<tb>Fig. 1<sep>eine Ansicht eines ersten Ausführungsbeispiels einer erfindungsgemässen Verdunstervorrichtung mit sechs dreidimensionalen Keramikmodulen in Luftströmungsrichtung;
<tb>Fig. 2<sep>eine Schnittansicht der Verdunstervorrichtung gemäss der Linie II-II in Fig. 1;
<tb>Fig. 3<sep>eine Schnittansicht der Verdunstervorrichtung gemäss der Linie III-III in Fig. 1;
The present invention relates to a ceramic module for humidifying an air stream according to the preamble of independent claim 1. Furthermore, the invention relates to an evaporator device with at least one inventive ceramic module.
Ceramic modules for humidifying an air flow are known per se in the form of ceramic plates and are already used for example in humidifiers. In a humidifier, a humidifying liquid - for example, water - is supplied to an air flow. The supply of water is often done with the aid of a nebulizer unit with a plurality of nozzles, wherein the individual nozzles of the nebulizer spray fine water droplets in the air flow.
Some of the water droplets evaporate in the air stream - they are therefore absorbed into the air, which moisturizes them.
However, not all droplets that are sprayed into the air stream evaporate, so that droplets still remain in the air stream. For reasons of hygiene (e.g., germs in the droplets), it is therefore generally necessary to place a flow cross-section droplet separator at the end of the humidification section, e.g. made of random fiber fleece to prevent aerosols from entering the downstream air duct section.
Ceramic plates are now also used as droplet separators, where they not only act as Droplet, but also as a secondary humidifier (evaporation device).
Droplets, which are first deposited from the air stream on the walls of the open-pore ceramic plate, can later be evaporated again in the air stream which flows through the open-pore ceramic plate and moisten it. The amount of wastewater is therefore lower overall in such humidifiers because at least a portion of the previously deposited droplets later evaporates again and thus does not accumulate as wastewater.
In order to provide the air flow a large surface to be flowed through and to have a lower air resistance, the ceramic plates in the evaporator device are preferably arranged in a V-shape. The ceramic plates are surrounded for example by frame parts and are held by vertical support on which the end faces or the end faces of the V-shaped ceramic plates are mounted.
These vertical beams and frame parts, e.g. are made of metal or plastic, but hinder the ceramic plates flowing through the air flow and cause an inhomogeneous humidification of the air flow. The V-shaped arrangement of the ceramic plates also directs the inflowing air from the side plate sections toward the center, causing a back pressure at the end of the evaporator device, as viewed in the direction of air flow, which causes a faster flow of less humidified air behind the evaporator device ie
a flow of air inhomogeneous in terms of humidity and speed.
The present invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide ceramic modules with which an evaporator device can be realized, which allows a more homogeneous humidification.
This object is achieved by the inventive ceramic module, as defined in independent claim 1. Another aspect of the invention relates to an evaporator apparatus as characterized in claim 9. Preferred embodiments will become apparent from the dependent claims.
The essence of the invention consists in the following: A ceramic module for humidifying an air flow with a moistening liquid has an open-pored structure through which the air stream flows and comprises at least one plate-like module section.
The at least one plate-like module section has areas of different thickness or the ceramic module comprises at least one further plate-like module section of different thickness.
Due to the different thickness regions of the ceramic module, the different air pressure of the flowing air stream can be compensated, so that behind the ceramic module, a more homogeneous air flow is generated.
In an advantageous embodiment, the ceramic module is formed as a ceramic plate with different thicknesses areas.
Such a ceramic plate is structurally simple and can be easily installed in an evaporator device.
In an alternative advantageous embodiment, the ceramic module comprises a plurality of plate-like, merging into one another module sections which are arranged three-dimensionally.
By this three-dimensional arrangement of the plate-like module sections exposed to the humidification an air flow surface of the ceramic module is significantly increased compared to a ceramic plate, while the air resistance is reduced. Several such ceramic modules can be arranged in a plane side by side and one above the other and do not need to be mounted in a V-shape, as the ceramic plates.
The surface increasing three-dimensionality is in the ceramic modules themselves and does not arise only from the arrangement, which simplifies the construction of ceramic modules containing evaporator devices.
In addition, can be largely dispensed with such three-dimensional ceramic modules on frame parts. In particular, the end surfaces or - depending on the arrangement of the ceramic modules - end faces of the ceramic modules frame free.
Preferably, at least some of the module portions of the three-dimensional ceramic module are arranged to taper to one side, wherein at least some of the module portions are thicker in a tapered portion of the ceramic module than in a less tapered portion.
In this way, an optimum flow of air through the ceramic modules can be achieved, the differences in thickness at the same time ensuring that air that flows into the ceramic module and flows through the module sections, behind the ceramic module produces a more uniform air flow.
Advantageously, at least some of the module sections are arranged in the shape of pyramids, truncated pyramids, cones or truncated cones. With such three-dimensionally formed ceramic modules, an optimally homogeneous, uniformly humidified air flow can be achieved behind the ceramic modules.
Preferably, the change in the thickness of the at least one plate-like module section over the module section is continuous.
Such a continuous change in thickness has proved to be advantageous for the generation of a homogeneously humidified air flow.
Advantageously, the ratio of the largest thickness to the smallest thickness of the module portion or the module sections in the range of 1.2 to 3, preferably in the range of 1.4 to 2. Ceramic modules with such thickness ratios are easy to prepare and in Verdunstervorrichtungen installable and ensure a homogeneously humidified airflow.
Evaporator devices can be formed with ceramic modules, wherein an inventive evaporator device has at least one ceramic module, which according to the invention has differently thick areas as described above.
Evaporator devices according to the invention enable a more homogeneous airflow in the direction of airflow behind the evaporator device.
Advantageously, in the evaporator device ceramic module areas which are exposed during operation of an air flow with greater pressure than other ceramic module areas, thicker than these other ceramic module areas.
Due to the thicker ceramic module areas, the air flow is opposed by a greater resistance, thereby compensating for the greater air pressure.
In an advantageous embodiment of the evaporator device at least two of the ceramic modules are formed as ceramic plates with different thicknesses areas and arranged V-shaped, wherein the ceramic plates are formed thicker in the region of seen in the air flow direction behind vertex of the V than in a further from Vertex removed area. Through the legs of the V, the air flow is partially deflected towards the vertex, creating a dynamic pressure there.
In the region of the vertex of the V, therefore, the flow has a greater air pressure, which is compensated by the thicker formation of the respective plate areas.
In the following, the inventive ceramic module and the inventive evaporator device with reference to the accompanying drawings with reference to two embodiments will be described in more detail. Show it:

<Tb> FIG. 2 <sep> is a sectional view of the evaporator device according to the line II-II in Fig. 1;
<Tb> FIG. 3 <sep> is a sectional view of the evaporator device according to the line III-III in Fig. 1;
<Tb> FIG. 4 is a perspective view of a second embodiment of an inventive evaporator device with four ceramic plates arranged in V-shape; and
<Tb> FIG. FIG. 5 shows a longitudinal section through a ceramic plate of the evaporator device of FIG. 4. FIG.
FIGS. 1 to 3
The illustrated first embodiment of an inventive evaporator device 10 comprises six over and next to each other arranged ceramic modules 1, wherein two juxtaposed ceramic modules 1 are connected to each other by connecting means 2. The ceramic modules 1 each consist of plate-like, merging module sections, which form a regular, four-sided, inside hollow truncated pyramid with an angled to the side portions 12 of the truncated pyramid collar 11 at the base. This means that the ceramic modules 1 taper towards one side, namely towards the end section 13 of the truncated pyramid.
The angle alpha between a side surface and the imaginary base of the truncated pyramid is advantageously in the range of 30 deg. to 90, preferably in the range of 45 deg. to 80, at 90 deg. can no longer be spoken of a rejuvenation.
The ceramic modules 1 have an open-pored structure, which can be seen in FIGS. 2 and 3 by the indication of a plurality of coarse pores, through which an air flow can flow. Initially, liquid droplets, e.g. Water droplets are deposited from the air stream on the walls of the open-pore ceramic plate. These are then later in the air stream, which flows through the open-pore ceramic plate, evaporated and moisten it. There are about 2 to 8 pores per cm.
The ceramic structure of the open-cell ceramic modules 1 has walls running through the structure, which are preferably porous, which makes them more hydrophilic. The thickness of the walls is for example in the range of 0.1 mm to 1.5 mm, preferably in the range of 0.2 mm to 0.6 mm.
The end portion 13 of a ceramic module 1 is formed thicker compared to the side portions 12. In addition, the side portions 12 from the collar 11 to the end portion 13 are continuously thicker. That Module sections in a tapered portion of the ceramic module are thicker than in a less tapered section. The thicknesses of the plate-like module sections are all between 2 and 10 cm. The ratio of d2: d1 according to FIG. 3 is advantageously 1.2 to 3, preferably 1.4 to 2.
This ensures that air flowing in the direction of arrow A in the ceramic module 1 and flows through the module sections, behind the ceramic module 1 generates a more uniform air flow.
Two opposite portions of the collar 11 of each ceramic module 1 each have a stepped side edge 14 and 15, which engages under or over a complementary stepped side edge 15 and 14 of the above or below adjacent ceramic module 1. The ceramic modules 1 thus keep each other in the air flow direction A, and the impinging air always flows through at least one of the ceramic modules. 1
Two juxtaposed ceramic modules 1 are each connected by two connecting means 2 firmly together. The two connecting devices 2 each comprise a screw 21 with screw head 22 and a nut 23.
In addition, extends over the entire height of the evaporator device 10, a U-profile 20 which is pressed by the screwed onto the screws 21 nuts 23 against the underlying collar portions 11 of the ceramic modules 1. The U-profile 20 holds together with the screws 21 side by side arranged ceramic modules 1 together. In addition, it can simultaneously serve to secure the evaporator device 10 to the walls of an air flow channel. To accommodate the screws 21, the ceramic modules 1 each have two half-cylindrical recesses 16 on two opposite side edges of the collar 11.
FIGS. 4 and 5
In the second embodiment shown here, an inventive evaporator device 100 comprises four V-shaped ceramic plates 101, which are held in U-profiles 102.
The ceramic plates 101 are moistened from the inside and for this purpose each have an inlet 111 and an outlet 112 for moistening liquid, between which two meandering channels 113, 114 extend inside the ceramic plate 101. Through the inlet 111 moistening liquid can be introduced into the channels 113, 114 and thus into the interior of the ceramic plate 101. From the channels 113, 114 then the moistening liquid passes through the porous ceramic material on the surface of the walls of the open-pore structure, where it can be absorbed by the flowing air flow (evaporation).
The ceramic plates 101 are formed thicker in the region of the rear in the direction of air flow B - in the foreground - in Fig. 4 - vertex of the V than in more distant from these crests areas.
The thickness of the individual ceramic plates 101 increases in the air flow direction B from front to back continuously and regularly. The ratio of d4: d3 according to FIG. 4 is advantageously 1.2 to 3, preferably 1.4 to 2. By the legs of the V, the air flow is partially deflected to the rear apex, creating a dynamic pressure there. In the region of the rear vertex of the V, therefore, the air flow has a greater air pressure, which is compensated by the thicker formation of the respective plate areas.
To the above ceramic modules according to the invention and evaporative devices further constructive variations can be realized.
It is expressly mentioned here that an evaporator device according to the invention can also have ceramic plates without inlet 111, outlet 112 and channels 113, 114 which, for example, like the three-dimensional ceramic modules, are humidified externally by water droplets in the air stream.
