Abstract

The bookmark is made from a thin strip of a supple or semi-rigid synthetic or fibrous material, and has one face partially coated with a weak adhesive (1). The non-adhesive side of the bookmark can carry writing or printing or be used for a text or slogan, and its tip (4) can be coloured The bookmark can be made from a transparent material or have at least one transparent window (2), and can be supplied in blocks or individually, separated by layers of silicon paper.

Description

The bookmarks used to mark the pages of books, notebooks, booklets, etc., are of two kinds: fabric bookmarks, small ribbons attached to the edge of bound books, and independent bookmarks, of various materials - cardboard, leather, plastic, etc. - who have the disadvantage of falling off books if they are not careful, thus making their use random.

The object of the invention according to claim 1 is a new and improved form of bookmark.

The application on one of its faces of a layer of low adhesion glue makes it possible to fix it on a page or a sheet and to detach it without damaging the support. It is reusable as long as the glue retains its adhesive power.

These bookmarks will serve as an index by letting them overflow and by differentiating the overflowing end by colors or annotations. They will also be able to highlight an element of text by underlining it, arrowing it or framing it, with the possibility of adding a written comment using a pencil or delbable ink.

An elaborate form corresponding to claims 1 to 3 is illustrated, by way of example, in FIG. 1. We can see the glued part 1, a transparent framed window 2, an arrow cut end 3 and a colored end 4. The free surfaces can be used for printing a text or a slogan.

Bookmarks can be presented stacked in blocks or individually applied on detachable sheets (silicone paper for example).

Claims (3)

1. Bookmark consisting of a thin, flexible or semi-rigid strip of synthetic or fibrous material, characterized in that one of its faces is partially coated with a low-adhesion adhesive, making the bookmark self-adhesive, detachable and reusable . 2. 2. Bookmark according to claim 1, characterized in that the non-glued side has a surface suitable for receiving handwriting or mechanical printing. 3. 3. Bookmark according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that it consists of a transparent material or comprising at least one transparent window.
