PATENT CLAIMS
1. briquetting press, in particular for wood shavings, sawdust and wood dust, with a conical feed hopper, in which a conveyor shaft is provided which is driven from below via a universal joint, with an intermittently driven pre-press screw, with a press piston and a cylinder-like press jacket, characterized in that that the press casing (10) is divided in the longitudinal direction and has two shell halves (10a, 10b), the lower shell half (10a) being firmly connected to the housing (14) of the press piston (13), that the upper shell half (1 Ob ), near the inlet connection (9) and after the pre-press screw (6), is provided with a joint (15) so that this shell half (1 Ob) can be swiveled upwards to expand the flow cross-section,
and that the outer end of the upper shell half (1 Ob) is operatively connected to a hydraulically operated stop piston (16), so that the upper shell half (mob) is raised when the pressure of the press piston (13) exceeds a predetermined value.
2. briquetting press according to claim 1, characterized in that the stop piston (16) via a pressure switch (17) and a solenoid valve with the cylinder (11) of the press piston (13) is in operative connection.
The invention relates to a briquetting press, in particular for wood shavings, sawdust and wood dust, with a conical feed hopper, in which a conveyor shaft is provided which is driven from below via a universal joint, with an intermittently driven pre-press screw, with a plunger and a cylinder-like press jacket.
In DE-PS 23 13 343 a briquetting press, in particular for metal chips, is published. A chip container is pierced by a press stamp, whereby a briquette is formed in a die. By moving the chip container, the die is removed from an end plate and the briquette is ejected from the press ram so that it can fall off.
CH-PS 628 837 relates to a briquetting press for heating material from waste. A fixed hopper is arranged above a rotary table provided with press cylinder jackets, which has a horizontal feed screw and a vertically acting pre-press piston which stuffs the press cylinder jackets. An upper press piston and a lower counter piston act diametrically opposite the prepress piston, the upper press piston pushing the briquette with the counter piston into an output ring, from which it falls on an inclined plane.
In DE-OS 30 49 276 a briquetting press for use in the peat, coal and coking industry for the production of heating briquettes and for use in agriculture for the production of briquettes from coarse feed for feeding cattle is proposed. Under the feed containers, which are fed by a screw conveyor and fed by a bunker, two pre-pressure cylinders designed in the opposite direction of rotation via Maltese crosses are arranged. The teeth of these two pressing elements limit a cylindrical pre-pressing space in their paired comparison. The pre-pressed briquette is pressed by a reciprocating press ram through a conical narrowing and an ejection channel.
The invention has for its object to achieve a constant strength of the briquettes by regulating the pressing resistance with a relatively small motor power and reduced energy consumption and simple construction.
This object is achieved according to the invention by a briquetting press which has the features listed in the characterizing part of patent claim 1.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject of the invention is shown. Show it:
Fig. 1 shows a schematically drawn cross section through the briquetting press, and
Fig. 2 is a view in the direction X of the discharge mouth of the press jacket.
The briquette press shown has a conical feed hopper 1, in which a conveyor shaft 3 provided with blades 2 is installed. This is driven from below via a bevel gear 4 and a universal joint 5. At the bottom of the hopper 1 there is an intermittently driven pre-press screw 6 which removes the wood residues 8 to be formed into briquettes 7, e.g. Brings wood shavings, sawdust and wood dust in an oblique direction through a nozzle 9 into a press jacket 10. A press piston 13 formed with a rear shoulder 12 is actuated by a press cylinder 11. During the forward stroke, the plunger 13 presses the material 8 supplied by the screw 6 into the press jacket 10, so that four briquettes 7 come to lie one behind the other in this.
The rear briquette surfaces, which are pressed relatively smooth by the plunger 13, form the separating surfaces of the individual briquettes 7.
The press jacket 10 has two shell halves 10a, 10b separated in its longitudinal center. The lower shell half 10 a is firmly connected to the housing 14 of the plunger 13. The upper shell half 10b is provided near the inlet connection 9 with a joint 15, the pivot axis of which lies transversely to the longitudinal axis of the press casing 10. The upper shell half 10b can thus be pivoted upwards about the joint 15, the through-flow cross section for the briquettes 7 being expanded and the pressing pressure being reduced. A hydraulically operated stop piston 16 acts on the outer end of the upper shell half 10b (FIG. 2). This is in operative connection with a solenoid valve (not shown in the drawing) and a pressure switch 17 connected to the press cylinder 11.
The plunger 13 presses the material 8 together with approximately 90% of its maximum pressing force. If the pressing force rises above this value, the stop bolt 16 is relaxed via the pressure switch 17, so that the upper half of the shell 10 can swing out somewhat upwards. As a result, the pressing resistance on the piston 13 is reduced and the outermost briquette 7 can be ejected without problems.
Shortly before the plunger 13 has reached its front end position, a limit switch 18 effects a backward stroke of the plunger 13. Approximately in the middle of this stroke, the motor of the pre-press screw 6 is switched on via a switch 19 and a time relay (not shown). When the plunger 13 has reached its rear end position, the stroke direction is reversed. The pressure behind the press piston 13 increases and also acts on the stop piston 16, which presses the upper shell half 10b downwards. The solenoid valve maintains the pressure on the stop piston 16 until the discharge pressure of the piston 13 exceeds its predetermined value.
The swiveling upper shell half 10b, which is under a certain adjustable pressure of the plunger 16, brings about a constant strength of the briquettes with different wood waste materials (chips, sawdust, wood dust), trouble-free ejection of the briquettes 7 and reduced energy consumption.
