The present invention relates to a spout on a container according to the preamble of claim 1.
Known containers or bags, preferably made of a thermoplastic plastic, for packaging pourable goods, such as powders or liquids, and for packaging pastes, are usually designed as so-called disposable packs. Such packaging units are either tightly closed and must be torn open, cut open or pierced to remove their contents, or they have the known screw cap. The first category includes, for example, beverage packaging for milk, fruit juices, etc., as well as refill bags for spice. A typical example of the second type with screw cap are tubes for toothpaste, cosmetics, etc.
The packaging units of the first type cannot be closed again after opening. This may play a subordinate role in typical refill packs, the entire contents of which are only refilled for refilling a container. Wherever smaller or larger portions of the total content of the packaging unit are removed periodically, there is a need for a tight seal in order to eliminate the known disadvantages of unintentional emptying and uncontrolled pouring. Containers, such as tubes or bottles, which are provided with a screw cap, have the disadvantage that at least two individual pieces have to be produced which have to be connected to one another before or after the container has been filled.
In addition to the additional work resulting from this, this procedure involves a certain risk of bacterial contamination, which must be excluded, particularly when the container is used in the therapeutic sector.
It is therefore the object of the present invention to provide a spout on a container with which the aforementioned disadvantages do not occur.
This object is achieved by the present invention in accordance with the features listed in the characterizing part of patent claim 1.
The gas and liquid-tight, one-piece spout on a container is particularly suitable for sterilization, pasteurization or for aseptic fillings. The spout can advantageously be used on containers of any kind, such as bags, tubes, bottles or tetra packs. The unopened condition of the spout can be recognized immediately from new packs. This gives the buyer a guarantee of the hygienically perfect condition of the content.
The invention is described below with reference to exemplary embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings. Show it:
1 shows the view of a first embodiment of the spout according to the invention before it is opened for the first time,
2 shows a section through the reclosed spout according to FIG. 1,
3 shows a section through a second embodiment of a spout before it is opened for the first time,
Fig. 4 is a plan view of the spout according to FIGS. 3 and
5 shows a view of a third embodiment of a spout before it is opened for the first time.
A first embodiment of the spout 1 according to the invention is shown as a view in FIG. 1. The spout 1, preferably made in one piece from a thermoplastic, comprises a pouring part 2 and a closure part 3. Both parts are connected to one another in a gas-tight and liquid-tight manner. The tubular pouring part 2 has in the region of its one open end 6 an extension 18 which is intended for connection, for example by welding or gluing to a container. In further embodiments, not shown, it is readily conceivable that the extension 18 itself is shaped into a container. The closure part 3 is arranged on the end 7 of the pouring part 2 opposite the open end.
The connection point between the two parts is designed as a predetermined breaking point 5 from a region of very thin-walled material for easy separation of the closure part 3 from the pouring part 2 when the pouring spout is opened for the first time. The closure part 3 is essentially a hollow cylindrical cover closed on one side, the outer wall 19 of which has notches 20 which are distributed uniformly over the circumference and extend in the longitudinal direction of the spout, for gripping and rotating the closure part 3. A closure means 4 with an opening 8 likewise closed on one side is arranged essentially concentrically to the wall 19 within the hollow cylindrical closure part 3.
The opening 8 has an internal thread 9 which, after the closure part 3 has been separated from the pouring part 2, can be brought into engagement with a corresponding thread 10 present on the outside of the latter for reclosing the pouring opening formed at the end 7 after tearing off.
The reclosed state of the spout 1 according to FIG. 1 is shown in FIG. 2. The closing part 3 overlaps with its opening 8 a region of the pouring part 2 adjoining the end 7. At the closed end of the opening 8 there is a truncated cone-shaped sealing lip 15. The sealing lip 15 penetrates into the opening of the pouring part 2 in order to seal the end 7. After the first opening of the spout 1, the closure part 3 can be screwed onto the pouring part 2 and removed as often as desired. The pouring part 2 allows a metered removal of the contents from the container thanks to its tubular design.
Another preferred embodiment of a spout 1 is shown in FIGS. 3 and 4. FIG. 3 shows a section through the spout 1 before it is opened for the first time, and FIG. 4 shows a corresponding supervision thereof. Functionally identical parts to the described spout according to FIGS. 1 and 2 are identified by the same reference numerals. The main distinguishing features of the second embodiment of a spout described here compared to the previously described first embodiment are that this spout has a bayonet lock instead of a screw closure and that the closure part 3 has two opposing wings 21 instead of a hollow cylindrical cover that is closed on one side for gripping and turning.
The spout 1, which was produced in one piece before the first opening, likewise has a spout part 2 and a closure part 3, which are connected to one another via the predetermined breaking point 5. The closure part 3 has a cylindrical shaft 26 which comprises a concentric opening 8 which is closed on one side. On the inner surface of the opening 8 there are two opposing grooves 11 which run essentially in the longitudinal direction of the spout. The grooves are accessible from the open end 8 and extend at least over a partial area adjacent to the opening mentioned. Each of the grooves 11 has an angled inner end which extends at least around the groove width in approximately the direction of the circumference, preferably directed slightly obliquely to the opening 8.
The outside of the pouring part 2 has at least two knobs 13 distributed over the circumference, which are designed in their arrangement and in their dimensions such that they can be brought into engagement with the grooves 11 after the closure part 3 has been torn off the pouring part 2 and after Depressing and slightly rotating the closure part 3 in the direction of the angled ends 12 produce a snap-in effect and seal the end 7 of the pouring part 2 tightly as previously described. This spout can also be closed and opened any number of times after the first tearing off or twisting off of the closure part 3. To form the wings 21, four tabs 22, which are arranged in a tagential manner and extend approximately over the length of the cylindrical shaft 26, project obliquely outwards and are connected to one another in their end regions 23.
A third embodiment of the spout according to the invention is shown in FIG. 5. As in the previously described embodiments, this spout 1 also consists of a tubular spout part 2 and a closure part 3 having closure means 4. The two parts 2, 3 are likewise connected to one another in a gas-tight and liquid-tight manner via a predetermined breaking point 5 made of thin-walled material. In contrast to the previously described embodiments, this embodiment is characterized in that the closure means 4 can be inserted into the opening 16 of the spout part 2 after the spout 1 has been opened for the first time by unscrewing the closure part 3. In the example shown, the closure means 4 are designed as pins 17, one end of which is connected to the rotary handle 24 and the other end of which has sawtooth-shaped sealing rings 25.
Further embodiments of the present invention are conceivable. For example, the pin 17 could have an external thread and the opening 16 of the pouring part 2 could have a corresponding internal thread. In all the embodiments, it is also always possible that the expansion 18 present at the end 6 of the pouring part 2 opening into the container is either tightly connected, for example welded, to a separately manufactured container or that the expansion 18 itself represents a container.
