Wasserstandsanzeiger.
Water level indicator. The water level indicators that are in use, despite all the accuracy of their display, are afflicted with a great drawback in that the glass tube is almost never able to withstand the effects of the pressure forces in the long term. The glass shatters, and in spite of all existing protective devices against the boiling water and steam particles thrown in all directions, such as glass splinters, dangerous injuries often occur to the person who is entrusted with the boiler operation.
With the subject matter of the present invention a device is created. which eliminates the drawback mentioned by the fact that a glass tube is not used at all, while at the same time the whole construction of the indicator on a new one. Principle is based. According to the invention, a magnet seated in a housing on a rotatably mounted axle, which is rotated by a float connected to the same axle when the position of the water level in the boiler changes, transmits the rotary movement given to it to a second magnet through an intermediate soft iron disc through,
a pointer sitting on an axis of the last-mentioned magnet follows the movements of the magnets and indicates any change in the position of the water level on a scale.
In the accompanying drawing, the subject matter of the invention is illustrated in an exemplary embodiment, namely: Fib. i is a section of the water level indicator attached to a kes sel, FIG. 2 is a plan view of a magnet, FIG. 3 is a front view of a. Magnet with float with cut housing, Fig. II two views of a support, Fig. 5 the soft iron disc, and Fig. 6 the pointer with scale.
The housing has a part a, which is attached to the boiler wall c, and a part h, which is screwed to the former. Two curved pipe sockets d and e with a fairly large clear width lead into <las housing from the outside in order to prevent them from becoming soiled; the nozzle d

The operation is. the following: In the housing a of the apparatus it is kept flowing through the nozzle d. Water at the same level as the tZ @ sser level of the boiler, since, yes, the steam pressure in the boiler and housing is the same.
The one on the stick i. seated floating body 1 consists. Made of very light material, in order to switch off any disturbing inertia, so that the swimmer can follow the slightest changes in the water level immediately. Will the Scliwii? Im- body l:
For example, if the water pressure is raised, it becomes the axis f, with the communication of the rod i. . which the rod is firmly connected (the rod could also sit on the magnet h and rotate a corresponding amount. This rotation follows. Naturally the magnet h.
The lines of force of the N-pole of the latter now go through the iron disk 1 to the S-pole of the second magnet or to return over the N-pole of the same to the S-pole of the former. There is thus a cycle, and since the lines of force try to shorten their path, the two have endeavored to attract each other.
The second magnet. o will therefore follow each Drehbewe supply of the former magnet h due to the circuit of the lines of force and rotate accordingly. The pointer p iF7, sitting on the outer end of the axis m, will also follow this movement and indicate on the scale q what changes in the water level in the kettle are undergoing.
The dimensions of the apparatus: can be selected so large that any t "erinstrigun.g@cn sirh that may occur can be deposited in the water level indicator and not cause any faults.
