Abstract

The learning system consists of a plastics box (fig. 1-3) and seven plastics dividers (fig. 4) holding a maximum of about 500 cards. These cards may be removed from and replaced in the box individually or in batches. The dividers held in the side slots permit any desired division of the total box capacity into eight sections of arbitrary sizes. The 10-15 cards on the foot of the divider are removed from the unit by lifting the dividers by the side projections so that they can be grasped through the thumb-index recesses in the divider. The divider then drops back into its original or a new position in the box. The depression in the bottom prevents the cards from sliding beneath the dividers. To protect the system from soiling and the effects of the weather and to prevent the cards from falling out, the entire unit may be slid into a purpose-designed artificial leather case which can comfortably be carried by its cord.

  Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Vorrichtung gemäss den Merkmalen des Patentanspruchs 1 zur Unterstützung von Oberstufenschüler und Erwachsenen beim Lernen. 



  Die Vorrichtung besteht grundsätzlich aus einer Box aus Kunststoff (Fig. 1-3), sieben Trennwänden aus Kunststoff (Fig. 4), maximal 500 Papierkärtchen und einer Nylonhülle mit Traglasche. 



  Die Art und Weise sich Wissen anzueignen, indem man auf der einen Seite des Kärtchens eine Frage notiert, und auf der andern Seite die dazugehörende Antwort schreibt, und dann repetierend diese Frage versucht aus dem Gedächtnis zu beantworten, ist nichts Neues. Das Besondere an dieser Vorrichtung ist jedoch die Formgebung und das funktionale Zusammenwirken der einzelnen Teile. Mit diesem Lernsystem ist gewährleistet, dass einerseits systematisch und dadurch mit mehr Erfolg gelernt wird, aber anderseits die Möglichkeit frei und flexibel den Lernprozess zu gestalten nicht aufgegeben werden muss. 



  Bei der Anwendung dieses Systems wird so vorgegangen, dass die lernende Person ein oder mehrere Kärtchen beschreibt und diese anschliessend ganz vorne im System, mit der Seite des Kärtchens mit der notierten Frage gegen sich gerichtet, in die Box einstellt. Somit sind diese Kärtchen fürs repetierende Lernen im System bereit. 



  Sind die Kärtchen einmal in der Box so kann mit dem systematischen Lernen begonnen werden, indem Kärtchen um Kärtchen aus den verschiedenen Kammern von hinten nach vorne, also in jeder Kammer das älteste Kärtchen zuerst, aus dem System gehoben wird. Kann auf die darauf geschriebene Frage aus dem Gedächtnis die korrekte Antwort formuliert werden, so wird anschliessend das Kärtchen in der nächst folgenden Kammer vorne wieder eingestellt. Kann keine korrekte Antwort formuliert werden so muss das Kärtchen wieder vorne in der gleichen Kammer eingestellt werden. Dies heisst, dass ohne Erfolg auch kein Fortschritt im System gemacht wird. 



  Mit den sieben Trennwänden kann die gesamte Boxenkapazität nach Bedarf in verschieden grosse Kammern eingeteilt werden. Die Trennwände dienen auch zur Heraushebung und Vorbereitung einiger Kärtchen. 



  Die Aufteilung der Boxenkapazität in Kammern mit den Trennwänden ist so vorgesehen, dass die Kammern 1 bis 6 als Speicher dienen für diejenigen Kärtchen, welche für das Lernen zur Verfügung stehen. Sind die Kärtchen in der sechsten Kammer angelangt, so hat der Anwender die Fragen fünf mal richtig beantwortet und können aus dem System genommen werden. Die siebte Kammer ist als Pufferkammer vorgesehen und soll leer bleiben. Die achte und hinterste Kammer dient zur Speicherung von Reserve-Kärtchen. 



   Wird mit dem System nicht gearbeitet, oder will man es herumtragen, so soll es in die Nylonhülle geschoben werden, um die Kärtchen vor dem Herausfallen zu sichern sowie das gesamte System vor Umwelteinflüssen zu schützen. 



  Die Erfindung ist nachstehend mit Bezugnahme auf die Zeichnungen näher erläutert: 
 
   Fig. 1 eine Box als Speichervorrichtung welche mit Hilfe der Seitenwand-Schlitzung in Kammern eingeteilt werden kann, als Obenansicht dargestellt.

  The invention relates to a device according to the features of claim 1 for supporting high school students and adults in learning.



  The device basically consists of a box made of plastic (Fig. 1-3), seven plastic dividers (Fig. 4), a maximum of 500 paper cards and a nylon sleeve with a carrying strap.



  The way to acquire knowledge by noting a question on one side of the card and writing the answer on the other, and then repetitively trying to answer that question from memory is nothing new. What is special about this device, however, is the shape and the functional interaction of the individual parts. With this learning system it is guaranteed that on the one hand systematic and therefore more successful learning takes place, but on the other hand the possibility to design the learning process freely and flexibly does not have to be given up.



  When using this system, the learners describe one or more cards and then place them in the box at the very front of the system, with the side of the card with the noted question facing them. So these cards are ready for repetitive learning in the system.



  Once the cards are in the box, systematic learning can be started by lifting cards from card to card from the various chambers from back to front, i.e. the oldest card in each chamber first. If the correct answer to the question written on it can be formulated from memory, the card is then re-inserted in the next chamber at the front. If a correct answer cannot be formulated, the card must be placed in the front of the same chamber again. This means that no progress will be made in the system without success.



  With the seven partition walls, the entire box capacity can be divided into different sized compartments as required. The partitions also serve to lift out and prepare some cards.



  The division of the box capacity into chambers with the dividing walls is provided in such a way that chambers 1 to 6 serve as a memory for those cards which are available for learning. When the cards have reached the sixth chamber, the user has answered the questions correctly five times and can be removed from the system. The seventh chamber is intended as a buffer chamber and should remain empty. The eighth and rearmost chamber is used to store reserve cards.



   If the system is not being used or if you want to carry it around, it should be pushed into the nylon sleeve to prevent the cards from falling out and to protect the entire system from environmental influences.



  The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings:

Claims

1. Device for systematic learning with question / answer cards, stored in a plastic box provided with partitions, characterized in that the rectangular box has slots on the two longitudinal side walls for receiving the partitions.

2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the longitudinal side walls of the box have a taper downwards to ensure that partitions protrude from the slots.

3. Device according to claim 1 and 2, characterized in that the taper is formed in the lower part of the longitudinal side walls in such a way as to enable the fingers to be raised to raise the inserted partition walls.

4. Device according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the box bottom has a recess for lowering the partition wall foot.

Device according to claims 1 to 4, characterized in that a number of partitions for chamber formation and for removing cards can be inserted into the slots.
