Fig. 4 einen Teilquerschnitt durch den Verschlusskörper in Schliess- und Dichtstellung; die Darstellungen nach den Fig. 3 und 4 sind gegenüber der Darstellung nach den Fig. 1 und 2 in einem vergrösserten Massstab wiedergegeben;
Fig. 5 einen Längsschnitt durch ein Schiebeventil einer zweiten Ausführungsvariante, wobei hier der Verschlusskörper in Schliessstellung gezeigt ist;

The invention relates to a slide valve according to the preamble of claim 1.
Sliding valves of this type are known. With these sliding valves, the closure body is displaced in its plane within the valve housing, specifically from an open position into a closed position and vice versa. In addition, in the closed position, the counter element with the expansion elements as part of the closure body is displaced or rotated relative to the sealing plate, as a result of which the closure body changes from its closed position to the sealing position. As a result of the aforementioned displacement or rotary movement of the parts forming the closure body (sealing plate and counter element), these parts are pushed apart in the axial direction.
In order to be able to carry out the above-mentioned movements, a lever system is provided within the valve housing in the known valve constructions, which lever system can be activated from the outside by an actuating rod which can be moved axially and through the valve housing. Due to the axial displacement of the actuating rod, the levers of the lever system are pivoted against one another, which in turn thereby move the closure body from its open position into the closed position and then into the sealing position or vice versa. Either an axially displaceable threaded rod or a piston rod of a piston-cylinder unit serves as the actuating rod, which is guided through the valve housing, in particular the valve cover. Other adjustment mechanisms are also conceivable and have already been used.
Regardless of the type of design of this actuating rod, a correspondingly large space or space must be provided for the lever system within the valve housing. The individual levers of the lever system are connected to each other via hinges. Sliding friction occurs in these hinges when the levers move. In high vacuum systems where there is no lubricant, such friction conditions should be avoided as far as possible, since parts in high vacuum that slide against each other or against each other, especially when they are still loaded, are cold welded. Levers of lever systems are also components that cannot be designed as turned parts and are therefore expensive to manufacture.
The invention now aims to remedy the disadvantages shown. In particular, the invention aims to provide as few parts as possible for the displacement and for the spreading of the closure body, to construct these in a structurally simple manner and to arrange them in such a way that small adjustment paths lead to large displacement movements. Hinges should be avoided as much as possible, furthermore the devices necessary for the displacement of the closure body should be designed to be as space-saving as possible so that the valve housing can be kept small, in other words, a compact construction is aimed at compared to conventional designs. The tolerances required for the components should not be too narrow, which has a favorable effect on the manufacturing costs.
In addition, only turned parts should be provided for the individual components as far as possible.
The solution to this complex problem now lies in the group of features according to the characterizing part of patent claim 1, by means of which the tasks outlined above can be solved in an outstanding manner.
The drawing illustrates exemplary embodiments of the invention. Show it:
1 and 2 show a longitudinal section through one and the same slide valve, the closure body being shown in the open position in the first case and in the closed position in FIG. 2;
3 shows a partial cross section through the closure body which has been moved into the closed position;
4 shows a partial cross section through the closure body in the closed and sealing position; the representations according to FIGS. 3 and 4 are shown on an enlarged scale compared to the representation according to FIGS. 1 and 2;
5 shows a longitudinal section through a slide valve of a second embodiment variant, the closure body being shown here in the closed position;
6 shows a partial cross section through the closure body in the sealing position in the slide valve according to FIG. 5.
The slide valve in its first embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 4 has a valve housing 1, the open end of which is closed by a valve housing cover 2. The valve through openings 3 are delimited by connecting flanges 4. The closure body 5, which is displaceably mounted in this valve housing 1, consists of the sealing plate 6, the support plate 7 and the interposed counter element 8, which has a plurality of cage-like chambers 9 on a bolt circle, in which balls 10 are mounted in pairs as expansion elements. In the mutually facing rear sides 11 and 12 of the sealing plate 6 and the support plate 7 there are depressions 13 and 14 in the hole circle of the chambers 9, which are shown in FIG. 4 by dashed lines. These depressions merge into inclined planes along the hole circle mentioned.
A sealing ring 15 is also arranged on the sealing plate 6. A plurality of axially parallel bolts 16 arranged within the bolt circle of the chambers 5, which each pass through a compression spring 17, hold together the parts forming the closure body 5, which are pressed together by the springs 17. Via a spherical ring 18 as a roller bearing, the counter element 8 carries a guide disk 19, which has on its one edge 20 facing the valve housing 1 freely rotatable, preferably somewhat oblique rollers 21 which bear in a leading manner on the inside of the valve housing 1.
A stop 22 is provided on the inside of the valve housing 1 opposite the valve housing cover 2.
Sealing plate 6, support plate 7 and counter element 8 are designed as circular disks and have circumferential grooves 23, 24 and 25. The outside diameter of the counter element 8 is smaller than the outside diameter of the sealing plate 6 and the support plate 7, the outside diameters of which are, however, the same.
The counter element 8 is wrapped by a flexible tension member, here a wire rope 26, which is received by the grooves 24 and which is fixed to this counter element 8 by means of a suitable anchor 27. The two free dreams 26 min and 26 min min of the wire rope 26, the lengths of which correspond in total to at least the adjustment path Vv of the closure body 5, are guided parallel to one another and in opposite directions and with their ends at the ends of a push rod which can be displaced axially in the valve housing 1 28 attached. This push rod 28 is connected to the piston rod 29 of a piston 30 which is displaceably mounted in a cylinder 31 by means of a suitable pressure medium. The cylinder 31 is fastened in a suitable form on the valve housing cover 2.
The sealing plate 6 and the support plate 7 are each wrapped by a flexible tension member, here also by a wire rope 32 and 33, the respective free dreams of 32 min and 32 min, the length of which corresponds in total to at least the adjustment path Vv of the closure body 5 , anchored at their ends to the ends of rails 34 and 35 arranged in a fixed manner in the valve housing 1, these strands resting on the respective rails 34 and 35 over most of their length. In the area that is adjacent to the through openings 3 of the valve housing 1, the support planes of these rails 34 and 35 are set back somewhat relative to the wire cables 32 and 33 they carry, so that the dreams of the wire cables 32, 33 are freely tensioned in this area and without Support run.
The wire cables 32 and 33 are also anchored with their looping parts to the sealing plate 6 and the support plate 7, respectively. Such an anchor 36 is indicated in FIGS. 1 and 2.
The push rod 28 is arranged between the rails 34 and 35 and guided on these rails. It can also be seen from the figures that the guide disk 19 is guided on that side of the valve housing 1 which is opposite the push rod 28 or the rails 34 and 35.
Starting from Fig. 1, which shows the slide valve open, the sequence of movements when closing and sealing the valve will now be explained. In the open position of the slide valve, the closure body 5 assumes the position vis-à-vis the valve housing 1 shown in FIG. 1. The parts forming the closure body 5 lie relative to one another, as shown in the cross-sectional illustration in FIG. 3. Due to the action of the compression springs 17, the sealing plate 6 and the support plate 7 are axially contracted, the balls 10 serving as expansion elements lie in the recesses 13, with the result that the sealing plate 6 and the support plate 7 take the smallest possible axial distance from one another, so that the closure body 5 is within the Housing 1 is movable.
In order to move the closure body 5 into the closed position (FIG. 2), the piston 30 is acted on, so that it moves to the left and thereby pushes the push rod 28 in the same direction. This movement of the push rod 28 now acts on the counter element 8 wrapped in the wire cable 26 as if the point 37 was pulled in a horizontal direction with a force directed to the left. Since the support plate 7 and also the sealing plate 6 are held and guided in a form-fitting manner by the wire cables 32 and 33 wrapping around them, the closure body 5 now rolls around the point 38 on the rails 34 and 35. Since the radius of the rolling movement of the closure body 5 and the radius of the point of application (37) of the tensile force are different from one another, the adjustment paths of the push rod 28 and the closure body 5 are different.
The transmission ratio is given by: Ü = R / (Rr), where R is the rolling radius or half the diameter of the sealing plate 6 or the support plate 7 and r the distance of the point 37 from the central axis 39 of the closure body 5. The adjustment path Vv des Closure body 5 and the displacement Vk of the piston 30 are shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. The quotient of these two variables Vv / Vk corresponds to the above-mentioned transmission ratio Ü.
If, as a result of the aforementioned sliding movement, the closure body 5 has moved so far to the left that the guide disk 19 abuts the stop 22, the displacement movement of the closure body 5 is ended. The position of the parts forming the closure body 5 relative to one another can be seen from FIG. 3. In this position, the closure body 5 or its sealing plate and its support plate 7 are carried by those sections of the wire cables 32 and 33 which here run freely over the rails 34 and 35.
If the push rod 28 is now moved further to the left, the counter-element 8 is thereby rotated relative to the now fixed plates 6 and 7, with the result that the balls 10 acting as expansion elements are pushed out of their recess and guided onto the inclined paths with the As a result, the sealing plate 6 and the support plate 7 are pressed outward against the force exerted by the springs 17 and press against the edges of the through openings 3 of the valve housing 1 and thereby seal the valve. This movement causes a slight axial offset of the plates 6 and 7 mentioned.
The plates 6 and 7 can easily follow this offset movement, since in this position they are only supported by the freely tensioned sections of the wire cables 32 and 33, in this area there is therefore no more area or line contact with the rails 34 and 35 have.
If the valve is to be opened, the movements described roll in the opposite direction.
From the above it can be seen that a lever mechanism can be dispensed with entirely, so that the valve housing 1 is very compact. Nevertheless, there is a large gear ratio, so that the actual adjusting element (piston-cylinder unit 30-31) can also be made small. Despite the smallness of this adjusting member, large closing forces can be applied, since the ratio of r (radial distance of the point of application 37) to the radius of the bolt circle of the expansion elements (balls 10) can be selected within wide limits. The size of the closing force that can be applied is determined by the ratio of these radii.
In the exemplary embodiment shown, the piston rod 29 is guided through the valve housing cover 2 via a simple seal 43. If a valve of this type is used in vacuum systems, a bellows seal must be provided here. Due to the small displacement (Vk) of the actuator, a small, stable bellows can be used, which is another advantage of this construction.
In the embodiment shown, the closure body 5 also has a support plate 7, which cooperates with the inner edge of the one through opening 3 when the valve is closed. In principle, it would be possible to dispense with this support plate 7 and to allow the expansion elements, which are embodied here as balls 10, to act on this edge on one side, as is also the case with the slide valve according to German Patent 3 209 217. In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the guide disc 19 is equipped with freely rotatable rollers 21 on the edge. In principle, it is possible to form this guide disk 19 in the form of a ring, as is shown by the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 5 and 6.
In this case, a guide rail 40 is provided in the valve housing 1 with a longitudinal groove 41, in which the edge of the annular guide disk 19 rolls on the side facing away from the push rod 28 when the closure body 5 is displaced.
Another advantageous embodiment of the invention is that the rails 34 and 35, the guide rail 40 and the valve housing cover 2 and a frame leg 42 supporting the stop 22 form a unitary component in the form of a stable frame. If revision work on the slide valve is necessary, the screws of the valve housing cover 2 are loosened and the entire valve mechanism can be pulled out of the housing 1 and can thus be checked with regard to its operating state and its functionality outside the valve housing.
In the description of the exemplary embodiments discussed above, it was stated for the flexible tension members 26, 32 and 33 that they are wire ropes. Instead of such wire ropes, wires with massive cross sections can also be used, chains are also conceivable, as are flat belts, the latter having a favorable bending stress. If the plates 6 and 7 in the described exemplary embodiments are also guided with and on flexible tension members, it is possible and conceivable to provide the plates 6 and 7 with a toothed ring at the edges and to design the rails 34 and 35 arranged in the valve housing 1 as racks. Such an embodiment is less expedient for use in high vacuum systems, since in the closed position the plates 6 and 7 also have to be adjusted axially in order to seal the valve.
Compared to conventional valve designs, the above statements show that the construction according to the invention can be designed to be extraordinarily simple and compact, which is the aim and task of the invention to achieve.
