 to the condenser or other apparatus, for example other evaporators. Any other gas with a basic effect can be used instead of ammonia gas.
It is advantageous if this gas can be absorbed in water. Instead of the fixed metal sheets 5, a rotating mixing device could also be used.
2 shows an exemplary embodiment with 3 evaporators, 7 to 9, which have a common exhaust steam line 10, in which, in piece 11, sodium hydroxide solution is injected through the nozzle 12 by the pump 13, which takes the alkali from a storage container 14.
Behind the nozzle 12, 3Iis @@ livorr # gauges 15 are installed, which at the same time excrete the lye that has absorbed the acidic parts of the steam. This liquor is returned to the storage container 14 through the line 16 and can be circulated until its alkalinity is completely used up. The neutralized vapors pass on through line 17. Instead of sodium hydroxide solution, any other suitable, alkaline solution can be used. The mixing device 15 can also be built as a moving, preferably rotating device.
Fig. 3 shows another embodiment example. There are solutions which give alkaline vapors at certain specific concentrations and acidic vapors at other concentrations. The evaporation is now regulated in such a way that a concentration prevails in apparatus 20 at which alkaline vapors are developed, while in apparatus 19 there are fairly neutral stages and in apparatus 18
