PATENTANSPRÜCHE

PATENT CLAIMS
1. Label production machine, in which on a guide table a stack of labels is pushed in the stacking direction from its punching device to a bundling device, past a sensor which responds to marking means distributed on the stack in its longitudinal direction and thereby emits a signal to means for actuating at least one Pile divider, so that this detaches a bundle from the front and feeds it to the bundling device, characterized in that the marking means are punched out together with the labels and therefore have the same outline shape as they have foils (F) made of transparent or translucent material and that the sensor as Light barrier (4, 5) is formed, the light beam passing through the stack through one of these foils.
2. Label production machine according to claim 1, characterized in that in front of the eye of the photocell immediately in front of the stack, a plate-shaped ejection member (6) which is movable at right angles to the guide table surface is arranged, which is occupied by an armature and by a solenoid coil located behind the photocell when the Photocell can be pushed forward in order to partially push the film causing the response out of the stack, and that a cutting knife (8) is provided at a distance downstream in the stacking direction, which is actuated by an electromagnet between the film and the one in front of it when it is pushed by the partly ejected film immerses the label and accelerates the entire stack part in front of the film to the bundling machine.
The invention relates to a label production machine in which a stack of labels is pushed in the stacking direction from its punching device to a bundling device on a guide table, past a sensor which responds to marking means distributed on the stack in its longitudinal direction and thereby emits a signal to means for actuation at least one stacking device so that this detaches a bundle from the front stack and feeds it to the bundling device.
On machines of this type produced by the company Hans Blumer, mechanical engineering, sensors of different types have been tried out, but they have not reacted reliably to the assigned marking means on the stack; this also called into question the automation of the machine in the direction of separating the stack into stack parts with a certain number of labels (and subsequent bundling and packaging of such stack parts).
The invention was therefore based on the object of finding a satisfactory solution, particularly with regard to stack division.
According to the invention, this solution is primarily seen in a training as described in the characterizing part of patent claim 1. Further special features of a preferred embodiment are set out in claim 2.
The invention is explained below with reference to the accompanying drawing, for example.
The single figure illustrates an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention in a schematic elevation and only to the extent necessary for understanding the invention.
With list an inclined guide table of a largely known label production machine is referred to, at the lower edge of which a punching machine 2 is arranged, whose stationary knives 2a act similarly to planes on raw labels RE when these are pushed past them under the action of a pestle 3 in order to do so to get the desired outline shape. Such raw labels RE are produced in stacks of, for example, 100 pieces on a raw die-cutting device in which stacks of printed sheets are divided into transverse and longitudinal lines. The labels E which have been die-cut in FIG. 2 have to be counted and divided into packets of, for example, 100 pieces and these packets are then bundled in a bundling device which, seen in the schematic figure, is located at the top right (but not shown).
Precise counting has proven to be a difficult process, which could not be reliably carried out with the means previously used.
The inventive solution includes films F made of transparent (transparent or translucent) material such as polyethylene, which have a thickness of a few tenths of a millimeter and which divide the stack of raw labels RE and finished labels E into the packages of the desired number of pieces. When pre-punching the stack of label sheets, one (possibly several) sheets of film were also punched out; In the device 2, the foils F as well as the labels E are die-cut.
The solution according to the invention also includes a light barrier with a light source 4 and a photocell 5, the latter arranged so that it responds to the light transmitted through it each time a film F is passed, and an ejection meter 6 together with the associated electromagnetic actuating device 7 in such an arrangement, that the ejection knife 6 comes into effect with the time delay which elapses until the film F has reached the ejection knife 6 from the photocell 5.
In its further course, each pre-pushed film F acts as a signal transmitter on a parting knife 8 and its actuating means 9. The parting knife can, for example, be pivotably mounted on an actuating arm belonging to 9 such that when the ejected film F swings the parting knife slightly counterclockwise, hiebei an electrical contact device is actuated, which then ensures that - by means of electromagnets - the parting knife is inserted into the stack along the front of the film F and then pivoted counterclockwise so that the stack part in front of it - namely a label package plus one in front Foil F - separated from the stacked part behind and accelerated into the bundling machine.
The bundled label packages thus contain an overlying film F, which can often be very desirable.
