Abstract

The moulding made of weldable plastics for pipes has at least one sleeve (2) which has one smooth end surfacem (5) for connecting to a pipe or other moulding by fusion welding. The outer periphery of the sleeve has a flange (6) for fixing the moulding (1) in a welder (10). The distance (L) between the flange and the end (4) of the pipe is big enough - at least 20 millimetres - for the flange to be positioned outside the heating-part of the sleeve-part during welding. USE/ADVANTAGE - The moulding can be held immovably during welding.

Description

       

  
 



  Die Erfindung betrifft ein Formteil aus schweissbarem Kunststoff, wie es im Oberbegriff von Anspruch 1 gekennzeichnet ist. 



  Formteile aus Kunststoff wie z.B. Winkel, Bögen, Muffen oder T-Stücke weisen meist zylindrische oder leicht konische Muffenpartien auf. 



  Sollen derartige Formteile mit Rohren oder anderen Formteilen mittels Schweissung an ihrem stirnseitigen Ende verbunden werden, können diese nicht  aufgrund  der  kurzen  Muffenpartie  in  dem für die Rohre vorgesehenen Spannteil einer Schweissvorrichtung gehalten werden (siehe EP-A 20 284 834). 



  Für eine einwandfreie Schweissung mittels eines in vorgehend genannter Schrift beschriebenen Schweissverfahrens ist es jedoch erforderlich, dass das Formteil beim gegenseitigen Verbinden mittels Schweissung, in der Schweissvorrichtung derart in der Lage fixiert ist bzw.  sind, dass die stirnseitigen Enden beider Teile aneinanderliegen, und dass ein Verschieben des Formteiles durch den entstehenden Schweissdruck nicht möglich ist. 



  Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist es, ein Formteil der eingangs genannten Art zu schaffen, welches beim Schweissen in einer fixierten, nicht verschiebbaren Lage gehalten werden kann. 



  Erfindungsgemäss wird diese Aufgabe durch die kennzeichnenden Merkmale von Anspruch 1 gelöst. 



  Besonders vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen der Erfindung sind in den abhängigen Ansprüchen gekennzeichnet. 



  Die Erfindung ist in den beiliegenden Zeichnungen beispielsweise dargestellt und nachfolgend beschrieben. 



  Es zeigen: 
 
   Fig. 1 ein als T-Stück ausgebildetes Formteil im Schnitt und 
   Fig. 2 eine Teilansicht eines als Gehäuse ausgebildeten Formteils mit einer schematisch dargestellten Schweissvorrichtung. 
 



  Die Fig. 1 zeigt ein als T-Stück 1a ausgebildetes Formteil 1 aus einem schweissbaren Kunststoff, wie z.B. aus Polyvinylidenfluorid, Ethylen-Chlortrifluorethylen oder ähnlichen Kunststoffen. 



  Am Formteil 1 sind Muffenpartien 2 angeordnet, wobei jede der am Aussenumfang 3 zylindrisch ausgebildeten Muffenpartien 2 an ihrem Ende 4 eine gerade Stirnfläche 5 aufweist. Am Aussenumfang 3 der Muffenpartie 2 ist mit  einem Abstand L von der Stirnfläche 5 ein Bund 6 angeordnet. Der Bund 6 ist im Querschnitt viereckig, vorzugsweise rechteckig oder quadratisch ausgebildet und weist beidseits stirnseitig Anlageflächen 7 auf. 



  Die Fig. 2 zeigt in Teilansicht ein Formteil 2, welches als Gehäuse 1b eines Ventils oder einer Armatur ausgebildet ist und eine wie zu Fig. 1 beschriebene Muffenpartie 2 aufweist. Das Formteil 1 wird mittels einer Schweissvorrichtung 10 durch eine Schmelz-Schweissung mit einem Rohr 20 fest verbunden, wobei die Stirnseite 5 der Muffenpartie während des Schweissvorganges an die Stirnseite des Rohres 20 anliegend gehalten wird. 



  Die Schweissvorrichtung 10 weist mittig Heizbacken 11 und beidseits davon Haltebacken 12 auf, welche durch ein Medium kühlbar sind. 



  Die Haltebacken 12 weisen eine Ringnute 13 auf, in welcher der Bund 6 des Formteils 1 beim Schweissvorgang angeordnet ist. Dadurch wird das Formteil 1 in der Schweissvorrichtung 10 in fixierter Lage gehalten, wobei der Abstand L des Bundes 6 so gross ist, dass die Stirnfläche 5 in der Mitte der Heizzone 14 und der Bund 6 in der Kühlzone 15 ausserhalb des Erwärmungsbereiches der Muffenpartie 2 zu liegen kommt. Dadurch bleibt der Kunststoff im Bereich des Bundes 6 fest, so dass die durch die Ausdehnung des Schmelzmateriales entstehenden axialen Kräfte beim Schweissvorgang ohne Verformung der Muffenpartie aufgenommen werden. Vorzugsweise beträgt der Abstand L des Bundes 6 mindestens 20 mm, bzw. ist meist gleich oder etwas grösser als der Aussendurchmesser der Muffenpartie 2. 



   Beide Haltebacken 12 weisen Ringnuten 13 auf, so dass  auch zwei mit Bunden 6 versehene Formteile mit der Schweissvorrichtung 10, wie vorstehend beschrieben, fest und ohne Deformierung miteinander verschweissbar sind. 



  Wird, wie aus Fig. 2 ersichtlich, ein Rohr 20 mit einem Formteil 1 verschweisst, so wird das Rohr 20 in einer weiter nicht dargestellten Rohrspannvorrichtung festgehalten. 



  Das Formteil kann ein Fitting, wie z.B. gemäss Fig. 1 ein T-Stück oder auch ein Winkel, Bogen, eine Muffe, Reduziermuffe, eine Flanschmuffe oder ein Verschraubungsteil, sein. 



  Es kann auch gemäss Fig. 2 ein Gehäuse eines Ventils oder einer Armatur sein, wobei dann das fertig montierte Ventil mit einem Fitting oder einem Rohr durch Schweissung verbindbar ist.

  If such molded parts are to be connected to pipes or other molded parts by welding at their front ends, they cannot be held in the clamping part of a welding device provided for the pipes due to the short socket part (see EP-A 20 284 834).



  For a perfect welding by means of a welding process described in the above-mentioned document, however, it is necessary that the molded part is or are fixed in the welding device in such a way that the ends of the two parts lie against one another, and that a Moving the molded part is not possible due to the resulting welding pressure.



  The object of the present invention is to provide a molded part of the type mentioned at the outset which can be held in a fixed, non-displaceable position during welding.



  According to the invention, this object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1.



  Particularly advantageous embodiments of the invention are characterized in the dependent claims.

  1 shows a molded part 1 made of a weldable plastic, such as e.g. made of polyvinylidene fluoride, ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene or similar plastics.



  Socket sections 2 are arranged on the molded part 1, each of the socket sections 2 having a cylindrical design on the outer circumference 3 having a straight end face 5 at its end 4. A collar 6 is arranged on the outer circumference 3 of the socket section 2 at a distance L from the end face 5. The collar 6 is quadrangular in cross-section, preferably rectangular or square, and has contact surfaces 7 on both sides at the front.



  FIG. 2 shows a partial view of a molded part 2, which is designed as a housing 1b of a valve or a fitting and has a socket section 2 as described for FIG. 1. The molded part 1 is firmly connected by means of a welding device 10 by means of fusion welding to a pipe 20, the end face 5 of the socket part being held against the end face of the pipe 20 during the welding process.



  The welding device 10 has heating jaws 11 in the center and holding jaws 12 on both sides thereof, which can be cooled by a medium.



  The holding jaws 12 have an annular groove 13 in which the collar 6 of the molded part 1 is arranged during the welding process. As a result, the molded part 1 is held in a fixed position in the welding device 10, the distance L of the collar 6 being so great that the end face 5 in the middle of the heating zone 14 and the collar 6 in the cooling zone 15 outside the heating area of the socket section 2 comes to lie. As a result, the plastic remains firm in the region of the collar 6, so that the axial forces which arise as a result of the expansion of the melting material are absorbed during the welding process without deformation of the socket part. The distance L of the collar 6 is preferably at least 20 mm, or is usually the same or slightly larger than the outer diameter of the socket section 2.



   Both holding jaws 12 have annular grooves 13, so that two shaped parts provided with collars 6 can also be welded to one another with the welding device 10, as described above, firmly and without deformation.



  If, as can be seen from FIG. 2, a pipe 20 is welded to a molded part 1, the pipe 20 is held in a pipe clamping device, not shown.



  The molded part can be a fitting, e.g. 1 a T-piece or an angle, elbow, a sleeve, reducing sleeve, a flange sleeve or a screw part.



  According to FIG. 2, it can also be a housing of a valve or a fitting, in which case the fully assembled valve can then be connected to a fitting or a pipe by welding.


    

Claims (4)

1. Formteil aus schweissbarem Kunststoff für Rohrleitungssysteme mit mindestens einer Muffenpartie, welche am Ende eine ebene Stirnfläche zum Verbinden mit einem Rohr oder einem weiteren Formteil mittels einer Schmelz-Schweissung aufweist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Muffenpartie (2) am Aussenumfang (3) einen Bund (6) zur Fixierung des Formteils (1) in einer Schweissvorrichtung (10) aufweist, dessen Abstand (L) vom stirnseitigen Ende (4) so gross ist, dass er ausserhalb des Erwärmungsbereiches der Muffenpartie (2) beim Schweissen angeordnet ist.       1. Formteil nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Abstand (L) mindestens 20 mm beträgt. 3.
