Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Augenabdeckung für Schützen, zwecks Vermeidung des Zukneifens des nicht mit dem Zielen beschäftigten Auges, miltels einer an einem Stirnband, einer Brille, inbesondere an einer Schiessbrille oder an einer Kopfbedeckung mittels eines daran befestigten Halters klappbar befestigten, wenigstens teilweise opaker Augenklappe. Auf dem Markt sind Stirnbänder 1 mit Haltern 2 für die schwenkbare Befestigung einer Augenklappe 5 erhältlich. Auch sind solche Schwenkbefestigungen an Schiessbrillen, wie beispielsweise an einer Schiessbrille gemäss dem CH-A 676 887 bekannt. Wie einleitend ausgeführt, befriedigen solche Anordnungen von Augenklappen nicht in jedem Fall. Beispielsweise sollte bei düsterem Wetter ein opake Abdeckung und bei hellem Wetter eine undurchsichtige Abdeckung vor das nicht zum Zielen benützte Auge gehalten werden können.
