Description

It is common to use table mats in restaurants consisting of a sheet intended to be placed on a table.

The object of the present invention is to simplify the work of preparing the tables for meals and, consequently, to save time.

To this end, the invention relates to a table set comprising at least one object forming part of a table cover, this object being detachably retained from said sheet.

The accompanying drawing shows schematically and by way of example an embodiment of the table set, object of the invention.

Fig. 1 shows the placemat in the unfolded state.

Fig. 2 shows the partially folded table set.

The table set consists of a rectangular sheet 1, made of relatively thick paper. This sheet 1 has fold lines 2, 3 and 4, as well as two flaps 5 and 6 which can be folded down on the central part of the sheet, by pivoting on the fold lines 2 and 4.

The shutter 5 has two closed slots 7 and 8 which are parallel and define between them a tongue 9 under which a table napkin 10 made of paper and folded is slipped.

Two other slots 11 and 12, shorter than the first, are arranged on the tongue 9 to allow a toothpick 13 to be inserted therein, wrapped in a transparent bag 14.

On the flap 6 are still fixed, for example by a point of glue, a bag 15 of salt, a bag 16 of pepper and a damp towel 17 refreshing.

Fig. 2 shows the table set after the flaps 5 and 6 have been folded down on sheet 1. Then this sheet can still be folded in half around line 3 so that the set occupies only a small area, for example 20 cm x 30 cm.

The table set described is very advantageous for restaurants, because in a single operation, the set is placed on the table accompanied by one or more objects forming part of a table cover.

It is obvious that many modifications can be envisaged. In particular, the napkin could be retained on the sheet by any other means, for example by gluing or adhesive material, by stapling or simply by clamping between the sheet 1 and a folded flap. We could also make a simplified set comprising for example only one of the objects forming part of a table cover. It is also possible to complete the set with other objects, for example a candy, a chocolate bar, etc.

It goes without saying that the placemat can be an attractive advertising medium, so that the advertisements printed on the placemats can cover the costs of manufacturing them.

Claims (6)

Claims 1. Table set, in particular for restaurants, consisting of a sheet intended to be placed on a table, characterized in that it comprises at least one object forming part of a table cover, this object being detachably retained at said sheet. 2. Set according to claim 1, characterized in that said object consists of at least one of the following objects: paper towel, toothpick, sachet of salt and / or pepper, knife, fork, spoon, refreshing towel, candy , chocolate. 3. Set according to claim 2, characterized in that the sheet has two parallel closed slots, defining between them a tongue under which the folded towel is slid. 4. Set according to claim 3, characterized in that the sheet still has two other parallel slots shorter than the first to allow sliding a toothpick. 5. Set according to claim 4, characterized in that the other two slots are arranged on said tongue. 6.
