La présente invention concerne un protège-talon comprenant un corps flexible fixé à l'arrière de la chaussure par une bride inférieure élastique enserrant le talon et par une bride supérieure élastique passant sur le coup-de-pied et bloquée par une fermeture rapide.
Elle est destinée à empêcher l'usure de la partie supérieure du talon d'une chaussure de dame lors de la conduite d'un véhicule automobile.
L'expérience montre que la position du pied actionnant l'accélérateur d'une voiture automobile affecte particulièrement la partie supérieure du soulier, au-dessus du talon, par suite du frottement de la chaussure contre le plancher du véhicule. Ce frottement ne pouvant être évité, il s'agit d'en faire supporter les conséquences par un élément intermédiaire, vite ajusté à la chaussure et s'enlevant facilement. Ainsi la conductrice n'est plus contrainte comme jusqu'à maintenant de procéder à un changement de chaussures pour chaque trajet en voiture. D'autre part, le faible encombrement du protègetalon et son poids insignifiant permettent de le réduire facilement dans la boîte à gants ou même dans le sac à main.
La présente invention est définie par la revendication 1. La pièce principale du protège-talon est le corps en matériau flexible s'adaptant à l'arrière de la chaussure, au-dessus du talon. En particulier les coutures nécessaires à l'obtention de la forme du corps flexible sont faites de telle sorte qu'il n'y ait aucune aspérité sur sa surface interne pour éviter des pressions risquant de marquer ou d'endommager la chaussure.
Selon une réalisation avantageuse, le protège-talon est muni d'une bride inférieure élastique fixe qui vient enserrer le talon, assurant ainsi l'immobilité de la partie inférieure du protège-talon. Les dimensions des talons de chaussures de dame variant considérablement, il est prévu de fabriquer différents modèles de protège-talons construits sur le même principe, mais avec des longueurs de la bride inférieure adaptées à chaque type de talon.
La fixation définitive du protège-talon est assurée par la bride supérieure passant sur le coup-de-pied. L'élasticité de cette bride permet de l'ajuster à un pied de n'importe quelle dimension. Dans une réalisation avantageuse selon l'invention, la bande élastique de la bride supérieure est revêtue d'une gaine froncée, en tissu ou en cuir fin selon les modèles, pour éviter l'usure du bas souvent délicat de l'utilisatrice du protège-talon. Le choix du même matériau pour le corps flexible et la gaine de la bride supérieure obéit à une exigence esthétique. Le fronçage de la gaine permet l'élongation nécessaire à la bande élastique pour assurer un serrage suffisant de la bride supérieure autour du pied.
Dans une autre réalisation avantageuse selon l'invention, le blocage de la bride supérieure se fait instantanément par une fermeture à bande "VELCRO" (marque protégée), éventuellement dans d'autres variantes par un boutonpression ou par une agrafe.
