Abstract

The stepping motor includes a section of magnetic core (1) round which the coil (2) is wound. This is linked to the stator pole piece (3) with an aperture in which the rotor (6) is mounted. The stator is extended by an additional arm (3b2) which entends from the pole piece section. This is intended to attenuate the interaction between the external magnetic field and the rotor. The stator is formed by cutting and stamping. ADVANTAGE - Motor has improved resistance to interference from external magnetic fields. (5pp Dwg.No.3/5)
