Fig. 1) anschlägt.
The present invention relates to a lamp according to the preamble of patent claim 1 and a lamp arrangement with at least two lamps according to the preamble of patent claim 15.
Such generic lights are generally known. The luminaire housing, in which a light source, e.g. an incandescent lamp or a linear lamp is arranged, held by mounting means, which are designed, for example, in the form of a stand (floor lamp) or a wall or ceiling mount (wall or ceiling lamp). The luminaire housing is articulated on the mounting means, so that the luminaire housing can be pivoted about the relevant joint with respect to the mounting means.
However, depending on the particular construction, there are limits to the pivoting angle made possible by the joint arrangement. In particular, with the known constructions, the luminaire housing cannot generally be pivoted by more than +/- 90 ° relative to the mounting means. However, this is desirable for a high level of user friendliness and multifunctional applicability.
From EP-A1-0 735 315 a so-called scissor lattice lamp is known which has two identical scissor lattices made of electrically conductive material which run parallel to one another, the pivot points of the two scissor lattices lying opposite one another. At least two opposite hinge points are provided with so-called Sofitten connections, on which Sofitten incandescent lamps can be used between the two hinge points. The scissor lattice luminaire can be pulled apart or pushed together depending on the application and user due to the oppositely arranged and parallel scissor lattice. Swiveling the lamp or the light bulbs held in it is not possible.
The invention is based on the object of designing a lamp in accordance with the preamble of claim 1 in such a way that the lamp housing with the light source located therein can be pivoted over the largest possible angular range. In particular, the lamp housing should be pivotable by at least +/- 90 °.
This object is achieved according to the present invention by a lamp with the features of independent claims 1 and 15.
The dependent claims describe advantageous and preferred embodiments of the present invention.
The luminaire according to the invention comprises a luminaire housing which is fastened to the holding means via a hinge arrangement, the hinge arrangement having at least one pair of articulated arms which cross each other and are articulated at one end to the luminaire housing and at the other ends to the holding means.
This arrangement of the articulated arms allows the lamp housing to be pivoted in at least one direction by more than 90 ° from an initial position. This enables the luminaire according to the invention to be used to emit many different spatial areas without repositioning the entire luminaire and therefore to be used for different applications.
It when the articulated arms are each longer than the distance between the joints of the articulated arms attached to the mounting means is particularly advantageous. It is also advantageous if the distance between the joints of the articulated arms attached to the lamp housing is smaller than the distance between the joints of the articulated arms attached to the holding means. This enables a particularly large swivel range of the lamp housing.
In order to be able to fix the lamp housing in a desired swivel position, a fixing means that functions according to the principle of a friction brake or a locking mechanism can be arranged on the fastening means and / or the lamp housing in the region of the joint axes. Alternatively, the fixing means can be designed in such a way that it does not engage directly in the joints, but nevertheless enables the lamp housing to be fixed in a desired pivot position, such as e.g. in the case of a bracket or the like.
The present invention can be applied to all types of luminaires in which the luminaire housing can be pivoted. Accordingly, the lamp according to the invention can be both a floor lamp and a table, wall or ceiling lamp, etc. If the lamp according to the invention is a wall or ceiling lamp, the holder means comprise a suspension, while in the case of a free-standing lamp or table lamp the holder means have a stand.
Furthermore, the present invention can be applied to a wide variety of luminaire housing shapes. If the lamp housing has an elongated shape, a joint arrangement according to the invention should preferably be provided on both end faces of the lamp housing.
The combination of two or more luminaires according to the invention to form a luminaire arrangement according to claim 15 is particularly advantageous, wherein the crossing articulated arms of the individual luminaires are articulated to a common holder via common joints.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing using preferred exemplary embodiments.
1 shows a first embodiment of a lamp according to the invention,
2 shows a lamp arrangement with two lamps according to the invention,
3a to 3c show illustrations for explaining the principle of the invention in a third exemplary embodiment according to the invention, and
4a and 4b show illustrations to explain the principle of the invention in a fourth exemplary embodiment according to the invention.
The first exemplary embodiment of the present invention shown in FIG. 1 is a luminaire 1 with an elongated luminaire housing 2. In the luminaire housing 2 there is a cavity for receiving a light source, such as e.g. an incandescent lamp or a fluorescent lamp. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, this cavity is covered by a (milk) glass cover 3 in order to avoid glare to an observer by the light source. The luminaire housing 2 is fastened to a ceiling by means of holding means 4, 5, the holding means comprising a suspension 4 as a holding element and a transverse web 5 connected thereto.
The luminaire housing 2 is connected to the crossbar 5 via a hinge arrangement, the hinge arrangement comprising two intersecting articulated arms 6, 7, which are articulated on the one hand via joints A and B on the lamp housing 2 and on the other hand via joints C and D on the crossbar 5 are. The design of the joints A-D and their attachment to the lamp housing 2 and the crossbar 5 can in principle be chosen as long as the selected arrangement enables the lamp housing 2 to pivot relative to the individual joints A-D or the crossbar 5.
In the embodiment shown in Fig. 1, the hinge arrangement is attached on both sides to the end faces of the lamp housing 2, i.e. both on the left and on the right side of the housing there are two intersecting articulated arms 6, 7, which are articulated to the corresponding end face of the lamp housing, housing side 2 and mounting means 4, 5.
The articulated arrangement enables the lamp housing to be pivoted over a very large swivel angle range. In particular, the joint arrangement is selected such that the lamp housing can be pivoted by at least +90 ° or -90 °. This will be explained in more detail below with reference to FIGS. 3a to 3c, 4a and 4b.
3a shows an initial position of the joint arrangement with the joints A-D according to the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 1. The joints A and D are thus connected by the articulated arm 6, while the joints B and C are connected by the articulated arm 7. The two joints A and B are fastened to the lamp housing 2 and are therefore separated from one another by an unchangeable distance. The joints C and D are located on the crossbar 5 coupled to the suspension 4 and are also fixedly spaced from one another. In the starting position (FIG. 3a), the two articulated arms 6, 7 intersect.
It is now assumed, as shown schematically in Fig. 3a, that the articulated arms, i.e. the distances between the joints A and D or B and C are longer than the crosspiece 5, ie the distance between the joints C and D. By pivoting the lamp housing 2 with the joints A and B in the direction of the arrow shown, the lamp housing can 2 are pivoted via an intermediate position shown in FIG. 3b into a position shown in FIG. 3c, in which the lamp housing 2 is pivoted by more than 90 ° with respect to the starting position. In this case, the pivoting in the arrow direction shown is limited only by the stop on the suspension 4 or the ceiling, while pivoting in the opposite arrow direction is limited by the stop on the hinge axis C of the crosspiece 5.
4a and 4b different pivot positions are shown analogously for the case that again the crosspiece 5, i.e. the distance between the joints C and D is shorter than the articulated arms 6, 7, i.e. the distances between the joints A and D or B and C. In addition, in this case it is assumed that the distance between the joints A and B, in contrast to FIG. 3a, is smaller than the distance between the joints C and D.
When pivoting the lamp housing clockwise (Fig. 4a), as shown in Fig. 4a-1, the lamp housing 2 can be pivoted until the articulated arm 6 (ie the connection between the joints A and D) on the articulation axis B. , which is attached to the lamp housing (cf. Fig. 1). As can be seen from FIGS. 4a-2, the luminaire housing can thus be pivoted by almost 270 ° in the direction of the arrow.
If the lamp housing is pivoted counterclockwise from the starting position (FIGS. 4b-1) (FIG. 4b), pivoting is again possible until the articulated arm 6 connecting the joints A and D strikes the articulated axis B fastened to the lamp housing 2 ( see Fig. 4b-2), in which case a pivoting of again more than 90 ° is possible.
2 shows the use of the joint arrangement in the case of two circular ceiling lights 1. Each of these lights 1 in turn has a light housing 2 with a cavity covered by a glass pane 3 for receiving a light source, two articulated arms 6, 7 crossing each other on each light housing 2 with the aid of Joints A and B are articulated. Analogously to FIG. 1, the two articulated arms 6, 7 are likewise articulated on a common crosspiece 5, only one crosspiece joint D being visible in FIG. 2.
In principle, what has already been said about the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 1 applies to the luminaires 1 shown in FIG. 2. The explanations for FIGS. 3a to 3c, 4a and 4b also apply, so that a repetition of these explanations is dispensed with.
However, it is particularly advantageous in the luminaire arrangement shown in FIG. 2 that the two luminaires or spotlights 1 are each held on one side of the crosspiece 5 by common joints, which saves space and yet independent adjustment or pivoting of each luminaire enabled by the other lamp.
In addition, the arrangement shown in FIG. 2 is fastened to a ceiling via a swivel joint 8, which allows the lights 1 to be rotated and thus provides an additional degree of freedom for the adjustment and alignment of the lights 1. 2, the swivel joint is arranged in particular between the crossbar 5 and the suspension 4, so that the crossbar 5 can be rotated together with the lights 1 relative to the suspension 4.
Furthermore, a mechanism for fixing the lights in a desired pivoting position is shown by way of example in FIG. 2. This mechanism comprises an intermediate part 9 coupled to the joint D as a fixing means, which blocks or locks the joint D in the sense of a friction brake when the lever located thereon is rotated, so that subsequently no further pivoting of the lamp housing 2 or only pivoting with considerable effort is possible. if the intermediate part 9 has not previously been loosened again using the corresponding lever. Of course, this fixing mechanism can also be attached to each of the articulation axes A-D. Likewise, the luminaire housing 2 can also be fixed in a desired pivoting position with the aid of catches, specific brackets or the like.
The features shown in FIG. 2 can of course also be applied to the embodiment shown in FIG. 1. Thus, the lamp 1 shown in FIG. 1 can also be fastened to the ceiling via a swivel joint 8 or fixing means 9 can be provided. Likewise, several elongated lamp housings 2 can be fastened to common fastening means 4, 5 in accordance with FIG. 2 via common joints C, D.
