Fig. 1 einen Schnitt durch ein Ausführungsbeispiel;
Fig. 2 eine vergrösserte Darstellung des Mittelbereiches von Fig. 1;
Fig. 3 einen Schnitt entlang der Linie III-III in Fig. 1.
Fig. 3) verschraubt ist.
The invention relates to a chuck according to the preamble of claim 1, as it is usually connected to a rotary spindle of a machine tool and receives a collet. The collet in turn holds a tool, e.g. a drill.
The known chucks have certain asymmetries in the design with respect to the axis of rotation, in particular in that a so-called "eccentric" is usually provided which engages in a groove of the collet to release the collet, so that the eccentric removes the collet from its clamping in Chuck can be released. Without such an eccentric or corresponding pressure means engaging behind the collet at a point along the circumference, the collet cannot be released.
Such asymmetrical components on a chuck have the serious disadvantage that they cause an imbalance. This unbalance leads to vibrations at certain speeds. This results in a bad surface and affects the service life of the tool. In addition, in the known systems, the collet is subjected to torsion during clamping because, on the one hand, it is already jammed in the conical receptacle and, on the other hand, the clamping nut exerts a torque on it during clamping by friction. This will cause further runout errors.
On the other hand, the manufacture of collets with high concentricity is relatively advanced, so that the task is to provide chucks with high concentricity.
According to the invention, the chuck has the features of the characterizing part of claim 1.
What is essential is the arrangement of the clamping pieces, which can be moved radially away from each other (outwards) or towards each other (inwards) and, when moving outwards, by acting on the tightening nut, clamping the collet and thus the tool in the collet, and when moving in exert a pressure on the ejector in the other direction, which releases the collet from a conical receptacle in the chuck body. The system is completely rotationally symmetrical, so there is no design-related imbalance. The collet is tensioned only in the axial direction without torsion.
An embodiment of the invention and its advantageous developments are described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. They represent:
1 shows a section through an embodiment.
Fig. 2 is an enlarged view of the central area of Fig. 1;
3 shows a section along the line III-III in FIG. 1st
The chuck is formed by a chuck body 1, which has a conical receptacle 2 on its right side, in which a collet 3 is received. The taper is e.g. 8 DEG. A tool 4 is accommodated in the collet 3. With its left end 4 minutes, the tool 4 (e.g. a milling cutter) lies against the stop element 5, which is formed by a screw. This is screwed into a stop 6, which is screwed to the chuck body 1 by means of the screws 24a, 24b (cf. FIG. 3).
The collet 3 is held in the conical receptacle 2 by a tension sleeve 7 and pressed into the conical receptacle 2 by the latter. The pull sleeve 7 is screwed to a tightening nut 8. The tightening nut 8 is held in the axial direction in that two inclined surfaces 8 min, which are provided on the tightening nut 8, press against likewise inclined surfaces 9 min of two clamping pieces 9a and 9b. The clamping pieces 9a and 9b are arranged in a bore 10 in the chuck body 1 and sealed there with O-rings 11. The inclined surfaces 8 min of the tightening nut 8 are part of openings 12a and 12b in the tightening nut 8. From the interaction it follows that when the clamping pieces 9a, 9b are moved inward in the radial direction, the tightening nut 8 moves in the axial direction can move to the right.
If, on the other hand, the clamping pieces 9a, 9b are moved radially outward, they move the tightening nut 8 in the axial direction to the left. It follows from this: If, in a certain position of the clamping pieces 9a, 9b, the pull sleeve 7 is firmly screwed to the tightening nut 8 or the clamping pieces 9a, 9b are moved radially outward, the collet 3 is thereby pulled into the conical receptacle 2 and the tool is clamped. If the clamping pieces 9a, 9b are then moved radially inwards towards one another, then the unit formed from the tightening nut 8 and pulling sleeve 7 can shift axially to the right, so that the collet 3 can also be pushed out of the conical receptacle 2 by a small amount to the right ,
The two clamping pieces 9a and 9b have further inclined surfaces 9 min min, which interact with inclined surfaces 12 min min of the ejector 12. The ejector 12 sits on a shoulder of the stop 6 and is pressed against it by a compression spring 13. The other end of the compression spring 13 is supported on a disc 14 which is held by a locking ring 15 which in turn is attached to the stop 6. In this way it is achieved that a displacement of the clamping pieces 9a, 9b in the radial direction causes a displacement of the ejector 12 in the axial direction to the right. A small displacement of this type pushes the collet 3 out of the clamp in the conical receptacle 2, so that the collet 3 is released and the tool 4 can be removed and replaced.
In order to be able to effect the radial displacement of the clamping pieces 9a, 9b in the bore 10 towards one another (loosening the tightening nut 8 and pressing the ejector sleeve 12 to the right) and away from one another (tensioning the tightening nut 8), the clamping pieces 9a, 9b are each provided with a Provided internal thread, namely the clamping piece 9a with a right-hand thread and the clamping piece 9b with a left-hand thread. A pulling pin 16 engages in this internal thread, which is also provided with a thread on both sides of an undercut 17, namely with the right-hand thread 17 min and the left-hand thread 17 min.
If you turn the pull bolt 16 in one direction, the clamping pieces 9a, 9b will therefore be moved towards each other in the radial direction towards the inside due to the opposing different threads; if the pulling bolt 16 is turned in the other direction, the two clamping pieces 9a, 9b are moved away from one another in the radial direction. In the former case, the engagement of the inclined surfaces 8 min, 9 min and thus the tightening nut 8 and with it the tension sleeve 7 is loosened; at the same time, the ejector 12 is displaced a little bit to the right and thus “ejected” by the interaction of the surfaces 9 min and 12 min in the axial direction, so that a tool change is possible. When the pulling bolt 16 rotates in the opposite direction, the clamping pieces 9a, 9b are moved outwards.
Due to the interaction of the inclined surfaces 8 min, 9 min, the tension sleeve 7 and the tightening nut 8 and thus also the collet 3 are clamped. The undercut 17 serves to create a path for a coolant past the pull stud 16.
In order to prevent twisting of the clamping pieces 9a, 9b in the bore 10 and in the openings 12a, 12b of the tightening nut 8, the clamping pieces 9a, 9b are flattened along the outer conical circumference forming the bevel 8 at the point 18. Correspondingly, the openings 12a and 12b in the tightening nut 8 also have flat areas 19 there. By the flats 18, 19 resting against each other, the clamping pieces 9a, 9b are prevented from rotating when the pull bolt 16 is turned.
The tightening bolt 16 is turned by inserting a socket wrench into the hexagon socket 20, which on the other side corresponds to a compensating bore 21 for mass compensation. The notches 22 on the clamping pieces 9a, 9b are used for adjustment.
It should be added that the stop 6 is U-shaped in its left area (see also FIG. 3) and overlaps the pull stud 16 with the two legs of the U. The stop 6 and the ejector 12 are arranged in a bore 100 in the chuck body 1.
The chuck body 1 has on its left end a bore 27 with an internal thread, which is provided for a pull stud in a machine tool. A coolant supply channel is designated by 23.
From Fig. 3 it can be seen that the stop 6 in the chuck body 1 is held by two screws 24a, 24b, which are accessible through holes 25a, 25b in the chuck body 1 and holes 26a, 26b in alignment with them in the tightening nut 8.
For assembly, the clamping pieces 9a and 9b are screwed onto the pull stud 16 and then inserted into the bore 10. The clamping pieces 9a, 9b must be screwed so far radially inwards onto the pull stud 16 that the tightening nut 8 can be pushed onto the chuck body from the outside into the position shown in FIG. 1. Then you insert the stop 6 from the right with the stop element 5 and with the preassembled ejector 12 and fix them with the screws 24a and 24b. Then screw the tension sleeve 7 to the tightening nut 8.
Then, with the tool 4 inserted, the pull stud 16 is turned by turning a hexagon wrench inserted in 20 in such a way that the clamping pieces 9a, 9b move radially outward, to the extent that on the one hand the ejector 12 is in its end position shown and on the other hand the Collet 3 is tightened by tightening the tension sleeve 7 and tightening nut 8.
In order to be able to remove or replace the tool 4 again, it suffices to insert the pull bolt 16 from the outside through the openings 12a, 12b by inserting a hexagon wrench into the hexagon socket 20 in order to turn it up to one and a half turns. Then the pulling sleeve 7 loosens as described. At the same time, the ejector 12 is displaced axially to the right by a combination of the inclined surfaces for 9 minutes, 12 minutes, so that its right end pulls the collet 3 out of the fixed clamp on the conical receptacle 2 pushes.
From the description given it can be seen that the entire structure no longer has any asymmetries, so that vibration-free running is ensured if all parts are machined accordingly.
The chuck is suitable for internal cooling. The coolant is introduced through the coolant channel 23 into the bore 27 and passes the undercut 17 through an inner bore in the stop element 5 through an inner channel in the tool 4, if such is provided. The tension sleeve is provided with the inserted seal 28 for sealing. Sealing on the clamping pieces takes place by means of the O-rings 11 already mentioned.
