<tb> à <SEP> titre <SEP> d'exemple.
l'instrument étant armé; la<B>fi-.</B> ? en est une coupe représentant l'instrument étant prêt < e être utilisé; la fig. 3 est une coupe suivant la ligne A-L de fig. 2; la fig. 4 est unie vue en bout suivant la flèche X de fig. 1;

Instrument for bleeding cattle.

The <SEP> object (the <SEP> the <SEP> present <SEP> invention <SEP> is <SEP> a
<tb> instrument <SEP> for <SEP> bleed <SEP> the <SEP> cattle.
<tb> The <SEP> drawing <SEP> attached <SEP> represents <SEP> a <SEP> form
<tb> of <SEP> execution <SEP> <SEP> object of <SEP> invention. <SEP> given
<tb> to <SEP> title <SEP> of example. The <B> fi-. </B> 1 is a longitudinal section.
the instrument being cocked; the <B> fi-. </B>? is a section showing the instrument being ready for use; fig. 3 is a section taken along line A-L of FIG. 2; fig. 4 is united end view along the arrow X of FIG. 1;
fig. 5 is a cross section taken along line C --- D of FIG. 2, and fig. 6 is a perspective view of a safety disc.
The instrument shown comprises a blade 1, in the form of a lancet, adapted to a handle in the form of a rod; whose. the anterior part 2 is of square section and the posterior part 3, separated from the anterior part by -, n shoulder 4, is round and terminated by a threaded part 5 with an adjusting nut 6 for the tension of a coil spring 7, placed on part 3 of the handle.
The blade and its handle are housed in (nor sheath; the anterior part 8.of elliptical section, normally houses the lan- guage 1.and part 2 of the handle and the posterior part 9, of circular section, houses the part. 3 of the handle. 1: a nut 10, against which the spring 7 abuts, is screwed to the rear end of the handle 9. A cap 11 is screwed onto the nut 10 and hides the adjustment nut. 6. Its length is designed to house the threaded part 5 when the instrument is cocked.
The front part 8 of the sleeve has a wall 1 ?, having a notch 13 (fig. 4) leaving free passage to the Jan- this 1. In its interior, the sleeve is provided with a guide partition 14, in the hole 1: 5 through which passes part 2, with a square section of the handle. It is used to guide the handle during its movements and to give it a certain stability in the sheath.
In the compartment of the sleeve, behind the partition 14, is placed a spring 16 (Fig. 5) fixed to the sleeve and provided with a button 17 for its operation. This spring forms a stopper for the lancet of the instrument in the armed state, in the sense that it engages in a notch 18, made in part 2 of the handle and must be released by pressure
