Description
The invention relates to a multiplex hazard alarm system according to the preamble of claim 1.
In conventional alarm systems, the sensors (e.g. fire detectors or glass breakage detectors) are connected to a control center via one or more at least two-wire detection lines, which contains an evaluation circuit for each detection line. This evaluation circuit usually consists of A / D converters or comparators. If one of these comparators or the entire evaluation circuit fails, in the worst case only that area is not monitored that is assigned to the sensors or to the signaling line that is connected to the failed evaluation circuit.
However, multiplex alarm systems of the type mentioned at the outset are also known, in which, in contrast to the conventional alarm systems described above, there is a single evaluation circuit in the control center which measures the measured values of the sensors or the lines which are addressed via a multiplexer. are fed. However, this has the consequence that failure of this single evaluation circuit puts the entire hazard alarm system out of operation. It can also happen that e.g. the A / D converter continuously outputs a value that corresponds to an alarm, so that the control panel incorrectly detects the alarm status for each sensor. The io sequence is e.g. alerting the fire brigade, triggering extinguishing agent controls, etc.
The invention has for its object to provide a multiplex hazard alarm system of the type mentioned, in which malfunctions in the control center can be quickly recognized as such 15 and possibly also limited. In addition, a possibility is also to be created in such multiplex hazard alarm systems in the event of a defect in essential parts of the control center or their complete failure to maintain restricted emergency operation of the system.
This object is achieved according to the invention by the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1.
Advantageous embodiments and further developments are specified in the dependent claims. Particularly noteworthy is the solution specified in claim 3 for the additional task of maintaining emergency operation of the system in the event of a total failure or failure of essential parts of the control center.
In the drawing, a multiplex hazard alarm system 30 according to the invention is shown in a schematically simplified manner in an embodiment selected, for example.
The center of this system essentially comprises an analog multiplexer 1, followed by a central evaluation circuit 2, which is connected to a microprocessor 3 via a data bus 4, while the microprocessor 3 is connected to the analog multiplexer 1 via an address bus 5. The detection lines of the system, such as the indicated detection lines 7, 8, are connected to the analog multiplexer 1. Each zone can have multiple sensors, e.g. 40 include 7b, 7c and 8b, 8c and are each connected to the multiplexer 1 via an amplifier 7a, 8a. The microprocessor 3 uses the multiplexer 1 to query the detection lines, possibly also each sensor within each detection line, individually for a predetermined program. For this purpose, the multi-45 plexer 1 receives from the microprocessor 3 via the address bus 5 the address of the detection line to be polled or the sensor to be polled. The signal corresponding to the respective address reaches the central evaluation circuit 2 via the multiplexer 1, is compared there before or after it has passed through an A / D converter with several reference values according to the states of the detection line or the individual sensors to be detected and in digital form transmit the microprocessor 3. The microprocessor 3 outputs the determined result together with the associated address 55 via a display 9 or another peripheral device, e.g. a printer. The user can correspond with the microprocessor via a keyboard 10. If the determined state corresponds to an alarm or a fault (e.g. line short circuit, wire break, etc.), a signal “collective alarm” appears at another 60 output 11 of the microprocessor 3.
An diesen Eingängen liegen bestimmte Refe- To increase security against false alarms and apparent disturbances in the area of the detection lines, which are simulated by complete or partial failure of modules of the control center, the multiplexer I is equipped with a number of additional inputs, in the exemplary embodiment with the inputs 20a, 20b, 20c, provided that can be addressed separately. There are certain reference points at these

Limit values stored in the microprocessor correspond to these reference values. After a given program, the inputs of the multiplexer 1 assigned the reference values are queried, e.g. within each complete scan cycle of all zones. The reference values are compared in succession in the evaluation circuit 2 by means of corresponding comparators io with the associated comparison values. If one of the comparators is defective, the microprocessor recognizes the comparison result as not matching the associated stored limit value. The defective comparator 15 can be identified via the address of the assigned reference value and shown on the display. However, a defect in the multiplexer or the A / D converter within the evaluation circuit also leads to a similar result. The program of the microprocessor 3 is preferably organized in such a way that the microprocessor in the event of such a fault can decide whether the faulty comparator is essential for the functioning of the system. If this is the case, the microprocessor 3 emits the collective alarm signal on the one hand via the output 11 and, on the other hand, activates a safety circuit 12 via a further output, at whose output a signal “interrogation fault” appears on the line 20 in this case.
In addition, the output 13 of the safety circuit 12 is connected to the enable input of an emergency operating circuit 14, the further inputs 17, 18, 19 of which are connected to the detection lines 7, 8, etc. This emergency operating circuit contains its own, simplified evaluation circuit, e.g. Consisting of an operational amplifier for each line, the outputs of these operational amplifiers being routed to a common comparator circuit which is released by the "interrogation fault" signal from the safety circuit 12. The emergency operating circuit then at least allows the most important status message of the system to be recognized, e.g. of the "fire" condition on any of the detection lines. For this purpose, the output of the emergency operating circuit 14 is connected to the line 11 “collective alarm”.
The safety circuit 12 is expediently designed such that its output is activated even if the microprocessor 3 fails completely. For this purpose, the safety circuit 12 can in particular be designed as a so-called “watch-dog circuit”, namely contain a post-triggerable monoflop which receives pulses which are periodically emitted by the microprocessor at its input and whose distance is shorter than the delay time of the monoflop. If the distance between the pulses increases beyond this dimension or if the pulses fail to appear completely, the monoflop tilts back into its stable position and thus activates the "Interrogation fault" output. As described, this signal also enables the output of the emergency operating circuit 14.
