Machine for cutting wooden planks into slats.
The subject of the present invention is a machine for cutting wooden planks into slats by means of circular milling cutters sitting on parallel shafts, which protrude evenly over a work table and are offset in relation to the longitudinal and transverse direction of this table in such a way that the end of the plank to be sawed to be slats is attacked step by step one after the other by the different milling machines, while stops are attached behind each milling machine and at a longitudinal edge of the work table, which serve to guide the slats produced.
These stops as well as the milling cutters can be arranged to be adjustable in the transverse direction of the work table in order to be able to vary the width of the slats produced.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing.
Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section of the machine and Fig. 2 is a top view of the same, while Fig. 3 is a partial cross section of the machine.
A drive shaft C is mounted on the lower part of the machine frame B carrying the work table A, which on the one hand receives its movement by means of a drive belt D, for example from an electric motor, and on the other hand receives the shafts E, E9, E2 by means of belts F, Fl, F2 drives in such a way that all shafts E, Eí, E2 each carrying a circular milling cutter are driven with the same rotational speed. The circular milling cutters H are all the same size and protrude from the work table A by the same amount.
Each of the circular milling H is between two on a screw thread of the related shaft E, El, respectively. E screwed-on nuts M: clamped and where it protrudes above the work table, it passes through the slot a of a metal insert I sunk into a cutout b of the work table.
Parallel to each milling machine H is an angular stop K in the transverse direction of the table; 1 adjustably fastened, namely by screws d, which pass through seat braid e of the horizontal bar of the stop K and by tightening the latter can be fixed on the table in such a way that it uses the slats separated by the corresponding mills g as a separation and guide piece is used.
When the machine is in operation, the end of the board to be sawed to be lathed is first pressed against the milling cutter H sitting on the shaft ex and a lath is cut off from it, while the adjacent longitudinal edge of the board is held against the corresponding stop It and so the cut lath is guided against this stop and the stop g K located behind the milling machine H sitting on B. When moving the board in the direction of the arrow x, the board is attacked one after the other by the two other milling cutters H and cut into slats, which are guided by the stops Is.
After loosening the screws s, which are used to fasten the insert pieces I on the table A, the insert pieces I can be adjusted by adjusting the milling on their shafts by means of the nuts m. Cutouts b are provided, can be adjusted in the transverse direction of the table at the same time as the milling cutter H, and according to this setting of the milling cutters, the stops A *, after loosening the screws d, can also be adjusted in the transverse direction of the table so that it it is possible to cut slats of various sizes on the machine.
