Darin zeigt:
Fig. 1 einen Axialschnitt durch eine erste Ausführungsform,
Fig. 4 einen Axialschnitt durch ein hydrostatisches Lager.
An ultrasound processing machine with an ultrasound processing tool according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from DE-OS 3 617 790. This tool consists of a converter with two piezoelectric disks, which absorb axial vibrations of e.g. Generate 20 kHz. A sonotrode with a tool crown is attached to the converter via an amplifier. The axial vibrations of the converter on the tool crown are amplified via the amplifier and the sonotrode. This ultrasonic processing machine has proven itself. However, the flow of grinding emulsion is difficult when machining workpieces.
In order to improve the flow of grinding emulsion, it is known to make a transverse bore in the sonotrode, which communicates with an axial bore to the tool crown. The grinding emulsion can be sucked off via a nozzle on the cross hole. However, this solution is only suitable for tools that do not rotate or only pivot back and forth by limited angles.
The object of the present invention is to develop an ultrasound processing machine of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that, with good flow of the liquid operating medium, the ultrasound processing tool can be rotated continuously. This object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1.
Exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained below with reference to the drawing. It shows:
1 shows an axial section through a first embodiment,
2 shows a detail of the seal of the embodiment according to FIG. 1 on an enlarged scale,
Fig. 3 shows an axial section through a second embodiment, and
Fig. 4 shows an axial section through a hydrostatic bearing.
1 consists of a housing 3 which can be displaced in the direction of an axis 2 and an ultrasound processing tool 4 which is rotatably mounted in the housing 3 about the axis 2. The tool 4 consists of a converter 5 with four piezoelectric disks 6 and two oscillating masses 7, an amplifier 8 and a sonotrode 9 with a tool crown 10. Converter 5, amplifier 8 and sonotrode 9 are arranged coaxially to axis 2. The disks 6 are thickness transducers which cause the amplifier 5 to vibrate axially during operation. They are polarized alternately in opposite directions. The center plane is a node plane and is connected to the oscillating masses 7 and to a first slip ring 11 in an electrically conductive manner. The other two adjoining surfaces of the disks 6 are connected to a second slip ring 12.
Brushes (not shown), which are connected to a high-frequency voltage source, grind on the slip rings 11, 12. The amplifier 8 is screwed to the converter 5 via a central thread 13. A flange 15 is formed on the amplifier 8 in a node plane 14. The flange 15 merges into a cylindrical collar 16 on the outside. This is clamped in a two-part bell 17. The bell 17 is rotatably supported in two ball bearings 18 in the housing 3. The inside diameter of the bearings 18 is smaller than the outside diameter of the flange 15. As a result, a compact construction and a lower peripheral speed of the bearings 18 are achieved.
The bell 17 carries the two slip rings 11, 12 at the top via an extension 19 and an insulating ring 20. To cool the converter 5, an annular channel 21 is attached to the housing 3 with a connecting piece 22 for connecting cooling air. Starting from the channel 21, a plurality of radial bores 23 are drilled in the housing 3. These are aligned with circumferential bores 24 in the projection 19 and are aligned with the disks 6. The cooling air escapes through further bores 25 in the housing 3. To drive the machining tool 4 about its axis 2, the shoulder 19 has a coaxial ring gear 26. A pinion (not shown) engages in this, which is connected to a drive motor.
The sonotrode 9 is screwed to the amplifier 8 by means of a coaxial differential screw 30 in the manner described in DE-OS 3 606 305. The differential screw 30 enables the sonotrode 9 to be attached to the amplifier 8 without relative rotation and without significant additional mass. For precise centering, the sonotrode 9 has a steeply conical projection 31 which engages in the amplifier 8. However, the acoustic coupling takes place via the flat end faces of the amplifier 8 and the sonotrode 9 lying against one another 5 DEG opening angle used.
The tool crown 10 is coated on its working surfaces with hard material grains 33 made of diamond or cubic boron nitride.
The ultrasonic machining tool 4 has a continuous axial bore 35 consisting of a bore 36 through the converter 5, a bore 37 through the amplifier 8, a through bore 38 through the differential screw 30, a bore 39 through the sonotrode 9 and a bore 40 through the tubular tool crown 10. A tube 41 with play is inserted into the through bore 35. The tube 41 has a circumferential groove 42 at the lower end, in which an elastomeric quad ring 43 is inserted. The ring 43 seals the tube 41 with respect to the sonotrode 9 in its node plane 44. The inside diameter of the groove 42 is dimensioned together with the inside diameter of the ring 43 and the diameter of the bore 39 in such a way that the radial prestress along the outside circumference of the ring 43 is greater than along the inside circumference.
As a result, the quad ring 43 also rotates when the tool 4 is rotated, and the sliding seal is on the inner circumference of the ring 43. As a result, the peripheral speed of the sliding seal can be minimized and therefore a higher speed can be achieved. The tube 41 has an axial through bore 45. It is guided in an axially displaceable and rotatable manner in a cylindrical collar 46 of the housing 3. A rotatable connecting piece 47 with a connecting hose 48 is mounted at its upper end. Adjacent to the socket 47, a torque-limiting slip clutch 49 is placed on the tube 41 with a sleeve 50 connected to the tube 41 in a rotationally fixed manner, a ring 51 and a nut 52 which is screwed onto the sleeve 50 and a plate spring assembly 53 against a flange 54 of the ring 51 presses. The flange 54 bears against a shoulder of the sleeve 50.
The torque that can be transmitted to the tube 41 can be adjusted with the nut 52. Some handles 55 are attached to the ring 51. The tube 41 is preloaded by a spring 56 into its upper end position, shown in FIG. 1. An external hexagon 57 is formed on the tube 41 adjacent to the differential screw 30. When the tube 41 is axially displaced downward, it engages in an internal hexagon 58 of the differential screw 30. To loosen the screw 30, the handles 55 are pressed down and then turned. The differential screw 30 moves upwards and at the same time presses the sonotrode 9 downwards.
When a new sonotrode 9 is inserted, the tightening torque is limited by the slip clutch 49, so that a defined force presses the end faces of the amplifier 8 and sonotrode 9 against one another, which on the one hand ensures the acoustic coupling and on the other hand prevents the differential screw 30 from being overstressed.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the same reference numerals are used for analog parts, so that a detailed description of these parts is unnecessary. 3 is suitable for high speeds up to about 30,000 revolutions per minute, while in the embodiment according to FIG. 1 speeds up to about 5,000 revolutions per minute are possible because of the sliding seal.
An essential difference between the embodiment according to FIG. 3 and that according to FIG. 1 is that here the tube 41 also rotates with the processing tool 4 and therefore the elastomeric sealing ring 43, which here can also be an ordinary O-ring, does not rub. The connection of the pipe 41 to the connecting piece 47 takes place here via a hydrostatic bearing 65. A cylindrical bearing body 67 is rigidly inserted in a housing 66 of the connecting piece 47. The bearing body 67 has an axial bore 68 which communicates with the hose 48 via a radial bore 69. The bearing body 67 is inserted into the enlarged bore 45 of the tube 41 with little play. On a cylindrical bearing surface 70 of the bearing body 67, several pockets 71 are recessed distributed over the circumference. Each pocket 71 communicates with the bore 68 via a throttle bore 72.
Another throttle bore 73 connects the bore 68 with the bore 45. Pressurized water is fed in here via the hose 48. This centers the bearing body 67 in the bore 45 without sliding friction, so that high speeds are made possible. The water escaping from the bearing 65 reaches a return channel 74 in the housing 66 on the one hand and the bore 45 on the other hand.
The two vibrating masses 7, 7 min of the converter 5 are screwed together here via a coaxial threaded tube 80, which also has a through hole 81. The sealing ring 43 seals in the bore 81 in the node plane 44 min of the converter 5. The flange 15 is inserted symmetrically between the disks 6 here. It has several through bores 82 distributed over the circumference, through which the cooling air flows. The bell 17 has on both sides of the flange 15 radial bores 24, 24 min.
The lower vibrating mass is tapered towards the bottom for 7 minutes, so that the converter also acts as an amplifier. The sonotrode 9 is attached with a self-locking cone 32 directly to the lower vibrating mass for 7 minutes. Tool crown 10 and sonotrode 9 are formed in one piece. To rotate the processing tool 4, a belt roller 83 is non-rotatably mounted on the collar 46 fastened to the bell 17 at the top. The roller 83 is driven by a belt 84 by a motor, not shown.
In operation, the ultrasound processing machine described works as follows: The embodiment according to FIG. 1 is particularly suitable for conventional ultrasound processing, the diamond coating 33 being omitted. The tool crown 10 is then a wear part. During processing, e.g. the production of a bore, a high-frequency voltage of e.g. 20 kHz applied. The tool 4 swings axially. The hose 48 is connected to a vacuum source. As a result, the grinding emulsion supplied around the tool crown 10 together with the removed workpiece material can be effectively suctioned off, which enables an increased feed rate. By slowly rotating the tool 4, a uniform material removal over the circumference of the tool crown 10 and thus a more precise drilling is achieved.
If, however, the tool crown 10 is coated with diamond grains 33, a rinsing liquid, e.g. Water, fed under pressure. In this case, the processing is an ultrasound-assisted grinding. The tool 4 is rotated much faster. In the case of a small diameter of the tool crown 10, the embodiment according to FIG. 3 is more advantageous because much higher speeds are possible with it. By means of the central supply of the rinsing liquid, the grinding abrasion can be effectively removed and the pores of the diamond coating 33 can be kept open, so that a very high grinding performance is achieved.
