Beschreibung description
The invention relates to a spinning ring and a ring spinning machine, in which a number of spinning rings are used for winding threads.
In addition to improving the shape, the development of spinning rings involves increasing the wear resistance of the surface and reducing the running-in time.
The wear mechanism depends, among other things. on the interplay between the spinning ring and the runner led by him. If the surface of the spinning ring is damaged, this leads to an impairment of the stability of the runner on its path and to an increased surface load at the contact point ring-runner, which occasionally leads to peak loads on the spinning ring with increased wear. On the other hand, the runner is quickly damaged enough to have to be replaced by a new one.
Coating technology lends itself to the surface treatment of the spinning ring, with metal-phosphorus alloys, preferably in baths, being applied to the running surface of the spinning ring.
The problem with such layers is that they are either removed too quickly by the rotor or, in turn, destroy the rotor if they are too hard.
The aim of the present invention is to improve the coating in such a way that the abrasion resistance of the layer is increased further without increasing its hardness. This problem is solved by a metal-phosphor layer, at least on the running surface of the spinning ring, which comes into contact with the rotor, with a minimum content of 4% of the total mass of phosphorus. Suitable metals are nickel, cobalt, iron or combinations of the metals mentioned, that is to say nickel-cobalt, cobalt-iron, nickel-iron, or an alloy of all three metals, the minimum phosphorus content mentioned in each case being present. It has been shown that the wear resistance of the layer increases precisely because of a relatively high phosphorus content. Particularly good results are achieved with a phosphorus content of more than 10%, the best results being achieved with a phosphorus content of more than 12%. An electrolytic process is particularly suitable for the deposition of the metal layer with the high phosphorus content. If a phosphorus content of less than 10% is sufficient for an application of the spinning ring, the layer on the spinning ring can also be deposited by a non-electrolytic process.
The metal-phosphor coating can be reinforced by a fine ceramic grain, preferably silicon carbide.
