EMI2.3
EMI2.4

in Form der freien Säure oder als Salz, worin die Sulfogruppe im Naphthylrest die Position 3 oder 4 einnimmt und insbesondere in Stellung 4 steht;
; (8) solche von (7), worin X3 für X4 steht und besonders bevorzugt Xs bedeutet.
EMI4.1
die der Tabelle 2 der Formel
EMI4.2
die der Tabelle 3 der Formel
EMI4.3

Färbevorschrift A

EMI2.4
Preferred compounds of the formula I are those in which (1) X is Xl; (2) the azo group is in position 2 of the naphthyl radical and the sulfo groups are in positions 3.6.8, 4.6.8, 1.5.7 or 3.5.7; (3) R3 is hydrogen, R4 and Rs are independently hydrogen or methyl; (4) Rx is R 'and Rz is R'2; (5) Hal means fluorine or chlorine; (6) those of (1) to (5), wherein X is X2; (7) those of the formula
EMI2.5
in the form of the free acid or as a salt, in which the sulfo group in the naphthyl radical is in the 3 or 4 position and in particular in the 4 position;
; (8) those of (7), in which X3 is X4 and particularly preferably Xs.
The nature of the cation of the sulfo groups is not a critical factor, but it can be any non-chromophoric cation that is customary in the chemistry of reactive dyes, for example an alkali metal ion or unsubstituted or substituted ammonium ion. Examples of suitable cations are lithium, sodium, potassium, ammonium, mono-, di-, tri- and tetramethylammonium, triethylammonium and mono-, di- and triethanol ammonium.
Preferred cations are the alkali metal ions and ammonium, of which sodium is particularly preferred.
The compounds of the formula I, mixtures thereof and their salts, are prepared according to the invention by, on the one hand, a cyanuric halide with the amount of a monoazoamino compound of the formula which is equivalent to the reaction of a halogen atom
EMI3.1
which may be in acidic form or as a salt, or a mixture thereof and, on the other hand, in a molar ratio of 2: 1 with the diamine of the formula R4HN-X-NHR5 III or a mixture thereof, the reaction being independent of the order in which a compound is added of the formula II and III, and optionally converted into the salts.
The reaction is preferred in that the cyanuric halide is first condensed with the compound of the formula II and then with the diamine of the formula III.
The individual condensation steps are carried out according to methods known per se. The gradual replacement of the halogen atoms in the cyanuric halide is preferably carried out in a weakly acidic to weakly alkaline medium, for example the first chlorine atom is preferably exchanged at temperatures from 0 to 5 ° C., the second chlorine atom at an elevated temperature, preferably between room temperature and 65 ° C. As acid binding agents e.g. Sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium hydroxide or triethylamine are used.
The compounds of the formula I can be isolated in a manner known per se; e.g. the compounds can be separated from the reaction mixture by conventional salting out with alkali metal salts, filtered off and dried in vacuo.
The starting compounds of the formulas II and III are known or they can be prepared analogously to processes known per se, starting from known starting materials.
The compounds of the formula I according to the invention and mixtures thereof are reactive dyes; they are suitable for dyeing, padding and printing organic substrates containing hydroxy groups and nitrogen. The preferred substrates are leather and textile materials which consist of or contain natural or synthetic polyamides, such as wool, silk or nylon, and in particular natural or regenerated cellulose, such as cotton, viscose or cellulose.
The dyes have a distinctive character, which is why they are preferably used in the dyeing process. They can be used in dyeing liquors as self-dyes or as a combination element using all dyeing methods customary for reactive dyes in the pull-out range.
Dyes of the formula I which contain an unstable chlorine atom are preferably dyed at temperatures between 80 and 100 ° C.; those which contain an unstable fluorine atom are cold dyes and are therefore preferably dyed at temperatures between 20 and 40 ° C. The fixation with alkali takes place in a manner known per se at 80-1000C.
The dyes of the formula I are very extensive and show good fixing values. The dyeings obtained have good light fastness and fastness to chlorine (fastness to chlorine bath water and hypochlorite bleach) and fastness to peroxide bleaching; in addition, the dyes are not very sensitive to salt. Ordinary wet fastness properties such as fastness to washing, water or perspiration are perfect for dyeing.
In the following examples, parts mean parts by weight, the percentages percentages by weight; the temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
example 1
373.3 parts of 2-aminonaphthalene-4,6,8-trisulfonic acid (51.3%) are slurried in 500 parts of water, then the pH is adjusted to 2.5 with about 150 parts of sodium hydroxide solution (30%). After the addition of 125 parts of 30% hydrochloric acid, the mixture is cooled to 0-6 "with the addition of ice and then diazotized with 125 parts of 4N sodium nitrite solution within 45 minutes. The mixture is stirred for an hour, after which excess nitrite is destroyed with aminosulfonic acid.
68.5 parts of 1-amino-2-methoxy-5-methylbenzene dissolved in 250 parts of water with the addition of 50 parts of 30% hydrochloric acid, which were cooled to the bottom with ice, are introduced. For this purpose, the diazo suspension prepared above is allowed to flow in in a thin stream, with the simultaneous addition of portions of 100 parts of sodium acetate (crystalline). The result is a deep orange-red solution which is stirred overnight. Then it is adjusted to pH 4.5 with a little 20% sodium carbonate solution and salted out with about 10% by volume sodium chloride.
The azo dye is filtered off and dried at 80-90 under vacuum.
To a solution of 37.4 parts of the dye obtained in 400 parts of water, adjusted to pH 8.5, is added at about 2 "to 10 parts of cyanuric chloride, then the mixture is stirred overnight at 50. Then another 9.3 parts of cyanuric chloride are added added, the pH is kept at about 8 by adding triethylamine and the mixture is stirred for a further 5 hours at 5-10. After the condensation has ended, a little activated carbon is added and the mixture is clarified by filtering earth. 2.02 parts of 1 are added to the dye solution obtained , 3-diaminopropanol-2 in 60 parts of water. The mixture is stirred overnight at room temperature, then the mixture is stirred for a further 6 hours at 45 ", the pH being adjusted to 8 using triethylamine.
Salting out with approx. 15 vol.% Sodium chloride, filtering off and drying under vacuum at approx. 50 "gives the dye, which corresponds to the formula
EMI3.2
corresponds and colors the natural and regenerated cellulose in golden yellow tones. The dyeings in particular show no sensitivity to salt, they are chlorine-fast and have good light-fastness.
Analogously to Example 1, further compounds of the formula I can be prepared, for which the variables are given in Tables 1 to 3 below. The dyes in Table 1 correspond to the formula
EMI4.1
that of Table 2 of the formula
EMI4.2
that of Table 3 of the formula
EMI4.3
The symbols used for the radical D mean the following naphthyl radicals: A = 4,6,8-trisulfonaphthyl-2 B = 3,6,8-trisulfonaphthyl-2 E = 1,5,7-trisulfonaphthyl-2 F = 3.5 , 7-trisulfonaphthyl-2 G = 2,5,7-trisulfonaphthyl-1.
Depending on the production and isolation conditions, the dyes prepared analogously to Example 1 are present as sodium salts, but they can also be isolated by conventional measures in the form of the free acid or in the form of other salts. These dyes can be used to dye cellulosic fibers by the usual dyeing process; the dyes in Table 1 give golden yellow shades on cotton; With the dyes in Tables 2 and 3, yellow tones are also obtained; in Tables 2 and 3 it means a = yellow, b = reddish yellow and c = golden yellow. The dyeings show good light and wet fastness properties.

Example 72 Analogously to Example 1, the dye can also be according to the formula
EMI6.1
be produced that dyes cotton in golden yellow tones.
Possible applications of the reactive dyes according to the invention are illustrated in the following regulations.
Staining instructions A
1 part of the dye from Example 1 is dissolved in 300 parts of water. 10 parts of cotton are added to the dyebath and the temperature is set to 80C within 10 minutes. 30 minutes after the addition of 15 parts of Glauber's salt, 3 parts of sodium carbonate are added to the dyebath.
The dyeing is continued at 80 for 1 hour.
The dyed material is then rinsed first cold, then hot. The staining is soaped at the boil for 20 minutes in 500 parts of water and 0.5 part of sodium alkyl sulfonate. After rinsing, a golden yellow color is obtained with good light, wet and chlorine fastness properties.
Dyeing Instructions B
1.5 parts of the dye from Example 38 are dissolved in 500 parts of water. 15 parts of sodium chloride are added and 2.5 parts of a cotton fabric are added to the dyebath. The temperature is slowly increased to 40, after 30 minutes 10 parts of soda ash and another 15 parts of sodium chloride are added. Staining is continued at 40 for 30 minutes, rinsing and then soaping the dyed material as indicated for instruction A. After rinsing and drying, good light and wet fast cotton dyeings with a golden yellow tint are obtained.
