The present invention relates to a sliding pad for a conveyor belt, which is plate-shaped and has a conveyor belt running direction.
Conveyor belts are used today for very different purposes. Thus, conveyor belts are e.g. also used in production lines in automotive plants where factory employees are moved along on a conveyor belt parallel to a car to be manufactured in order to make undisturbed necessary handles that are needed in the assembly to be assembled parts on the car to be manufactured. Such conveyor belts, which transport factory employees in production lines, are also referred to as worker's belts. They usually run on flat sliding pads, which support the conveyor belts over their entire width.
The factory employees move in their activities on the conveyor belt and practice here, especially in a support on the car to be manufactured during assembly activities on the conveyor belt and transverse forces, which conventional tape guides are not able to catch. Therefore, additional lateral sliding strips for lateral support of the conveyor belt were often mounted in such conveyor belts, which are able to guide the conveyor belt while destroying the band edges in the long run. The same applies to conveyor belts of any kind, where e.g. forces are applied transversely to the direction of travel of the conveyor belt by pushing on or pushing off cargo.
The present invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide a sliding pad that allows a tape guide without the band edges are destroyed, and which is able to stabilize the conveyor belt with respect to forces acting transversely to the conveyor belt running direction.
This object is achieved by the inventive sliding pad, as defined in independent claim 1. The independent claim 8 relates to an inventive conveyor with such a sliding pad. Advantageous embodiments will become apparent from the dependent claims.
The essence of the invention is that a sliding pad for a conveyor belt, which is plate-shaped and has a conveyor belt running direction, has grooves which extend in the conveyor belt running direction.
The inventive sliding pad is placed under the conveyor belt and the conveyor belt slides on her. The grooves, which has the sliding pad and run in the transport direction, stabilize the conveyor belt with respect to forces acting transversely to the conveyor belt running direction. The stronger the conveyor belt in the vertical direction, e.g. is loaded by the weight of a factory employee or other goods to be transported, the more the conveyor belt is mechanically pressed into the grooves of the sliding pad and the more able to absorb the sliding pad with the grooves in the conveyor belt running forces transverse to the conveyor belt running direction. Destruction of the edges of the conveyor belt on lateral wear strips can be avoided.
By providing the sliding pad with grooves, the object underlying the invention is achieved in a simple and economical way.
In addition, the sliding pad according to the invention due to the grooves in the conveyor belt running direction compared to a sliding pad without grooves a smaller Haftreibwert, whereby when starting the conveyor belt at the same conveying distance a lower drive power is needed.
Preferably, the grooves extend over the entire length of the sliding pad. Advantageously, the grooves are uniform and arranged over the entire width of the sliding pad. The arranged over the slide pad conveyor belt is thus stabilized over the entire surface of the sliding pad with respect to forces acting transversely to the conveyor belt running direction. However, at least the grooves are advantageously arranged in the subregions of the conveyor belt in which, as is known, transport goods are pushed onto or pushed off the conveyor belt.
In an advantageous embodiment, elevations lying between the grooves have a cross-section which has the shape of a parabola, a truncated parabola or a trapezoid. Preferably, the grooves have a cross section which is substantially V-shaped, trapezoidal or sinusoidal. Such elevations and grooves can be produced in a simple and economical way and stabilize the conveyor belt optimally with respect to forces acting transversely to the conveyor belt running direction.
In a preferred embodiment, the number of grooves across the width of the sliding pad in the range of 100 to 1000 grooves per meter, preferably in the range of 300 to 700 grooves per meter, more preferably in the range of 333 to 666 grooves per meter. Advantageously, the grooves have a groove depth which is in the range of 1 to 5 mm, preferably in the range of 1.5 to 3 mm. Such grooves and groove densities have an optimal stabilizing effect transversely to the conveyor belt running direction.
Advantageously, the sliding pad according to the invention of solid material, preferably steel, stainless steel, plastic or wood. Such a sliding pad not only stabilizes the conveyor belt with respect to forces which act transversely to the conveyor belt running direction, but also optimally supports it.
Another aspect of the invention relates to a conveyor with an inventive, above-described sliding pad. With the aid of such a sliding pad, a conveyor can be produced in which a running on the sliding pad conveyor belt with respect to forces acting transversely to the conveyor belt running direction, is better stabilized than in a conventional conveyor with a sliding pad without grooves.
In an advantageous embodiment, the conveyor belt on its running side in the conveyor belt running direction ribs. The presence of such ribs in the conveyor belt contributes in addition to the stabilization of the conveyor belt with respect to forces acting transversely to the conveyor belt running direction at. Through the grooves in the sliding pad and the ribs in the conveyor belt, the conveyor belt is also guided in the conveyor belt running direction.
Advantageously, the ribs on the conveyor belt are formed so that each rib engages in a groove of the sliding pad. The interaction of the ribs in the conveyor belt with the grooves in the sliding pad provides additional stabilization and guidance of the conveyor belt.
Inventive sliding pads and conveyors equipped therewith are used, for example, in worker bands, i. Transport belts for transporting factory employees on production lines, used. Other applications relate to other conveyors in which transverse forces affect the travel of the conveyor belt, e.g. when loading or unloading parcels, luggage, etc ...
In the following, the sliding pad according to the invention and the conveyor according to the invention will be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings with reference to embodiments. Show it:

In the first embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, an inventive sliding pad 1 is plate-shaped for a conveyor belt. The sliding pad 1 has V-shaped grooves 10 which extend in the conveyor belt running direction. The grooves 10 are formed by intermediate spaces, which are located between elevations 11, which have a cross section in the form of a trapezoid. The sliding pad 1 preferably has a thickness D in the range of 2 to 10 mm. The grooves 10 have a groove depth d, which is preferably in the range of 1.5 to 3 mm, and are arranged at a distance a in the range of preferably 1.5 to 3 mm, which is a preferred number of 333 to 666 grooves per meter Width of the sliding pad 1 corresponds. The elevations 11 preferably have a width b in the range of 0.75 to 1.5 mm.
In the illustrated in Fig. 3 second embodiment of an inventive sliding pad 2, the grooves 20 are formed in conveyor belt running direction by gaps between elevations 21 with a cross section in the form of a truncated parabola. Otherwise, what has been said for the first exemplary embodiment applies correspondingly, in particular with regard to the preferred mass and groove density.
In the illustrated in Fig. 4 the third embodiment of an inventive sliding pad 3, the grooves 30 are formed in conveyor belt running direction by gaps between elevations 31 with a cross section in the form of a parabola. Otherwise, where applicable, what has been said for the first exemplary embodiment applies, in particular with regard to the preferred mass and groove density.
Fig. 5 shows the slide pad 1 of Fig. 1 with a transport belt 4 arranged thereon. The conveyor belt 4 rests on the elevations 11 of the slide pad 1 and is in the conveyor belt running direction, i. in the direction of the grooves 10, moves.
In Fig. 6, the sliding pad 1 is shown with the conveyor belt in the direction above conveyor belt 4 of Fig. 5und arranged on the conveyor belt 4 item 5. The article 5 presses the conveyor belt 4 by its weight mechanically into the grooves 10 of the sliding pad 1. The greater the force 7, which is exerted by the weight of the article 5 on the conveyor belt 4, the deeper the conveyor belt 4 is pressed into the grooves 10 of the sliding pad 1 and the greater forces in the direction of the arrow 6 transversely to the conveyor belt running direction, the sliding pad 1, ie the stronger is the slide pad 1 against a displacement of the conveyor belt 4 in the lateral direction transverse to the conveyor belt running direction.
Fig. 7 shows the sliding pad 1 of Fig. 1 with a conveyor belt 8 passing over it, which on its underside, i. on its running side, ribs 80 which extend in the conveyor belt running direction. In each case a rib 80 engages in a groove 10 of the sliding pad, which ensures optimum stabilization and guidance of the conveyor belt. This is particularly the case when, as in the illustrated embodiment, the fin pitches correspond to the groove pitches and the width of the ribs 80 is only slightly smaller than the width of the grooves 10.
To the above sliding pads and conveyors further structural variations can be realized. Expressly mentioned here is that also sliding pads are conceivable in which the grooves do not extend over the entire length or their grooves are interrupted in sections in the longitudinal direction.
