Fig. 2 eine perspektivische Ansicht der Bremsvorrichtung.
A vending machine according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from EP-A 282 457. In this machine, a table is preloaded by four ropes. The ropes are guided over pulleys. The two ropes on each side are tensioned by a common, spring-loaded pulley. This results in a simple parallel guidance of the table in the depth direction, while the table can tilt slightly to compensate for different stack thicknesses on the two sides. The ropes press the stack against a fixed stop located in the middle at the rear edge. In this known machine, the spring force must be adapted to the specific weight of the newspapers or magazines, so that the stack is securely held against the stop for every stack height.
This is particularly difficult when different printed products are to be sold with the same machine on different days of the week.
A vending machine that is less sensitive in this regard is known from EP-B 12 719. Here the table is guided in a parallel guide and pulled up by two chains. The two chains run over two rigidly connected sprockets. A stop, around which the top copy of the stack swivels when it is pushed out, engages in one of the sprockets with a pin. This limits the pressing force of the stack against the stop. However, this solution cannot be transferred to the machine according to EP-A 282 457.
The present invention has for its object to develop a machine according to the preamble of claim 1 such that it is also suitable for the sale of different newspapers and magazines. This object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1.
The brake lever ensures that the stack is pressed against the roller with an almost constant force regardless of the specific weight and format of newspapers or magazines and regardless of the stack height. The roller also ensures improved parallel guidance when pushing out the top copy. The solution according to the invention also has the advantage that the top copy is aligned parallel to the removal slot due to the individual braking of the two sides.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawing. It shows:
Fig. 1 shows a cross section through part of a vending machine and
Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the braking device.
In Fig. 1 a cross section through part of a vending machine is shown schematically, the parts of the vending machine not relevant here being omitted for the sake of clarity. The machine has a housing 1 with two side walls 2 and a front side 3, in which a horizontal removal slot 4 is arranged. A stack 6 of newspapers 7 lies on a vertically movable table 5. The table 5 is suspended on four Kevlar ropes 8, 9. The ropes 8, 9 are inserted through holes 10 in the corners of the table 5. The table 5 rests on brackets 11 which are clamped onto the rope ends. The ropes 8, 9 are guided over four deflection rollers 12, 13, both ropes 8, 9 being guided over the front deflection roller 12 on each side. The two ropes 8, 9 are connected together with a tension member.
The traction element is arranged adjacent to the front side 3 and expediently consists of a spring-loaded pulley block, as is shown in EP-A 282 457. For a better overview, the tension member is shown here only as a spring 14. Through the interconnected ropes 8, 9 on each side, a simple parallel guidance of the table 5 in the depth direction is achieved, while the table 5 can tilt laterally due to different deflection of the two springs 14. An actuating device is used, for example, to push out the top copy 7a of the stack 6 from the removal slot 4. according to EP-A 282 457, of which an engagement element 15 with spikes 16 is shown only schematically here.
On the axis 20 of the rollers 12, a brake lever 21 with a U-shaped cross section is pivotally mounted on both sides. The two levers 21 can be pivoted independently of one another. The web 22 of the U-shaped lever cross section runs adjacent to the roller 12 parallel to and at a short distance from a brake shoe 23 fixed to the housing, which e.g. can be formed by one attached to the side walls 2 U-profile piece. The associated rope 9 is carried out on each side between the web 22 and the shoe 23. The levers 21 have at their free end on the inner leg of the U-profile an elongated hole 24. This extends in the direction of the axis 20, but can also be slightly inclined upwards from the free end in relation to this direction. An axis 25 made of steel extends transversely between the two levers 21 and through the elongated holes 24.
On this axis 25, a PVC roller 26 is rotatably mounted between the levers 21. The roller width corresponds to at least half the width of the table 5.
The uppermost specimen 7a of the stack 6 is pressed against the roller 26 by the two springs 14 for abutment. As a result, the lever 21 is pressed upward on both sides and the associated rope 9 is braked between the web 22 and the shoe 23. Due to the individual braking of the two sides, the top copy 7a automatically aligns itself parallel to the removal slot 4, even if the stack 6 is of different thickness on both sides. The wide roller 26 and the pressing force which is uniform over the width ensure good parallel guidance of the specimen 7a when it is pushed out. The longitudinal slot 24 serves to facilitate the introduction of a fresh stack of newspapers 6. To load a fresh stack of newspapers 6, the roller 26 is pushed backwards in the longitudinal slots 24, the stack 6 is placed on the table 5 from above and pressed down.
The two levers 21 pivot slightly downward against a stop, not shown. When the stack 6 is released, the roller 26 is initially at the rear end of the longitudinal slots 24. When the first specimen 7a is pushed out, the axis 25 then rolls on the upper side of the longitudinal slots 24 and the roller 26 is moved forward into its front end position. The following copies 7 are then carried over a longer distance during the extension.
