The invention relates to a transmission for the shedding mechanism of a weaving machine for producing a non-uniform output from a uniform drive with an input shaft and an output shaft aligned with it, which are mounted in a housing, according to the preambles of claims 1 and 2.
When driving modern dobby machines that work according to the rotation principle, the uniform rotary movement in a gearbox, synchronously taken from the weaving machine, is converted into an intermittent rotary movement in such a way that the main shaft in the dobby machine stops briefly after each rotation of 180 ° and then 180 ° again continue to turn and so on, so that during the standstill phase of the main shaft, the specialist lifting elements for the movement of the shafts can be engaged or disengaged with the main shaft.
Such a transmission is known from European patent specification 0 035 954. The change of the uniform rotary movement into a non-uniform rotary movement for the main shaft of the dobby is carried out by a stationary complementary cam disc, around which a rotor rotates with a pivotable roller lever and cam rollers, which produce a positive connection to the complementary cam disc. The roller lever undergoes a pivoting movement through the curve profile and this pivoting movement is transmitted to the main shaft of the dobby by means of a radially extending link guide on the roller lever, the slide piece attached to the driven part. One revolution of the rotor corresponds to two weaving machine cycles, so there is one weaving machine cycle for a curve segment of 180 °. This ratio makes the cam segment partially concave and limits the cam roller diameter.
Such strongly changing curve profiles place high demands on their production, because any deviation from the theoretical profile sets the transmission system in undesirable vibrations and high peak loads occur on the transmission elements, combined with unnecessary noise development and increased wear. Furthermore, the torque transmission creates undesirable sliding friction between the link guide and the slider, which increases the power requirement as well as the heating of the dobby.
The object of the invention is to provide a transmission which avoids the disadvantages described and thus enables high working speeds with smooth running and low energy consumption. The object is achieved by the features defined in claims 1 and 2.
A planet gear rotates around a fixed sun gear, which is rotatably mounted in a rotor. The center of rotation of the rotor is identical to the center of the sun gear. The planet gear has half the number of teeth on the sun gear, so that a full rotation of the planet gear of 360 ° takes place after half a turn of the rotor of 180 °. The planet gear mounted in the rotor rotatably carries a complementary cam, the center of which is eccentric to the center of rotation of the planet gear. The center of the complementary cam moves on an epicycloidal path during the rolling rotation of the planet gear on the sun gear. This epicycloid basic movement of the complementary cam disc is assigned an additional movement determined by the curve profile in accordance with the required movement sequence on the drive.
With an epicycloidal motion sequence alone, the requirement for an absolute standstill in the output, for switching the coupling elements on the main shaft in the dobby during several angular degrees of the drive and an optimal acceleration and deceleration in the shedding mechanism cannot be met. The same applies to the use of a basic hypocycloid movement. As described in claim 2, this is assigned a curve profile of a complementary cam disc in such a way that the desired sequence of movements is created on the output shaft.
If the complementary cam were not positioned eccentrically, but centrally on the planet gear, the curve profile would have to be determined according to the required sequence of movements, which would result in very strongly changing profile sections, and the complementary cam would have large dimensions and would not be feasible for a transmission of this type.
The present invention makes it possible to combine curve profile and epicycloidal movement sequence in such a way that the conditions for the switching functions in the dobby as well as optimal acceleration and deceleration values for the shedding mechanism are met. The curve profile is convex at every point on the circumference and thus undercut problems during production are eliminated. With each cam track of the complementary cam, a cam roller has positive contact and the two cam rollers are attached to a common roller carrier, the roller carrier being part of the output shaft, which is mounted in alignment with the drive shaft. The rotor is rotatably connected to the drive shaft. Half a revolution of the drive shaft and thus also of the rotor corresponds to a weaving machine cycle.
The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of exemplary embodiments illustrated in the drawings.

The transmission designed according to the invention is arranged between the drive shaft (2) and the output shaft (3). The drive shaft (2) and the output shaft (3) are rotatably mounted in alignment in the gear housing (1). At the end of the drive shaft (2), the rotor (4) is rotatably connected to it. A sun gear (5) is connected to the gear housing (1) in a rotationally fixed and aligned manner with the drive shaft (2). A planet gear (6) with a center (7), which is in meshing engagement with the sun gear (5), is rotatably mounted in the rotor (4). The planet gear (6) has half the number of teeth from the sun gear (5), so that the planet gear (6) rotates a full revolution of 360 ° when the rotor (4) makes a half revolution of 180 °.
A complementary cam disc (8) with a center (9) is attached to the planet gear (6) eccentrically at a distance E1 from the center (7) of the planet gear (6). The center (9) of the complementary cam disk (9) moves on an epicycloid cam track, while the planet gear (6) circles around the sun gear (5). With the cam profile (10), the cam roller (12) and with the cam profile (11), the cam roller (13) has positive contact and the cam roller len (12, 13) are rotatably attached to the gear member (14). The gear member (14) is connected to the output shaft (3) in a rotationally fixed manner.
The embodiment shown in FIG. 3 basically has the same structure as the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2. Instead of the sun gear, an internally toothed ring gear (20) is used, which is in mesh with a gear (21). The gear (21) has half the number of teeth from the ring gear (20) and is rotatably mounted in the rotor (22). With a half turn of 180 ° of the rotor (22), the gear (21) makes a full rotation of 360 °. A complementary cam (23) with center (24) is mounted eccentrically at a distance E2 from the center (25) of the gear (21). The center (24) of the complementary cam (23) moves on a hypocycloidal cam track, while the gear (21) circles in the ring gear (20).
With the cam profile (26), the cam roller (28) and with the cam profile (27), the cam roller (29) has positive contact and the cam rollers (28, 29) are fixed to the gear link (30) in a rotationally fixed manner, while the gear link (30) is in turn connected to the drive shaft (3) in a rotationally fixed manner.
