The invention relates to an irradiation device referred to in the preamble of claim 1 Art.
With such irradiation devices, e.g. Patients with skin diseases, e.g. irradiated with psoriasis, irradiation with UV light or even light with other wavelengths depending on the type of therapy. For these treatments, administration of the correct dose, e.g. UV light energy, vitally important. The administered dose depends on the duration of irradiation and the incident light energy, the latter in turn depending on the distance of the light source from the irradiation surface. Since the light intensity decreases quadratically with the distance of the light source from the irradiation surface, the most accurate possible adjustment of the distance of the light source from the irradiation surface is necessary for the administration of an exact dose.
The compliance with a predetermined distance in a whole-body irradiation of the human body is difficult to comply with because of its curved shape.
This is simpler in the case of partial body irradiation, in which the irradiation is restricted to a smaller area, which can be regarded as a first approximation as a plane. In this case, the distance measurement may be e.g. be performed with a tape measure or the like distance gauge.
Irradiation equipment, in the irradiation head such a distance gauge is integrated, are known. In these, the irradiation dose is usually not varied by changing the distance of the light source from the irradiation surface, but by the irradiation time. Consequently, first the irradiation head with the light source has to be brought into a certain position. However, the distance measurement with mechanical gauges is cumbersome and time consuming.
Thus, the present invention seeks to provide an irradiation device with a non-contact device for distance measurement.
In various fields of technology already working with distance measuring sensors measuring devices are known which operate on the transit time principle. Such as. explained in DE 19 804 958 A1, such devices require relatively expensive electronics because of the high speed of light, especially at short distances.
In radiation equipment, in which set only a predetermined distance and a distance measurement is not required, such devices are unnecessarily complex.
In a substantially simple way, this object is achieved in the irradiation device mentioned in the preamble with the means indicated in the characterizing part of claim 1.
According to this proposal, a distance measuring device is provided which has at least two bilaterally and symmetrically to the light source provided emitters, which each generate a tightly focused light beam. These radiators are arranged on the irradiation head such that their rays intersect on the irradiation surface at a point when the irradiation head is at a predetermined distance from the irradiation surface.
The user thus needs to adjust the necessary distance only the irradiation head as long as to intersect the rays on the irradiation surface at a point.
To produce the tightly bundled light rays are, as proposed in claim 2, particularly good laser modules.
In general, these laser modules can be mounted at a fixed angle on the irradiation head, since the irradiation dose is determined by changing the irradiation time.
In principle, however, it is also possible to influence the angular position of the radiator and thus the distance to be set of the light source of the irradiation surface to influence the irradiation dose. However, it is advisable to synchronously change the angular positions of the radiators, so that the position of the intersection with respect to the light source does not change.
Thus, it is a further advantage that with the inventive distance measuring device, the irradiation source can be optimally positioned. By means of the same device can also be the radiation meter, with which the existing radiation intensity is determined, or the skin tester to determine the skin sensitivity are positioned.
A further improvement of the operating comfort is achieved according to the proposal according to claim 4, characterized in that the emitters, in the embodiment, the laser modules, turned on in the process of irradiation head and automatically switched off again after a predetermined follow-up time.
The object of the invention is explained below with reference to an embodiment schematically illustrated in the drawings in detail. In the drawings show:
<Tb> FIG. 1 <sep> partially sectioned side view of an irradiation head above an irradiation area with marked beams of the laser modules in a first position,
<Tb> FIG. 1a <sep> partial supervision of the irradiation surface 20 in FIG. 1,
<Tb> FIG. 2 <sep> Arrangement according to FIG. 1 in a second position,
<Tb> FIG. 2a <sep> plan view of the irradiation surface according to FIG. 2,
<Tb> FIG. 3 <sep> Arrangement according to FIG. 1 in a third position and
<Tb> FIG. 3a <sep> Plan view of the irradiation surface according to FIG. 3.
Of the inventively designed irradiation device, which serves the light therapy of patients with skin diseases, in Figs. 1 to 3, only the irradiation head 10 is shown. Within the downwardly open housing 15 are arranged as light sources fluorescent lamps 11, which emit in the direction of the irradiation surface 21 of the irradiation object 20 UV light. On both sides of the fluorescent lamps 11 are arranged symmetrically to each other and to the fluorescent lamps 11 laser modules 12 and 12, which in the direction of the irradiation object 20, namely in the direction of a patient, 13 rays.
In the arrangement according to FIG. 1, in which the irradiation head 10 occupies a distance al to the irradiation surface 21, the beams 13 emitted by the laser modules 12 and 12 intersect above the surface 21 of the object to be irradiated 20. The result, as in FIG 1a indicates that two light spots 22 and 22 are imaged on the irradiation surface 21 at a distance from each other. For the operator of the irradiation device, this is an indication that the irradiation head 10 is not yet at the predetermined distance from the irradiation surface 21. For correct positioning, the irradiation head 10 is to be moved downwards in the direction of the arrow b to the position according to FIG. 2. In this position, the irradiation head 10 has the predetermined distance for a correct dosage a2.
The beams 13 emitted by the laser modules 12 and 12 intersect in a point 22 located on the irradiation surface 21, so that only one light spot is imaged thereon.
If the irradiation head 10 further down in the direction of the arrow b, occupying the distance a3 of the irradiation surface 21, the light spot 22 and 22 generated by the rays 13 on the irradiation surface 21 move apart again, as with Figs. 3und 3a is illustrated.
Basically, the angular position of the laser modules 12 'and 12' 'does not need to be changed, if only the irradiation time is to be changed to adjust the dosage.
However, it is also possible in principle to change the angle of the laser modules 12 and 12 and thus the incident on the irradiation surface 21 rays 13 to set a different distance a2, in which the rays 13 at a point 22 on the irradiation surface 21 meet. To change the angle of the beams 13, the laser modules 12 and 12 can each be pivoted about a plane perpendicular to the plane extending axis clockwise or counterclockwise. In the desired position they are to be determined by means of an adjusting screw 14.
Another advantage of provided with the invention on the irradiation head 10 laser modules 12 and 12 is that the light spot 22 generated the rays 13 indicates the exact center of the incident on the irradiation surface 21 radiation. Thus, the operator operating the irradiation device can also position the irradiation head 10 exactly in the horizontal direction.
