Abstract

The outer face (31) of the plate (1) is curved to the form of a portion of a cylinder, and the inner face is machined with a succession of steps (34,36-38) in different planes extending from one edge to the other. The supports (e.g. 38) sited furthest from the central axis are the most highly stepped, so that the upper faces of the various bridges (2-6) lie at equal distances from the outer face (31) with which they are concentric. The plate (1) is rectangular in plan with its longer edges aligned with the six o'clock-twelve o'clock axis of the dial. ADVANTAGE - Construction of movement combines technical capabilities of date indication or self-winding by oscillating masses with desirable aesthetic appearance of curved watch cases.
