PATENTANSPRÜCHE
Fig. 2 eine Ansicht der Front eines Urinoirsiphons,

2. Automatic flushing device according to claim 1, characterized in that the control device (6) has a delay device, so that the valve (9) is opened after reaching the predetermined conductivity value only after an adjustable delay period.
3. Automatic flushing device according to claim 1, characterized in that the valve (9) is a solenoid valve.
The invention relates to an automatic flushing device for a urinoir according to the preamble of independent claim 1.
The water consumption in publicly accessible urinoir systems is often significantly higher than would be necessary for perfect hygienic flushing. So flushing devices with electrical timers are known which initiate a flush at predetermined time intervals. In such a system, a flush is triggered even if the urinoir has not been used. Urinals with a pressure drop switch are also known which initiate a flush when water is drawn from the common line at an adjacent washstand. A water rinse is also triggered here if water is only taken from the wash basin but the urinoir has not been used.
It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a flushing device for a urinoir which has the lowest possible water consumption and which is reliable and can be produced comparatively inexpensively.
The object is achieved by a flushing device with the characterizing features of claim 1.
An embodiment is explained below with reference to the drawing. Show it:
1 is a schematic representation of a urinal with a flushing device,
2 is a view of the front of a urinoir siphon,
3 is a side view, partly in section, of the urinoir siphon,
Fig. 4 is a view of a valve and a control device, and
Fig. 5 is a schematic representation of the electrical circuit of the flushing device.
The system shown in Fig. 1 has a cistern 3, which can be filled through the water inlet line 4.
The drain valve 5 of the cistern operates according to the known suction principle, i.e. the drain valve 5 opens when the water in the cistern 3 has reached a predetermined level. The water flows through the feed line 10 into the urinoir 1 and into the siphon 2, which is connected to a drain line in a manner known per se. Connected to siphon 2 are two probes 7 and 8 (FIG. 3) which are not visible here and which are in contact with the liquid in siphon 2. The probes 7 and 8 are electrically connected to a control device 6 via the lines 11 and 12. The control device 6 detects the value of the conductivity of the liquid in the siphon 2 by means of the probes 7 and 8. If the urine is used, the conductivity of the liquid increases due to the contamination and exceeds a value previously entered on the control device 6.
When this conductivity value is exceeded, the control device 6 generates a signal which starts a delay period which has been preset by means of a step switch. After this period of time, the control device 6 opens via the lines 13 and 14 a valve 9 in the inlet line 4, which is for example a solenoid valve, so that water flows into the cistern 3. When the water in the cistern 3 reaches the predetermined level, the drain valve 5 opens and triggers the flushing process.
The valve 9 now remains open until the conductivity of the water in the siphon 2 falls below a predetermined limit.
The suction siphon 2 shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 is connected with the connector on the urinal 1 and with the rotatable drain pipe 16 to a drain line, not shown here. The siphon 2 is located in a housing 17. The siphon wall 18 has two through openings 19 and 20, into which the probes 7 and 8 are inserted. The electrical contact areas 21 of the probes 7 and 8 are located inside the siphon 2, so that they are surrounded by the liquid. The probes 7 and 8 are connected to the lines 11 and 12 by means of the connection devices 22 and 23.
4 shows the area of the water inlet line 4 in which the valve 9 is inserted. The valve 9 is located in a housing 24 in which the control device 6 is also arranged. The valve 9 is a solenoid valve known per se, which is connected to the control device 6 via the electrical connections 28. A shut-off valve 29, which is also known per se, is connected upstream of the valve 9. The control device 6 is provided with a step switch 30, with which the delay period can be preset in several steps (for example 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes).
The control device 6 is connected to the supply network at the connection 26 via a transformer 31 (FIG. 5), not shown here. Furthermore, the control device 6 has connections 25 and 27 for the lines 11 and 12 to the probes 7 and 8 and for the lines 13 and 14 to the valve 9.
5 schematically shows the electrical connection of the control device 6 with the probes 7 and 8, the supply network 32 and the valve 9.
With a control device 6, several urinals can also be controlled simultaneously. The control device 6 can also be accommodated separately in a surface-mounted housing or the like.
