The present invention relates to a method for separating a number of objects according to the preamble of independent patent claim 1, and to an apparatus for carrying out the method according to the preamble of patent claim 6.
From DE-U 7 223 053 it has become known to stop the incoming stack with a main press. Such a main presser presses against the upper edge part of the objects with a pressing surface, as a result of which they are stopped between the pressing surface and the channel floor. A lead press located downstream of this main press stops a single object, namely the foremost of the stack. The depositing scoop can thus be pivoted in order to feed the objects formed therein into a group to a packaging machine. Together with the prepress, a safety slide is moved in front of the stack. This reliably prevents the stack from slipping.
From CH-A 380 635 it has also become known to lower a press onto the stack of biscuits standing upright in order to clamp them and then to remove the pick-up slide by a distance downstream of the measured group. A separating slide is lowered from above into the biscuits that are loosely attached to each other.
On the one hand, this ensures that the biscuits of the measured group are separated from the stack and that the foremost biscuit of the incoming stack is securely retained.
Piercing a loosely layered stack of easily fragile objects can lead to repeated damage, despite many measures. Above all, pressers should be designed such that they never have to be pressed against a single object, as is the case with the aforementioned DE-U 7 223 053.
The insertion of a safety slide after disconnecting the group has proven to be very advantageous. However, grouping with a distance between the foremost object of the incoming stack and the rearmost object on the depositing bucket results in a lost time in the rhythm. This is not the case with the second-mentioned CH-A 380 635, because the depositing bucket is lowered directly in front of the incoming stack. It would be very advantageous if a solution could be found with which a safety slide could be used without plunging with a separating slide and without forming a distance.
Accordingly, it is an object of the invention to implement this solution.
According to the invention, this is achieved with a method according to the features in the characterizing part of independent patent claim 1. The device for performing the method is characterized in claim 6.
An embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawing. Show it:
1 is a schematic view of a device for forming groups with a securing element for performing the method,
2 is an enlarged detail of the separation point between the stack and the group with the path of the securing element shown,
3 shows the mutual position of the pick-up slide, securing element, group of objects and depositing scoop at the point in time shortly before the group is placed on the depositing scoop,
Fig. 4 shows the same representation as in Fig. 3, but after the group has been removed, and
5 shows the same representation as in FIG. 3, with the depositing bucket swung out, before the initial state is created.
A first conveyor device 2 with a feed trough 10 and a vibratory drive 16 and a second conveyor device 3 with a depositing bucket 5 and a pick-up slide 13 are built on a machine stand 1. A
Securing element 4 is fastened in a vertically movable manner to a lever arm 24 with a parallel guide, and the lever arm 24 is controlled in the usual way with a scanning roller 22 and a cam disk 20.
The pick-up slide 13 is guided in a linear guide 14 and driven via a lever arm 25, a scanning roller 23 and a cam disk 21. The drive for pivoting the depositing scoop 5 is not shown, but it can also be formed from a cam disk, scanning roller and linkage, as is known from the art.
The cams 21, 22 for the securing element 4 and the pick-up slide 13, as well as possibly for the depositing scoop 5, can be fastened on a common drive axle or, if need be, synchronized with one another via gears in order to keep the given work cycle synchronous.
The vibratory drive 16 can consist mechanically of the eccentric disk 30 and the scanning roller 31, a spring element (not shown) could be provided as the vibrating element, or it could comprise an electromagnetic drive with a magnetic coil and armature. Since such vibratory drives are known in the art, a detailed description of the same can be dispensed with here.
It is only essential that the frequency and / or the amplitude of the vibration, which is transmitted to the feed trough 10, can be adjusted in order to change the vibration depending on the work cycle described above, e.g. B.
by slowing or reducing or interrupting the vibration when pivoting the depositing scoop 5.
It can also be provided that the pick-up slide 13 does not perform a uniform movement, but initially carries out a pick-up movement at a relatively high speed and at the end of the stroke at a reduced speed.
With a vibrating feed trough, the objects in the stack S can be moved at least approximately horizontally, so that no pressure is exerted on preceding objects.
On both sides of the feed trough 10, from which the front side was omitted, there are braking elements 6, which exert a clamping effect on the objects in the stack S and thereby brake the stack S.
Of course, a conveyor belt could also be provided instead of the vibration drive 16. to move the objects against the depositing scoop 5.
The securing element 4 consists of two perpendicular legs 40, 41. The vertical leg 40 forms a holding surface 42 (FIG. 2) and the horizontal leg 41 forms an abutting surface 43. The vertical leg 40 is connected in one piece to a control bar 44. This control bar 44 carries at its end 45 a rotatably mounted scanning roller 46 which rolls on a curved rail 47.
when the lever arm 24 is deflected by the cam 20.
Due to the movement of the scanning roller 46 on the curved rail 47, the securing element 4 executes a back and forth movement according to arrow B during the downward movement in the direction of arrow A, as is clearly shown with the path W in FIG. 2.
The purpose of this two-dimensional movement is:
If, in the state according to FIG. 3, the pick-up slide 13 releases the foremost object of the group G, these objects fall onto the depositing scoop 5 because the group G, as can be seen, is formed at a distance from the bottom of the depositing scoop 5. If the last object now sticks to group G on the foremost object Al of the incoming stack, the securing element 4 with the butting surface 43 indicates an impact on the last object so that it falls down. The safety element 4 assumes the position shown in FIG. 4 and remains there due to the shape of the cam disc 20 until the depositing blade 5 has been pivoted away. The security element 4 now ends its downward path according to the path W in FIG. 2 and finally has the position according to FIG. 5.
Because the downward path leads first downstream and only at the end again upstream, the securing element 4 only touches the objects if either one stuck or one would fall out of the brake holder. This results in extremely gentle handling of the objects, even when the packaging machine is running at high speed.
