Technisches Gebiet

Fig. 3 zeigt das stirnseitige Ende des Containers.
Fig. 3) eingehängt.
Technical field
The invention relates to a container with a platform and a frame structure.
State of the art
Containers are permanent transport containers that are suitable for transport with one or more means of transport without repacking the load. They are built so that they can be easily loaded and unloaded. Various containers are specified in terms of size and load capacity in the ISO standards (see e.g. ISO830, ISO 1496, ISO 668).
Presentation of the invention
The object of the invention is to provide a container of the type mentioned, which can be loaded and unloaded by the transport vehicle itself and alternatively handled with a forklift.
The solution to the problem is defined by the features of claim 1. According to the invention, the longitudinal spars can be used on the one hand as rails and, on the other hand, are additionally provided with forklift pockets. This means that the cross-section of the longitudinal bars is dimensioned so that the container can be pulled onto the loading frame of a transport vehicle via steel rollers without risk of damage.
The container can thus be loaded and unloaded by the vehicle itself without the aid of an additional crane or forklift. This is particularly important for applications in which containers have to be handled in open terrain (relief or disaster operations, military, etc.). The vehicle has a corresponding mechanism (crane arm, cable pull) to pull up the container.
A frame structure according to the invention is designed such that no statically effective side walls are required. In particular, no additional struts are provided between the profiles forming the edges of a cuboid. On the one hand there are no restrictions on the use of the container volume and on the other hand the interior is accessible from all (especially three) sides during loading and unloading.
For the handling and protection of the container contents, it can be advantageous if a permanently installed wall is provided on the front end. In most cases, a waterproof tin roof is also useful.
In the middle of the longitudinal spars, ISO-compliant forklift pockets are provided. According to the invention, the opposite forklift pockets are connected by a closed flat profile. In this way, the platform receives additional stability.
The closed flat profiles are advantageously passed through the longitudinal bars and welded to them. This results in a reinforcement of the longitudinal bars in the area of the forklift pockets. In principle, however, it is also possible to provide non-closed profiles for connecting the longitudinal spars in the area of the forklift pockets or to connect the profiles only to the inner profile wall (with respect to the frame of the base plate).
The longitudinal spars themselves are advantageously square profiles and have a cross-sectional height that is approximately twice the width.
The geometric dimensions (length, width) of the platform advantageously correspond to the ISO standard for inland containers. The overall height, on the other hand, is preferably below the ISO standard in order to minimize difficulties due to the total height of the vehicle with the container attached in road traffic.
The construction of the container according to the invention is particularly suitable for applications which require a payload of more than 10 1.
If the container is to be able to be pulled onto differently equipped transport vehicles, additional internal rails can be provided. These are parallel to the longitudinal spars, but have a smaller mutual distance.
Connections (fittings) are preferably provided on the front corners of the container in order to be able to couple an elevator frame. The frame structure itself therefore has no hook or the like on which the crane arm of the vehicle could engage. This has the advantage that the empty weight is very low and the construction of the container can be kept simple. However, it is also conceivable that the connection hook is welded to the frame of the container or is integrated in the construction thereof.
From the following detailed description and the entirety of the claims, further advantageous embodiments and combinations of features of the invention result.

In principle, the same parts are provided with the same reference symbols in the figures.
Ways of Carrying Out the Invention
A particularly preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2.
The container consists of a platform and a frame structure. The platform is formed by two longitudinal bars 1, 2 and two transverse bars 5, 6, which are connected in the corners by fittings 13, 14, 15, 16 to form a flat rectangular frame (e.g. welded). The frame structure in turn is composed of the four vertical corner posts 9, 10, 11, 12 and the upper longitudinal and transverse bars 3, 4 and 7, 8, respectively. The corner posts 9, 10, 11, 12 rest on the mentioned lower fittings 13, 14, 15, 16 and support the upper fittings 17, 18, 19, 20, which are arranged in the same way and perform the same function as the lower ones Fittings 13, 14, 15, 16.
The elements mentioned are rigidly connected to one another and dimensioned in such a way that they can take on all occurring load cases. In particular, no supporting walls and no additional struts (bars or the like) are required. Depending on the application, dimensionally stable side walls can be provided. If three-sided access for loading and unloading should be possible, the container is covered with waterproof plastic tarpaulins or foils.
The longitudinal bars 1, 2 have forklift pockets 21, 22, 23, 24. These are flat slots or openings in the upper half of the profile, into which the arms of a conventional forklift can be inserted. The opposite forklift pockets 21 and 23, 22 and 24 are connected by closed flat profiles 25, 26. A floor 27 (e.g. made of sheet steel) is placed on the longitudinal and transverse bars 1, 2 and 5, 6 (shown only partially in FIG. 1). The flat profiles 25, 26 are located under this floor 27.
The lower longitudinal spars 1, 2 are dimensioned larger than the upper longitudinal spars 3, 4. As can be seen from Fig. 2a, b, the longitudinal spars 1, 2 are formed by upright square profiles. Viewed in cross-section, the ratio of height to width is approximately 2: 1. The forklift bag 23 is a continuous opening in the longitudinal spar 1 (and specifically across its longitudinal axis). The flat profile 25 is also a square tube. Its internal cross-section is selected in accordance with the standards that are relevant for the arms of a forklift. The flat profile 25 is less than half the height of the longitudinal spar 1. It is passed through the longitudinal spar 1 and welded to it on both profile walls of the longitudinal spar 1. In this way, the platform of the container receives additional stability.
As can be seen from Fig. 2a, the forklift bag 23 is formed in the upper half of the cross section of the longitudinal spar 1. The longitudinal beam 1 has a sufficiently stable cross-section in this area, too, to be able to serve as a rail.
The forklift pockets allow the container to be moved or loaded with a forklift. In the following, the mounting of the container on an appropriately trained transport vehicle will be described.
Fig. 3 shows the front end of the container. The fittings 13, 14, 17, 18 are preferably designed in accordance with DIN 15190 and allow an H-shaped elevator frame 28 to be fastened. This consists of two side beams 29, 30 and a cross beam 31. The ends of the side beams 29, 30 can be attached to the Fittings 13, 14 and 17, 18 are coupled. In the middle of the cross member 31, a bracket 32 is provided, on which a hook of the vehicle-side elevator device can be hung.
4 shows how the container can be mounted on a suitably designed transport vehicle 33. The transport vehicle 33 has a loading frame 36 with e.g. two rollers 35, which are arranged at the rear end of the loading frame 36 at a distance which correspond to the distance between the longitudinal bars 1, 2 of the container. Otherwise, the loading frame 36 is narrower than the platform of the container.
The hook of the crane arm 34 is attached to the bracket 32 (see FIG. 3). Then the container is lifted from the front and placed on the rollers 35 with the front ends of the longitudinal spars 1, 2. Now it can be pulled over these rollers 35 onto the loading frame 36 of the transport vehicle, the longitudinal bars 1, 2 serving as rails.
When unloading, the whole procedure is carried out in the opposite direction.
The handling of the container with a forklift takes place in a manner known per se and therefore requires no further explanation.
A cable pull mechanism can also be used instead of the crane arm. The ropes can be attached to the lower fittings 13, 14 of the container.
The invention is particularly evident in the embodiment shown, but is in no way limited to this.
In summary, it can be stated that the container according to the invention is suitable for various transport systems and for any design or division of the payload space.
