Abstract

The joint in a plastered facade is sealed by first inserting a protruding foam inlay (3) into the joint (1). The basic rendering (4) is then applied to the masonry (2) flush with the protruding inlay, followed by a rubber-elastic sealing strip (6) adhering to the top. Finally the finish rendering (7) is applied, leaving the middle portion of the sealing strip over the joint without plaster. ADVANTAGE - Improved, lasting joint seal.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Abdichten einer Fuge an einer verputzten Fassade und eine nach dem Verfahren hergestellte Fugenabdichtung. The present invention relates to a method for sealing a joint on a plastered facade and a joint seal produced by the method.

Fugenabdichtungen wurden bisher mittels einer in die Fuge eingebrachten gummielastischen Dichtungsmasse hergestellt. Wesentlich dabei ist eine sorgfältige Vorarbeit des Maurers oder Gipsers, welcher den Grundputz aufbringt. Dabei muss die Fugenöffnung den richtigen Querschnitt aufweisen und sauber ausgebildet sein. Es hat sich dabei häufig gezeigt, dass diese Arbeiten durch teilweise unqualifiziertes Personal nicht sorgfältig genug ausgeführt werden. Eine unsaubere und unregelmässige Fugenöffnung bringt aber die Gefahr mit sich, dass die Dichtungsmasse an den Fugenrändern nicht richtig haftet, wodurch die gewünschte Abdichtung der Fuge nicht gewährleistet ist. Um dieses Problem zu lösen, wurden L-förmige Kunststoffprofile entwickelt, die, dadurch dass sie vor dem aufbringen des Grundputzes an den Fugenrändern entlang angeordnet werden, eine saubere und regelmässige Fugenöffnung ermöglichen. Auch diese Lösung vermag nicht vollständig zu befriedigen, da selbst wenn die Kunststoffprofile vor dem Aufbringen des Grundputzes grundiert werden, letzterer nicht richtig am Kunststoff haftet, wodurch sich bald Risse zeigen. Besonders vorteilhaft ist, dass die üblichen Vorarbeiten an der Fugenöffnung nicht mehr erforderlich sind, so dass selbst bei unsachgemäss durchgeführtem Aufbringen des Grundputzes keine Risse und Undichtigkeiten auftreten können. Der Fertigputz haftet einwandfrei auf dem gummielastischen Dichtungsband. Ein zusätzlicher wichtiger Vorteil ergibt sich aus der Tatsache, dass sich das gummielastische Dichtungsband um 70 bis 80% dehnen kann, was gegenüber der Dehnungsfähigkeit der herkömmlichen Dichtungsmassen, welche ungefähr 20% beträgt, eine erhebliche Steigerung ist. Dies ist besonders dort von grosser Wichtigkeit, wo es sich bei der abzudichtenden Fuge um eine Fuge zwischen zwei Gebäudeteilen handelt, die auf getrennten Fundamenten stehen. Es entsteht dadurch ein positives Fugenprofil. Sofern die Schaumstoffeinlage 3, wie erwähnt aus einer Schaumstoff-Platte abgeschnitten wird, kann sie noch mit Mörtel verstärkt werden.
