Abstract
A sheet of paper has its underface turned uppermost by means of a device consisting of a group of rollers (1, 2, 3) with the smaller rollers (2, 3) mounted above and in contact with the larger roller (1). The paper sheet (9) is fed through the gap (4) between the inlet guide plates (10, 11) and is gripped between the rollers. These rollers (2, 3) deliver the sheet into the vertical channel (6) formed between guide plates (7, 8). The lower edge of the sheet is then moved by the roller (1) towards the roller (3) and the two rollers (1, 3) then deliver the sheet to the outlet (5) with its original underface now facing upwards. USE - For use with copying machines.
Description
BESCHREIBUNG
Fig. 2 eine schematische Seitenansicht eines zweiten Ausführungsbeispiels.
DESCRIPTION
When copying a document, the document is usually copied in the order of its sheets. Most copying machines deliver the copied sheet face up in a tray. The copied stack therefore has the last page at the top and has to be rearranged so that the sheets are in the correct order.
The present invention remedies this inconvenience with the combination of features according to claim 1.
Exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained below with reference to the drawing. It shows:
Fig. 1 is a schematic side view of a first embodiment, and
Fig. 2 is a schematic side view of a second embodiment.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1, two rollers 2, 3 are pressed against a motor-driven, rubber-coated roller 1 above their axis 14. The paper sheet 9 passes through an entry slot (4), formed by two guide plates 10, 11, between the roller 1 and the roller 2 facing the entry slot. It is gripped by the roller 1 and conveyed obliquely upwards. It then enters a guide channel 6, formed by two walls 7, 8 projecting approximately vertically upwards, e.g. made of wire.
The rear wall 8 intersects the common tangential plane of the roller 1 and roller 2, so that the front edge of the sheet is directed through the wall 8 into the guide channel 6. When the trailing edge of the sheet emerges from the nip between the roller 1 and the roller 2, it is taken along by the roller 1 and guided into the nip between the roller 1 and the roller 3, as is illustrated by the position shown in phantom with 9 '. The sheet 9 is now conveyed between the roller 1 and the roller 3 to the exit slot 5, formed from two further guide plates 12, 13, where it emerges the other way round approximately horizontally.
The device shown takes up very little space in the longitudinal direction, has a very simple structure and is therefore inexpensive and reliable. It can e.g. are designed to be hung between a copying machine and a sorter, with corresponding coupling elements on both sides.
The embodiment according to FIG. 2 has a similar structure.
Here, too, the paper passes through an inlet slot 24 between a drive roller 21 and a pressure roller 22, is conveyed obliquely upwards into an approximately vertical guide channel 26 formed from two walls 27, 28 and its rear edge is carried along by the roller 21. In contrast to the embodiment according to FIG. 1, the sheet is conveyed against the outlet 25 by a plurality of endless rubber bands 41 which loosely wrap around the roller 21 and a further roller 40. The roller 23 bears against these rubber bands 41. The rubber bands 41 can e.g. be guided in grooves of the roller 21. Arranged in the entry slot 24 is a pivotable sensing arm 42 which pivots about its axis 43 when a sheet of paper enters and thus actuates a switch 45 via a second arm 44.
The switch 45 activates the drive of the roller 21, for example by means of a delay relay, for a period of time sufficient to convey the intended sheet format through the device. As a result, the drive of the roller 21 is automatically switched on only when required. A tray 46 can be provided for the sheets conveyed from the outlet 25, unless a sorter is to be connected downstream. The tray 46 is therefore expediently designed to be easily removable, additional coupling elements for a sorter being able to be arranged on the outlet side.
