<tb>la fig. 1<sep>è una sezione longitudinale del detto esempio realizzativo della penna dell'invenzione nella situazione in cui la punta a scrivente è "a riposo", ossia è alloggiata nello stelo;
<tb>la fig. 2<sep>è la stessa sezione longitudinale della fig. 1 nella situazione in cui la punta scrivente è fuoriuscita dallo stelo per la scrittura;
<tb>la fig. 3<sep>è una vista ingrandita di solo parte della sezione della fig. 1 ;
<tb>la fig. 4<sep>è una vista ingrandita di solo parte della sezione della fig. 2;
<tb>la fig. 5<sep>è una sezione trasversale fortemente ingrandita della penna nella situazione di cui alle fig. 1, 3;
[0001] The present invention relates to the technological field of ball-point pens and, more particularly, it refers to ball-point pens composed essentially of a cap with a drive button with a return spring, connected to an ink tank which it ends with the writing tip and is housed coaxially within said cap and with a stem coaxially aligned and fastened thereto by a threaded part.
[0002] In this type of ballpoint pen the tip of the tip forming the stem is obtained and its re-entry therein by operating the said actuation button. In some pens these two operations are both performed by pressing axially on the button but, lately, pens have been produced in which, to avoid causing the tip to return by inadvertently exerting pressure on the button, the above operations are performed by rotating the hood around the longitudinal axis of the pen.
However, these operations are more difficult and relatively complex, and require the use of both hands, and this can lead to delays and / or difficulties in causing the tip to come out when it is necessary to act quickly.
[0003] The inventor of the object of the present application has devised a ballpoint pen in which both the drawbacks described above are avoided (indentation of the unwanted tip and complications in the operation which leads to the tip coming out). In fact, in the pen of the invention, the exit of the tip is obtained simply by pressing a button but, if pressed again accidentally, it does not cause its re-entry into the stem, since, to obtain this, it is instead necessary to rotate said button. , operation that is practically impossible to perform inadvertently.
[0004] In the pen of the invention the actuation button extends with two flexible tabs, symmetrical with respect to its longitudinal axis, which are coaxially contained in the stem and end with a relief.
On the inner surface of the cap two protrusions are obtained, at different heights along the longitudinal axis of the pen, with each of which the relief of only one wing engages alternately.
[0005] By pressing the button, the first flap translates along a first vertical groove until the writing tip protrudes from the stem, and its relief engages with one of the projections, which has a circumferential extension which is such that, in order to disengage it, it is necessary to rotate the button for a predetermined angular width. After making this rotation, an elastic element interposed between the tank and the stem can make the writing tip retract, making the second flap translate in the opposite direction until its relief engages the other of the two projections, in the "rest" position "of the pen with the tip recessed.
[0006] Advantageously, the said return translation of the second flap is guided by a second helical groove, along which the respective relief slides, shaped so that at the end of the aforementioned translation and rotation of the assembly the relief of the aforementioned first flap is returned to position itself in correspondence with the already described first vertical groove, in order to be able to perform a new translation which causes the writing tip to come out.
[0007] The object of the present invention is therefore a ballpoint pen as described in the attached claim 1.
[0008] A more detailed description will now be given of a preferred embodiment of the ballpoint pen of the invention, also referring to the attached drawings, in which:
fig. 1 is a longitudinal section of said embodiment of the pen of the invention in the situation in which the writing tip is "at rest", ie it is housed in the stem;
fig. 2 <sep> is the same longitudinal section of fig. 1 in the situation where the writing tip has come out of the stem for writing;
fig. 3 <sep> is an enlarged view of only part of the section of fig. 1;
fig. 4 <sep> is an enlarged view of only part of the section of fig. 2;
fig. 5 is a strongly enlarged cross-section of the pen in the situation of figs. 1, 3;
fig. 6 is a strongly enlarged cross-section of the pen in the situation of figs. 2, 4:
the fig. 7, 8 <sep> are two "split" views of the hood.
[0009] Considering first the figs. 1, 2 and comparing them to each other for a check, in them one can see how a ballpoint pen according to the invention comprises (see fig. 1) a cap 2 provided with a driving pushbutton 2p, a rod 3 fixed by screwing on the said cap 2, and an ink tank 4, connected to the button 2p terminating with a writing tip 5. An elastic element for compression, a simple spring 6, is inserted coaxially between the tank 4 and the stem 3 so as to oppose elastically to a translation of the latter operated by the said button 2p, which is connected to it, which causes the leakage from the stem 3 of the tip 5 with which the tank 4 ends.
[0010] As best seen in Figs. 3, 4, inside the cap 2 there are two projections arranged at different height with respect to the longitudinal TT of the pen 1 (see also Fig. 2) and shaped so that they can engage alternatively with one of them a first 9 and a second relief 10 formed respectively on the free ends of a first 11 and a second fin 12 flexible, symmetrical with respect to the axis TT and integral with said button 2p, respectively in the situations in which the tip 5 is withdrawn inside the stem 3 or comes out of it and is ready for writing.
[0011] Advantageously, as already mentioned, it is envisaged that the translation leading to the engagement of the first flap 11 on the first projection 7 is guided by a first vertical groove 13 formed inside the cap 2, and that the return translation of the second tab 12 is guided by a second helical groove 14, which simultaneously rotates the assembly so that at the end of the return stroke of the second tab 12, which causes it to engage on the respective projection 8, the first tab 11 is positioned at the aforesaid first vertical groove 13 in order to be able to perform a vertical translation again which involves the exit of the writing tip 5 from the stem 3.
[0012] The aforesaid projections 7, 8 extend circumferentially on the inner surface of the stem 3 for two determined angular amplitudes [beta], [alpha], (see fig. 5, 6) the sum of which is approximately a corner angle , so that by pressing the button 2p the engagement of the first relief 9 of the first flap 11 is obtained and, then turning the button 2p by an angle greater than or equal to the said angular amplitude [beta] is obtained as said (see fig. 3, 4, 5, 6) disengagement of the first relief 9 of the first flap 11 and that the second flap 12 move, due to the action of the already described elastic element 6, going to hook with its said second relief 10 to the second ledge 8.
[0013] By using a ballpoint pen according to the invention the advantages already described in the present description are obtained.
