As far as this is known, this basic type of floor stand has been described for the first time by the German publication 2 902 573. There such support plates are hinged to the upper edges of the front wall and the rear wall of the foot, which are glued to the bottom of the foot.

A development that has been described for the first time by the German utility model specification 8 033 787 has also become widespread. The foot can also be folded flat here. Carrier plates are hinged to the upper edges of the front wall and the rear wall of the foot, which are connected to one another to form a roof-like structure and this roof is glued to the bottom of the container.

This principle has also been modified frequently, for example by forming the roof in one piece and anchoring it only to the upper edge of the front wall of the foot, the free edge of the roof being glued at a suitable point to the inner surface of the rear wall of the foot.

A construction similar to the above-mentioned utility model specification is described, for example, in European patent specification 143,184, whereby a two-part roof construction is also provided, which is also glued to the bottom of the container.

The state of the art is also referred to the German utility model 8 715 662, which describes a floor stand made of folded material, wherein a plate is articulated on the upper edge of the front wall of the foot, which plate also forms the bottom of the container. When unfolded, the plate rests on undulating extensions inside the foot.

The German utility model 8 801 893 also describes a flat foldable floor stand made of folded material, wherein, similar to the utility model described above, a plate is articulated to the upper edge of the front wall of the foot, which at the same time forms the bottom of the container in the unfolded state. On its free edge, this plate has a tab with incisions which engage in corresponding detents in the interior of the foot and thereby stabilize the plate in the unfolded state.

DE-GM 9 010 189 describes a floor stand similar to the features of the preamble of claim 1. However, this known floor stand cannot be unfolded with a handle, the container being pivoted into the position of use, as is an essential feature of the present invention.

This known floor stand gets its stability from a tray that is inserted into the unfolded floor stand. Inserting the tray is time consuming and making it increases costs.

Based on this prior art, the invention has for its object to provide a floor stand with the features of the preamble of claim 1, which avoids the disadvantages of the prior art, which can be unfolded with a handle, which is stable and which is particularly inexpensive to manufacture can be.

To achieve this object, the invention is characterized in that the carrier plate rests on the upper edges of the side walls of the foot, that its free edge is locked with upward-facing, rearward extensions of the side walls of the foot, that one of the material of the carrier plate is attached to the carrier plate hinged fastening tab is punched out, which is hooked to the container, and that slots are formed on the free edge of the carrier plate and / or on the free edges of the extensions facing this edge, such that the carrier plate can be hooked with the extensions.

In the unfolded state, the carrier plate no longer necessarily spans the entire inside width of the foot, although this is possible. In addition, one dispenses with the adhesive tab provided in the prior art, with which the roof construction is glued to the rear wall of the foot. Instead of the adhesive connection, a connection is made with the aid of the fastening tab mentioned, which is punched out of the material of the carrier plate to save material.

Although the roof-like construction is dispensed with, the foot is simultaneously unfolded when the support plate or the container connected to the support plate is pivoted into the essentially horizontal position of use, because the rear free edge of the support plate during this movement adjoins the upward-facing extensions supports the side walls of the foot and thereby spreads and folds the foot. This means that during this unfolding process, due to the pivoting of the carrier plate or the container, the distance between the front wall and the rear wall of the foot is increased, so that the foot is automatically unfolded. The slots on the right and left that extend into the extensions of the side walls provide excellent stability, taking into account that the support plate is articulated to the front of the foot at the front. The carrier plate is therefore connected or locked to the front wall of the foot and to the upward-facing extensions of the side walls of the foot in the rear area of the foot, and this gives the structure very good stability, although the structure can be folded flat and folded up in a few simple steps is.

As with the German patent application 2 902 573 discussed at the outset, the container can be sent unfolded with a flatly folded foot which rests against it in a space-saving manner, in which case the container is expediently filled with the goods in question in order to use its interior. However, it is preferred if the container can also be folded flat, for example by means of corresponding diagonal folding lines in its side walls, as is also state of the art.

The fastening tab of the carrier plate can in principle be hooked onto the container at any point, for example on its rear wall or front wall. However, it is preferred if the fastening tab is hooked to the bottom of the container. This makes the connection particularly stable and also saves material.

The foot has a front wall 1, side walls 2 and a rear wall 3. In the center of the side walls are longitudinal folding lines 4. In addition, transverse folding lines 5 are provided in the foot.

In the rear area, the side walls 2 are extended upwards, so that extensions 6 are formed. The rear wall is also extended and its extension 7 can protrude above the level of the extensions 6, so that a kind of billboard is created.

The non-extended parts of the side walls 2 have upper edges 8 which run horizontally or also form a (positive or negative) angle with the horizontal.

A support plate 10 is articulated to the upper edge 9 of the front wall 1, which is wider than the distance between the side walls 2, so that the support plate rests on the upper edges 8 of the side walls. In the rear free edge 11 of the

In the carrier plate, a tab 14 is also provided, which is punched out of the material of the carrier plate. It is articulated via a line 15 to the carrier plate 10.

In the bottom 16 of the associated container (see FIGS. 3 and 4), a wider slot 17 is provided, through which the tab 14 is inserted. The front tongue of the tab is then inserted through a narrower slot 18 in the bottom 16, with lateral extensions 19 of the tongue engaging the edges of the slot 18 and thereby snagging there well. In addition, a punch 20 is provided in the middle and directly adjacent to the slot 18, which helps when the tongue is threaded into the slot 18.

Fig. 3 also shows punchings 21 on the lower edges of the bottom 16, which make it easier to lay the side walls 22 of the container flat. Diagonal folding lines 23 are provided in the side walls for the same purpose.

It can thus be seen that both the foot and the container can be folded flat. The carrier plate 10 and the container connected to the carrier plate run in an extension of the front wall 1, which otherwise lies against the rear wall 3 with the interposition of the folded side walls.

From this flat-folded position, the floor stand is unfolded in one movement in that the carrier plate 10 or the container connected to it is pivoted into the unfolded position shown in FIG. 1, the front edge 11 of the carrier plate at the edges 13 of the extensions 6 is supported and thereby spreads the walls 1, 3 of the foot apart and thereby unfolds the foot.

The features described, in particular the attachment using the tab 14 and the hooking using the slot 12, create a firm and stable unit.
