The invention relates to a device for fastening an electrical component to an object, in which device the electrical component is housed in a separate housing and this housing is housed in a receiving device of the object and fastened to the object.
For a long time, objects for identification purposes have been provided with electrical components in the form of data carriers in the various areas of application. For example, department store items are provided with price tags or devices with test marks and type plates. In order to prevent theft, one goes with higher quality purchase items such as Nowadays, clothes in the large self-service department stores even provide the items with (electronic) transponders, which are each housed in a separate housing, which in turn is attached to the item to be labeled and can only be destroyed with the help of special tools Purchase items can be solved.
Transmitter / receiver devices are located at the entrances of these department stores, which trigger an alarm signal when such a transponder approaches, so that thefts can be prevented very effectively.
But also in the field of waste disposal, labels are used for identification purposes. For example, in municipal waste collection in many municipalities, only those garbage cans that are visibly covered with a valid flat fee stamp are emptied. In view of the growing problems with waste disposal (the growing amount of waste that has to be disposed of annually, there is shrinking landfill capacity), the municipalities are increasingly moving towards increasing the amount of garbage fees according to the amount, weight or number of empties, in order to educate consumers (according to the polluter pays principle about the payment of fees) to avoid garbage in the first place.
In DE-OS 3 933 795 A1 such a garbage (quantity) detection system is described in which each individual garbage can is equipped with a transponder that contains data for identifying the garbage can owner, which is located on the garbage truck when emptying the garbage can Transmitter / receiver read and evaluated in a computer for the purpose of calculating garbage fees. In this system, the transponder is accommodated in a recess provided on the garbage can housing, which is filled with potting material.
Difficulties arise with this solution whenever e.g. the point is to replace a defective transponder in a garbage can, which by potting has made a practically no longer detachable connection with the garbage can. Difficulties also arise when retrofitting old garbage cans with such transponders, since the assembly of the transponders with the subsequent casting "on site" is not very easy to accomplish. It should also be borne in mind that such a "retrofitted" garbage can is not immediately ready for use again, since the casting compound takes a certain time to harden.
To avoid these difficulties, it has already been proposed to accommodate transponders of this type in a housing and to screw or rivet this housing to the waste bin with a screw or rivet. In this solution, the housing consists of a pot-shaped lower housing part with a circular cylindrical cross-section, which, after the transponder has been inserted into the lower housing part and potted with potting compound, is covered with a cover that rests on the edge of the lower housing part and its diameter with the outside diameter of the lower housing part matches.
The housing cover and lower housing part each have a hole in their center through which the fastening screw or rivet is guided, which is screwed or anchored under the lower housing part in the bottom of a pot-shaped recess in the garbage can wall. The disadvantage of this solution is that a pot-like depression in the garbage can wall is absolutely necessary for receiving or fastening the housing, with the result that the lower housing part protrudes far from the garbage can wall and the housing can therefore be easily damaged, especially when emptying the garbage can.
In patent DE 4 238 225, the object was to improve a device of the type mentioned at the outset such that the data carrier can be attached to the object in the simplest possible manner and at the same time can be protected as well as possible from mechanical damage or destruction.
According to this patent, this object is achieved in that, in the case of a device of the type mentioned at the outset, in which the lower housing part is designed as a housing pot, which is fastened with its lateral wall in the receiving device of the object in a force-fitting and / or form-fitting manner, with an electrical one Component in the form of a data carrier, in particular a transponder, with which the object is identified:
- For fastening the housing pot in the receiving device, the lateral wall of the housing pot has an external thread and the lateral wall of the receiving device has an internal thread corresponding to this external thread or
- For fastening the housing pot in the receiving device, the lateral wall of the housing pot has at least one thickening formed as a circumferential edge on its outside and the lateral wall of the receiving device has at least one depression designed as a circumferential groove on its inside and that the at least one is designed as a circumferential edge Thickening of the housing pot in the at least one recess formed as a circumferential groove of the receiving device is fitted non-positively and / or positively
- To attach the housing pot in the receiving device, the side wall of the
Housing pot has on its outside at least one recess designed as a circumferential groove and the side wall of the receiving device has at least one thickening formed as a circumferential edge on its inside and that the at least one thickening of the receiving device designed as a circumferential edge into the at least one recess designed as a circumferential groove the housing pot is fitted in a non-positive and / or positive manner.
The main advantage of this solution is that the device can be mounted so that the lower housing part does not protrude from the garbage can wall, so that the device is reliably protected against mechanical damage or destruction, particularly when the garbage can is emptied.
Another advantage of this solution is that the data carrier can already be assembled in the separately manufactured housing prior to its assembly on the object to be labeled, so that the assembly of the device on the object is exhausted in that only the housing is left with the data carrier already mounted in it must be non-positively and / or positively mounted on the receiving device of the object (if the receiving device already exists) or that this receiving device - if not yet available - is completely separate from the mounting of the housing in or on Item can be attached.
By accommodating the data carrier in a separate housing, the data carrier itself is reliably protected against mechanical damage or destruction. In addition, tampering with the device by unauthorized persons can largely be prevented, since manipulation of this type is not possible without (visible) damage to the housing or the receiving device because of the all-round force and / or positive locking of the fastening of the housing in the receiving device of the object . With this solution, however, a lower housing part that receives the data carrier is still required, with an additional lid that closes the lower housing part, which results in a certain additional outlay in terms of manufacture and assembly.
The object of the invention is therefore to improve the device in such a way that the outlay in manufacture and assembly can be further reduced.
The achievement of this object according to the invention is represented by the characterizing features of patent claim 1. The remaining claims contain advantageous developments and further developments of the invention (claims 2 to 13) and preferred applications of the invention (claims 14 to 16) and an advantageous method for producing the subject matter of the invention (claim 17).
The solution according to the invention is that the housing is designed as a housing pot which is closed at the top with a cover with a force and / or positive fit or is open at the top, that the receiving device is designed as an open cavity in the object, that the cavity is at its bottom and / or at the bottom Lateral wall has fastening means that the housing pot is at least partially inserted into the cavity and is non-positively and / or positively connected to the fastening means at the pot edge or at the edge of the lid.
A major advantage of this solution is that the housing pot can be inserted directly into the appropriately prepared cavity of the object (e.g. the bulk goods container) and fastened there.
It is also possible to attach the cavity to the object (e.g. on the underside of the bulk rim of a bulk container, which cannot be seen from above or from the side), so that the housing pot with the data carrier can no longer be seen or can only be detached from the object with special tools can (disassembly without special tools would generally result in the housing or the data carrier / transponder being damaged or destroyed). This has the advantage that e.g. vandalism or misuse can be prevented very effectively in the case of publicly accessible objects (garbage cans, etc.), since such an object does not readily indicate that it is equipped with a data carrier or transponder or that this data carrier is not easily removed can be.
In a preferred embodiment of the solution according to the invention, it is provided that the housing pot preferably has a circular or square or rectangular cross section. It has proven particularly expedient in this solution that the lateral wall of the housing pot has an external thread and the lateral wall of the cavity has an internal thread corresponding to this external thread for fastening a housing pot with a circular cross section in the cavity. This solution has the advantage that the housing pot can usually be easily screwed into the cavity without special tools, but can also be easily screwed out of it.
In another preferred embodiment it is provided that the fastening means protrude into the cavity and at least two locations - preferably at two opposing locations or at three locations at the corners of a triangle - positive and / or non-positive connection with the pot edge of the housing pot have or form and / or frictional connection with the entire pot edge of the housing pot. It has proven particularly expedient in this solution that the positive and / or non-positive connection is realized in the form of a snap lock. This solution has the advantage that the housing pot can be inserted into the cavity very easily without special tools and can be fastened there simply by exerting pressure that causes the snap lock to snap into place.
With this solution, the housing pot can usually only be removed with special tools, so that this solution is particularly suitable for those applications in which vandalism or misuse is to be feared.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3, which show three different preferred embodiments of the solution according to the invention in cross section. In the figures, the same components have always been provided with the same reference numerals, so that in this respect reference is made to the previous description (s) of the figures in the description of the figures.
1 shows (by way of example) a section of a refuse container 1 in cross section. The container 1 has a pouring opening 8 for throwing in or emptying the garbage and a pouring rim 7 which is formed on the edge of the pouring opening 8 on the side wall 9 of the garbage container 1 and points outwards and via which the garbage during the automatic emptying in a garbage truck is emptied from container 1.
On the underside of the pouring rim 7, which is (as an example) designed as an angled molded part with constant wall thickness, a separately manufactured lower housing part in the form of a housing pot 2 with a circular cross section is fastened, which has a bottom 21, a side wall (pot edge) 22 and one on the bottom Has formed circumferential groove 20 with a rectangular cross-section formed on the inside of the pot edge 22.
The angled pouring rim 7 forms a cavity 10, into which the housing pot 2 is introduced and is fastened there to a circular elevation 60, which, according to the contour of the pot rim 22 of the housing pot 2, is dimensioned on the bottom 5 (ie on the underside of the pouring rim) 7) of the cavity 10 and which is fixed on the one hand to the bottom 5 of the cavity 10 and on the other hand by means of a bead 61 running around its outer wall, which engages in the groove 20 of the pot rim 22 and forms a snap closure with it, with the housing pot 2 connected is.
The housing pot 2, which can be made of a dimensionally stable or elastic material (e.g. plastic), is connected to the elevation 60 (and thus to the garbage can 1) by means of the groove / bead snap closure 20, 61 in a non-positive and positive manner. The garbage can 1 or the elevation 60, 61 can also be made from a dimensionally stable material (e.g. sheet metal) or from an elastic material (e.g. plastic). A data carrier 3 in the form of a transponder with data memory is housed and encapsulated in the interior of the housing pot 2. The potting compound 4 completely covers the transponder 3. To protect the data carrier 3 against moisture, the sealing compound 4 must adhere very well to the housing pot 2. This ensures that no moisture can penetrate between the housing pot 2 and the casting compound 4.
This is particularly important because the data carrier 3 rests directly on the bottom 21 of the housing pot 2 at some points and cannot be encased with potting compound 4 at these contact points. To activate the surface of the housing pot 2, the latter is advantageously subjected to a plasma treatment beforehand, which ensures particularly good and tight bonding of the casting compound 4 to the housing pot 2.
After completion of the garbage can 1 (e.g. made of plastic) with a corresponding elevation 60, 61 on the underside of the pouring rim 7 (e.g. in one operation using injection molding technology), the separately made housing pot 2 with encapsulated data carrier 3 is placed in the cavity 10 and there locked with a light blow (a hammer, for example) in a non-positive and positive manner by the bead 61 of the elevation 60 sliding along the inside of the pot rim 22 into the housing pot 2 and then snapping into the groove 20 there in a non-positive and positive manner.
To remove the housing pot 2 from the cavity 10 (e.g. in the case of a defective transponder 3), e.g. Using a pair of special pliers, the side wall 22 of the housing pot below the groove 20 is pressed slightly inwards so that the upper region of the pot rim 22 is pressed slightly outwards in the region of the groove 20, so that the groove 20 and the bead 61 at least in some places free from each other and the housing pot 2 can be pulled down out of the cavity 10.
In the embodiment described in FIG. 1, the read / write head of the corresponding transceiver is inserted from below into the preformed pouring rim 7 and directly to the housing pot for reading in or reading out data into or out of the transponder 3 2 introduced. This read / write head can e.g. be attached at a suitable point on the dumping device of the refuse collection vehicle or be designed on a portable transceiver.
The housing head 2 or the garbage can 1 can advantageously be produced as injection molded parts.
It has proven to be particularly advantageous if the data carrier is already inserted into the housing pot and / or the cavity during manufacture or afterwards during injection molding and then fastened there.
The embodiment of the solution according to the invention shown in FIG. 2 differs from the embodiment suitable in FIG. 1 in that the housing pot 2 is closed with its own cover 11 in a non-positive and positive manner by a circumferential one on the inside of the side wall 22 of the housing pot Groove 220 and on the underside of the cover 11 a corresponding annular elevation 110 are provided with a circumferential bead 111 on the outer edge and the bead 111 engages in the groove 220 in a non-positive and positive manner. The edge of the cover 11 also has a circumferential bead 112 which has a triangular cross section.
After the assembly of the housing 2, 11, this bulge claws into a plurality (for example six to eight) of webs 71 which run vertically on the inside of the side wall 70 of the receiving device 10 from the bottom 5 to the opening of the receiving device and on the inner wall 70 are evenly distributed.
The webs 71 are made of a softer material (e.g. the same (plastic) material from which the garbage can is made) than the bead 112.
In this embodiment, the housing pot 2 is first closed with the cover 11, which is simply pressed into the housing pot 2 until the bead 111 snaps into the groove 220 and thereby closes the housing pot 2 in a non-positive and positive manner. The housing 2, 11 is then pressed into the receiving device 10, the bead 112 of the cover 11, due to its outer diameter, which is larger than the “free” inner diameter of the receiving device 10 predetermined by the webs 71, the webs 71 when the housing 2 is inserted , 11 deformed (compressed) into the receiving device 10.
After assembly, the webs 71 remain deformed at the points at which the bead 112 has clawed them. In the remaining parts, they essentially assume their original shape again because of the soft, elastic material from which they are made, thereby ensuring that the housing 2, 11 is securely and positively and positively fastened in the receiving device 10.
The embodiment of the solution according to the invention shown in FIG. 3 differs from that shown in FIG. 2 in that the housing pot 2 is not closed with a cover, but rather is introduced directly into the receiving device 10. In this solution, two circumferential beads 221 with a triangular cross-section are attached to the outside of the side wall 22 of the housing pot 2, which - in the same way as the bead 112 in FIG. 2 - claw in the elastic webs 71 of the receiving device 10 and thereby for ensure a secure and non-positive and positive fastening of the housing pot 2 in the receiving device 10.
The exemplary embodiments shown in the figures are particularly suitable for waste containers which have already been provided with a correspondingly dimensioned receiving device during manufacture. This can be realized particularly advantageously in the case of plastic waste containers which are produced using injection molding technology.
In order to be able to remove the housing on the receiving device (e.g. because the transponder is defective), the bottom 5 of the receiving device 10 is expediently drilled out and the housing 2 or 2, 11 is knocked out of the receiving device 10.
It goes without saying that the invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments described, but rather can be applied analogously to others (which may also be in other areas of application).
So it is e.g. It is possible in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1 to make the groove 20 on the outer wall of the housing pot 2 and to provide the elevation 60 with a correspondingly larger diameter and with an inwardly directed bead.
It is also conceivable to attach the bead in this exemplary embodiment to the pot edge 22 of the housing pot 2 and the groove on the elevation 60. The groove or the bead need not be circumferential either, but can be placed in two or more places on the outside. or inside the pot edge of the housing pot or the elevation.
This embodiment is particularly advantageous if the housing pot has a cross-section that deviates from the circular cross-section (e.g. square, rectangular).
It is also conceivable that the housing pot is fastened in the cavity by gluing. The housing pot and / or the cavity are expediently roughened on the surfaces to be bonded (for example by a plasma treatment), so that a higher strength of the bond can be achieved.
The cavity can also be placed elsewhere on the waste container (e.g. in the lid of the container or on its side wall).
To facilitate assembly, the side wall of the housing pot in the region of the groove can also be provided with one or more vertically or obliquely running slots which give the side wall sufficient play when it is introduced into the cavity.
Finally, in addition to garbage containers or other bulk material collection containers, any other objects (e.g. devices, vehicles) can also be marked in this way: for example, vehicles marked in this way could be automatically registered when driving onto a (toll) freeway (for the purpose of collection or billing road usage fees).
