BESCHREIBUNG
Fig. 1 einen Schnitt durch einen neuerungsgemässen Becher,
Fig. 4 einen Teilquerschnitt durch den Becher, und
DESCRIPTION
The innovation relates to a cup according to the preamble of claim 1. A cup of this type is known. This has a tear-open tab, which is gripped on a ring formed thereon and pulled off completely, an elongated pouring opening being created. However, this can no longer be closed after the tab has been removed, so that germs and dirt can penetrate into the interior of the cup, which is particularly undesirable in the case of cream, since it forms a good breeding ground for germs.
The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a cup of the type mentioned at the outset which avoids the disadvantage mentioned above and which can nevertheless be produced inexpensively by the injection molding process. This object is achieved by the features mentioned in the characterizing part of patent claim 1.
Refinements of the innovation are characterized in the dependent claims. The cup according to the innovation has the further advantage that the closure can be operated with only one hand by pivoting the lever with a finger.
Since the closure body remains on the cup, waste disposal is simplified compared to the prior art. The protruding lever is much easier to manufacture in the injection molding process than the tear tab with ring mentioned above. The further developments according to claims 2 to 4 and 8 contribute to the fact that as little cream as possible remains adhering to the cup after pouring out, the production not being impaired or the material consumption being significantly increased.
Exemplary embodiments of the innovation are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. Show it:
1 shows a section through a mug according to the innovation,
2 is a partial view of the cup, seen in the direction of arrow II in Fig. 1,
3 shows a partial cross section through the cup with an open spout,
Fig. 4 shows a partial cross section through the cup, and
Fig. 5 shows a cross section through a cup according to another embodiment.
The cup is made of polypropylene and has a height of about 58 mm, but it can also be lower or higher. The cup is stackable and has a comparatively low stack height of 14 mm. As shown in FIG. 1, the cup has a conical jacket 1, on which a flat or inwardly curved wall 3 is formed, which has an annular standing surface 12.
The cup is filled through an opening 2, which is subsequently closed by a cover, not shown here. A closure 4 is formed on the wall 3 and is arranged in a recessed manner in a recess 11 which is open at the edge of the cup. The niche is formed by a slightly inclined, U-shaped wall 15 and by a flat floor 14. As FIG. 2 clearly shows, the base 14 has a U-shaped weakening line 7 with two legs 7b and an arch 7a. The thickness of the wall 14 in the area of the weakening line 7 is approximately 0.1 mm. The wall area within the line of weakness 7 forms a closure body 16, which is separated from the rest of the wall 14 by a film hinge 6 between the ends of the legs 7b.
In the area of the film hinge 6, the thickness of the wall is preferably approximately 0.3 mm.
A one-armed lever 5 is formed on the closure body 16 and is reinforced by means of a rib 10. The length of this lever 5 is dimensioned such that it does not protrude beyond the standing surface 12. As shown in FIG. 2, the lever 5 is plate-shaped and extends approximately over the entire length of the film hinge 6. For use, the cup is rotated by 180 so that the bottom 3 is at the top. The cup then assumes the position shown in FIG. 3. In order to open the closure 4, the lever 5 is pivoted toward the center of the wall around the film hinge 6, the wall 14 breaking along the line of weakness and the lever 5 assuming approximately the position shown in FIG. 3. The contents of the cup can then be poured out, as shown in Fig. 4, by a slight inclination of the cup.
Afterwards, the lever 5 is pivoted back again until the closure body 16 closes the pouring opening again. A U-shaped yaw drop cutter 9 helps ensure that as little cream as possible adheres to the cup.
FIG. 5 shows a cup which differs from the first embodiment in that the closure 4 is set a little lower over a further step 13. The step 13 prevents cream from running backwards on the top of the wall 14 if it is handled improperly.
From the information given above, cups are thus obtained, in which the pouring spout can be closed again after each use and which can be produced inexpensively in an injection molding process with comparatively low material consumption.
