The invention relates to a therapy device for the back balance with a lower footprint and an upper, substantially flat support surface. It is known that preventive and therapeutic sitting instead of conventional chair shapes to improve back and trunk control (harmonious ergonomic use of all physiologically available systems, i.e. muscles, ligaments, tendons, joints and nerve conduits), balancing chairs and physioballs ( Bouncing balls). Furthermore, it is known that one can perform certain forms of exercise therapeutically on therapy gyroscopes while lying and standing under the guidance of the therapist.

However, these previously known therapeutic aids have some disadvantages. When used preventively when sitting, balance chairs lead to poor circulation in the lower extremities due to one-sided leg posture and higher pressure on the patella (kneecap). The leg statics are in an unphysiological position. The upper extremity is pushed into a one-sided, passive and static posture, which can have a negative effect on the metabolic processes of the intervertebral discs and the structures near the joints.

Furthermore, balancing chairs are relatively expensive to buy, take up a lot of space and are difficult to transport.

Physiological balls (bouncing balls) form an unsafe and uncontrolled underlay for older, unsporting or obese people for preventive use while sitting. These balls are difficult to transport, take up a lot of space and are not aesthetically pleasing to everyone.

The therapeutic gyroscopes mentioned are unfavorable for beginners for therapeutic applications when lying down, since they are associated with movements that are difficult to control (evasive movements). They also have non-variable resistances and cannot be adapted to specific back and trunk control functions without the help of the therapist.

The present invention seeks to remedy this. The aim is to replace the aids mentioned with a device that should be easy to use for laypersons and doctors, or therapists, and can be combined in any way (sitting / lying down).

According to the invention this is achieved by the features mentioned in claim 1.

The device has a flexible central axis 1 as a central bearing between a lower and an upper plate 4. The central axis is rigid or shock-absorbing in the direction of the axis. A damping element 2 is inserted between the plates 4. This can be designed as a foam cushion variable in resistance, which forms a progressively increasing resistance and a soft end stop with increasing tilt angle. The damping element 2 is preferably interchangeable to allow different states of movement and to be adapted to different weight classes (light, medium, heavy). For this purpose, a casing 5 surrounding the device is provided with a closure on one side. To replace and replace the damping element, the cover can be opened laterally with this closure.

An air chamber cushion 3 with a single or multi-chamber system is arranged on the upper plate 4. It allows a pressure distribution of the contact surface, which additionally supports and improves the execution of the movement on the movement control. The interconnected air chambers in a multi-chamber system are arranged in such a way that an even pressure distribution is exerted on the body, even under different local loads. The air chamber cushion 3 can also be replaced and replaced by a corresponding closure on the cover.

The plates 4 consist of a light and preferably recyclable material, so that the device can be easily transported. They serve to optimally achieve the mentioned tilting movements.

At the bottom the device is provided with elements 6 which prevent it from slipping on carpets or other documents. The central mounting 1 of the plates 4 permits tilting movements, as indicated in FIG. 3.

The tilting movements can take place in the forward and backward direction, transversely thereto and as a combination of these movements as spatial rotary tilting movements.

The device described can be used for preventive and therapeutic indications as follows:

Possible preventive indications for back balance are:

- dynamic and physiological sitting (= improvement of posture)

- Learning back / trunk coordination (sitting / lying / lying in a side position, lying in a supine and prone position)

- Learning pelvic control, i.e. pelvic erection and pelvic tilt (= physiological)

- Different forms of exercise to improve the muscular balance back / trunk (sitting, and all positions lying down)

- active relaxation of the back / trunk muscles (lying on the stomach and back)

Claims 1. Therapy device for the back balance with a lower footprint and an upper, essentially flat support surface, characterized in that a flexible central axis (1) is provided as a central support between the support surface and the support surface, which is essentially rigid or shock-absorbing in the axial direction , in such a way that tilting movements in the forward and backward direction, transversely thereto and rotational movements combining these movements can be carried out with the support surface under a corresponding load. 2.
