Abstract

The watch case is made out of plastic and consists of a base and a glassholder. The base has three lugs attached to it and the glassholder three apertures into which the lugs fit. The two pieces of the water are then rotated against each other to engage in position as in the manner of a bayonet connector. The base and glassholder can be eccentric, eliptical or oval. A stud is positioned on the glass holder to prevent excessive rotation of the pieces. The rest of the watch including the watch glass and the movement are assembled as per normal. ADVANTAGE - Easy method of assembly using plastic components.
