The invention relates to a method for inserting manhole covers, in particular in road construction, according to the preamble of claim 1 and to a device for carrying out such a method according to the preamble of claim 3.
In a method known from practice, a so-called facet layer made of concrete is applied to the upper edge of the shaft tube and to the base layer surrounding the shaft tube. The manhole collar is placed on this facet layer and pressed into the facet layer in the direction of the shaft tube until the manhole collar is inserted precisely, i.e. the upper edge of the cover placed on the shaft collar is flush with the upper edge of the covering. Subsequently, a lower base layer, usually a so-called insulating layer, and then an upper base layer, the so-called hot-mixed base layer, are applied to about half the height of the shaft collar, the upper edge of which is flush with that of the covering and the cover.
It follows from this that in the known device there is an intermediate layer, namely the aforementioned facet layer, between the shaft tube and the base layer on one side and the shaft collar on the other side.
The above-mentioned method is disadvantageous especially in the case of streets with a high gradient, since the facet layer must be applied parallel to the inclination of the street. Problems can also arise with the aforementioned method if the shaft collar has been pressed too far into the facet layer. In this case, the manhole collar must be raised again and the space between the manhole collar and the facet layer resulting from the lifting must be filled with additional material. This procedure is time consuming and therefore expensive. In order to be able to change the position of a misaligned manhole collar, an agent that retards the hardening of the concrete was usually added to the concrete of the facet layer. This means that the position of the shaft collar can be changed over a longer period of time.
However, this also means that the facet layer solidifies only slowly and therefore the road can only be driven on again with a time delay.
In the known method, formwork can also be used. This usually consists of a curved band, the ends of which are held together by a web or bracket. The diameter of the bent band can be adjusted using a clamping screw. In the case of commercially available belts, the tensioning screw and thus the diameter of the approximately cylindrically shaped belt cannot be adjusted so much that such casing with shaft collars with knobs protruding into the interior can be subsequently removed again. In this respect, the formwork described above is mainly used for manholes without knobs.
In the case of manhole collars with knobs, the space between the manhole tube, the base layer, the covering and the manhole collar is usually poured out in several steps, which additionally increases the time required for inserting manhole covers.
Furthermore, shaft covers are known from DE-A1-2 533 289, CH-A5-677 684, US-A-5 513 926 and DE-A1-4 400 846, in which the shaft collar can also be used with a precise fit by means of spacer rings of different heights. According to EP-A1-0 231 454, EP-A20 311 884, DE-A1-4 230 006, EP-A1-0 485 649, US-A-5 412 911 and US-A-5 344 253, manhole covers are included Screw adjusting height adjustment devices known.
A method and a device of the type mentioned at the outset are known from CH-A5-609 119, according to which threaded holes provided on the shaft collar are used as the height adjusting device, into which screws which can be supported on the shaft tube fit adjusting screws. A disadvantage of the methods and devices known from the prior art is that they are complex and expensive, since at least the shaft collar has to be specially adapted to the respective height adjustment device and that the shaft covers, which are merely resting on screw bolts, are generally not accessible to heavy vehicles ,
The invention is based on the object of providing a method of the type mentioned at the outset with which shaft covers can be used more economically and can also be driven on with heavy vehicles. The invention is also based on the object of specifying a device for carrying out the method.
This object is achieved on the process side by the features of patent claim 1 and on the device side by the features of patent claim 3.
The advantages according to the invention can be seen above all in the fact that the height adjustment device does not require any adaptation / modification of conventional manhole covers and the alignment of the manhole collar can be carried out quickly and easily using the spacers. Subsequent changes to the position of the shaft collar can also be carried out in a few simple steps and thus with little loss of time. The formwork is only attached when the shaft collar is already in its precisely fitting position relative to the covering and the shaft tube. It is also advantageous that if there are several precisely aligned shaft collars, these can be cast in one go with the at least one base layer. It is possible to use a quickly solidifying concrete, so that the road can be driven on again faster.
It is also advantageous that the fully installed manhole cover rests both on the height adjustment device and on the at least one base layer. As a result, there are no local pressure peaks in the manhole cover, even under high loads, which could permanently change the exact position of the manhole cover.
Advantageous developments of the invention are the subject of the respective dependent claims.
An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawing. It shows:
Fig. 1 shows a vertical section through a casing having a casing.
1, a manhole 1 is surrounded by a base layer 2 such that the upper edges of the manhole 1 and base layer 2 are flush with one another. Above the shaft tube 1 there is a shaft collar 3, which has a shaft frame 4 centrally in its upper section, into which a cover 5 is inserted such that the upper edge thereof is approximately flush with the upper edge of the shaft frame 4.
Immediately below the cover 5 there is a knob 6 firmly connected to the manhole frame 4. This has a recess, not shown, in which a mandrel provided on the cover (not shown) engages when the cover is installed. As a result, the cover is held against rotation in the shaft frame and shaft collar.
According to the invention, on the upper edge of the shaft tube 1 there is a height adjustment device 7 which has a plurality of adjustable spacers. The shaft collar 3 and thus also the shaft frame 4 and the cover 5 rest on these.
Above the shaft tube 1 and the base layer 2 there is a lower support layer 8 below and to the side of the shaft frame 4, which extends up to approximately half the height of the shaft collar 3. This is followed at the top by an upper base layer 9, the upper edge of which is aligned with that of Dec 5 and with that of a covering 10 provided on the base layer.
To fill the space below and next to the shaft collar 3 with the lower support layer 8, a casing 11 with a preferably cylindrical cross section is provided according to FIG. 1, with an approximately horizontal bracing of the casing 12 connecting the casing sides to one another and from the lower support layer 8 radially inwards , ie absorbs compressive forces acting transversely to the longitudinal axis of the shaft tube and the shaft collar.
The spacers 7 are designed as adjusting screws. About three adjusting screws are provided for each shaft collar 3, two spacers 7 being shown in FIG. 1 for reasons of drawing and explanation. It is clear that, particularly in the case of manhole collars with a large diameter, more than three adjusting screws can also be provided in order to be able to align the manhole collar with a precise fit.
The lower base layer 8 is preferably made of liquid concrete, while the upper base layer 9 is preferably a so-called hot-mixed base layer. The surface is preferably made of asphalt. The base layer 2 is a so-called gravel case. The shaft collar 3 is usually made of concrete, the casing 11 is at least partially made of wood.
Instead of a wooden cladding with a horizontal strut 12, a curved band adjustable by means of a tensioning screw, not shown, can also be used, in particular in the case of a shaft collar without knobs 6. In the case of a shaft collar with knobs 6, it is preferably to be ensured that the casing 11 can be removed from the shaft either before the shaft frame 4 having the knobs 6 is inserted or after the shaft frame having the knobs is inserted. In the latter case, this either requires a casing made of several parts that can be separated from one another or else a curved, approximately cylindrical-shaped band, the diameter of which can be reduced to such an extent that the band can be pulled past the knobs 6 upwards out of the shaft.
The method according to the invention for inserting manhole covers, in particular in road construction, is explained in detail below.
Several preset spacers 7 are placed on the upper edge of the shaft tube 1 surrounded by the base layer 2. The shaft collar 3 is then placed on the spacers. Since the spacers 7 are designed as adjusting screws, the position of the manhole frame can be changed without problems by adjusting the spacers. The shaft collar is fine-tuned so that the upper edge of the cover 5 inserted into the shaft frame 4 of the shaft collar 3 is flush with the upper edge of the covering 10. A slat can also be used for this fine alignment of the shaft collar.
Then the casing 11 is attached, which extends from the inside of the shaft collar 3 to the inside of the shaft tube 1. The space between base layer 2, shaft tube 1, casing 11, shaft collar 3 and covering 10 is now filled by means of a lower base layer 8 made of liquid concrete. This filling takes place approximately up to half the height of the shaft collar 3. Then the remaining space between the lower base layer 8, shaft collar 3, shaft frame 4 and covering 10 is filled in such a way that, in the assembled state of the entire shaft cover, the upper edges of the shaft frame 4, cover 5, upper one Base layer 9 and covering 10 are aligned. Before inserting the cover 5, the casing 11 is removed and pulled up out of the shaft collar 3. The shaft collar 3 is closed with the cover 5.
When the casing 11 has been removed, the surface formed by the casing is usually so fine that it no longer needs to be plastered. Since post-processing is no longer necessary, the work is already finished.
With the aid of the method according to the invention and the device explained, it is thus possible to move manhole covers, which can be loaded with high weight, quickly and inexpensively, and thus ultimately very economically. In addition, this method can of course also be used for quadrangular or polygonal manhole covers.
